Slow printing from Microsoft Publisher

My wife uses MS Publisher with VUsion 5 and Win 7. Everything is good until it tries to print the document. On average, it takes 5-10 minutes for the impression to be created and sent to the printer.

We run on a MBP with the retina, I return 2 cores and 4 GB of RAM to Fusion.

Everythng else works beautifully, but the printing problem is a show stopper because it prints a weekly newsletter about 3o people and it takes hours to print as it treats each copy as a new job should be calculated, so 30 x 5 minutes each is not really acceptable.

Anyone else see this issue?

That's cool. I'm glad to hear that news. So can you mark the correct answer and leave this thread closed? Thank you.

  • Slow printing from batch file

Windows 7 (32-bit), I have a batch file that prints on the printer network HP LaserJet Pro P1606dn via lpt1 mapped.  I see that the printer gets the impression that the light will blink.  The problem is that it is 3-4 minutes before the page is printed.  Printing from a windows like Notepad is not slow.  I used to do this from a Windows XP machine without problem. What is I found out is that if I include a jump (hex 0c) in the file, I print back then printing is fast.  Any ideas on what I can do outside including a form feed?

    Thank you

That being said, you could try to experiment the various settings of default data type in the part Print Processor of the tab Advanced of the dialog Properties of the Windows printer that uses your target LPT1: port.

for example, change from RAW to RAW [FF appended] or RAW [FF auto].

I have no idea if it will work.

    Welcome to the HP Forums.

I see that you are experiencing some printing problems when you attempt to print from microsoft word 2013.

I have some suggestions that we can try.

First, check the Microsoft web page for updates that may be available for the Word program.

Disable firewall or anti virus protection before printing.

Run the print HP and Scan Doctor just in case a problem is with the HP software.

  • HP Officejet 4630: Margins in Microsoft Publisher printer problem - 4630

Just bought a new printer (see above).  I use Microsoft Publisher a lot and have had no problem with fixing the previous HP printer margins.   It does not work with this printer.    I put a.5 pour.55 for low high margins and left and right margins.  Worked fine in another printer.  Also, the images will not print completely.

A decided to test the image on the page white and copied from the original page, and then glued on the blank page and pasted it in the exact area on the page, but when I printed, the image printed at the top of the page.  Crazy.  In addition, the picture is not all there.  For some reason, she is enlarged but part of it is missing.

I test this in Microsoft Word, same thing with the size of the image, but he did copy and paste correctly.

I just bought this printer and really upset.  I'm wasting so much paper to document student.

I thank in advance and hope you have an answer.

I answer to my previous post.  Even if I couldn't find the part where I set margins to reduce to a minimum, which apparently isn't serious.  I was able to keep my 0.5 for the left, top and right and 0.55 for the bottom.

The problem was with the images, so I tried different ways to bring in the images.  I had to remove the images in the document of the registered editor, then started using the "Snipping Tool" in Windows 7.  What I've been able to do with the previous printers, is just COPY what I have snipped and paste it into the editor.  That didn't work, so then I tried to save a .jpg file.  Still had a bit of trouble, so saved as .png.   Well, now I can add my text to the images and it keeps the sizes.

I think I'll try the .jpg stresses out me again I was really with all printing and paper waste, so I might have missed that .jpg would actually work.  Doesn't make sense that he would not, but it is not supposed that I can't paste the copy of the Snipping Tool, either.

Boy, you wish that the print heads had not come out on my previous HP printer.  It was great.

Thanks for trying to help me.

Now, I don't know how to set this as resolved because I do not see this option here. then let me know, please, how to do this.

  • Only Microsoft for Mac 2011 Will is more printed from Outlook

I have MB Pro 15 "it came with Outlook for Mac 2011 Home and Business. Yesterday morning, Excel, Word, and Apple mail will print.

Absolutely no impression of Outlook emails?

    Hi mrgasket101,

Thank you for using communities Support from Apple. I'm happy to help to provide resources to help you on the right track to be able to print from Outlook again.

Since you are always able to print from other applications, specifically other Microsoft Office applications, then it seems that the printer does not work as expected. This is good news!

When you print from Outlook, make sure that your printer is turned on and that you have selected it in the print of confirmation dialog that appears when you start printing.

If you continue to have problems after that, then it's probably a problem with Outlook, how I would recommend reaching out to Microsoft for support with their application.

    See you soon.

  • HP Officejet e4630: new printer prints images in Microsoft Publisher wrong.

Hello.  I had to get a new printer and choose the HP Officejet e4630.  It's a simple printer, as I work as well, now.

I create my documents to distribute lessons in Microsoft Publisher (2003) and includes images in tutorials.  I usually do the parts of the software to screen captures and simply copy and paste in the editor.   Never had a problem like this before.

Now, when I print documents, the images are HUGE and out of the page.  I resize and they look great on the screen, but come out terrible when printing.

I just had a class with several pages of documents to distribute up-to-date and had to make a PDF file and take to my husband printer to print, since there is the program I use to create.  Is not acceptable and does not know what the problem is.  I even took the screen shot and saved as .jpg, png, etc. and inserted in my editor program and that made no difference.

Configure the printer makes no sense to me and options have locks on them, so I am at a loss.

I bought the 21/08/15 and don't know if I can return it, so if you have answers for me, I certainly would appreciate it.  I really hate the return of products.

    Thank you.

Oh gosh, I had given up on the Forum because it's been a while since I posted.  What I did was contact HP support and finished with a person to enter in my remote computer and checking the settings, etc.  What she ended up doing updates to the software (I thought that I did when I installed it, duh!) and then it worked fine.

Thank you for your advice and will keep it in mind if needed, next time.

Now, I'll post this message and then come back here and hope that I find the original so I can mark it as resolved.  I always so bad to find my original message when signing.  The forums are confusing to me, this way.

    Thank you very much.

  • HP 14-r024tx Notebook PC: slow perfomarnce and crashes when you try to open Microsoft Publisher after restart/refresh

    Hello

I just bought my HP laptop 2 months ago. Everything was fine, quick and convenient until the market a few days ago, it prompted a message saying that I need to update it. So I did, and thereafter, all my installed applications like Skype, internet browsers, etc., have disappeared. I tried to reinstall applications and all goes well but a bit slower. I thought that I needed to update some applications to improve performance, so I checked for some and tried to install the.

Then yesterday, when I tried to open Microsoft Publisher, my laptop suddenly froze. The mouse and the keyboard didn't work so I had to turn off using the power switch. And every time I turned it on, everything was just slow.

Can you help me solve the problem? Also, can you help me to speed up its performance?

Thank you very much in advance.

    Hi @blissss ,

Thank you for visiting the Forums HP's Support and welcome. I will do my best to help you. I read on your 14 HP - laptop r024tx with slow speeds. Thank you for all the information on what is happening.

Something is slowing down the laptop. Have you installed some antivirus or firewall? If you disable what are your speed better. I got a DVD in my notebook that has slowed the process of starting a lot. You can check this.

Here's a document on improving your system.

Make sure that all updates are completed within the control panel or click the Windows key and start typing the laptop settings, then go to update.

Please let me know how it goes.

    Thank you.
