Slow suddenly G wireless

My knowledge is very limited and hope someone here can help.

With the help of people on this forum, I put my wireless G Router nearly a year ago. Now, all of a sudden last week my speed has slowed to a crawl. It is my desktop and laptop. I first contacted Comcast and of course, they say that everything is fine on their end it must be my router.

Any suggestions?

You get the slow speeds on the wired or Wi - Fi or on two of them and have never upgraded the firmware on the router.

    I have a problem with my Toshiba Satellite L500-128.

    After I installed Windows 7 Ultimate, my laptop is very very slow at startup. He hangs on to my wireless network connection or non - wireless (no matter whether I am connected to a cable). At this point, Windows has already started, but has not loaded al my applications yet. After 1.5 minutes or so when it is connected to my network (or has decided that he cannot connect because I'm not connected to a network), it continues and all is well.

    I already installed the latest network drivers. I have a Realtek PCIe FE Family Controller and an Intel Wifi Link 5100 AGN.

    Is there anyone who has this problem and fixed it?

    I had a similar problem on Windows XP... The problem is that I used my router DHCP service it takes up to 1 minute I could use the laptop. I searched a bit here in the forum and I tried to use static IP addresses instead of DHCP from my router service: the problem has been resolved! :)

    Please try static IP addresses and update the firmware on your router!

  • T400 problem with slow speed internet wireless. Help, please

    Just got my new T400 (276581U) and I am very happy with it. However, he has a problem. I searched extensively in this area and other forums, but have not found the solution. So any input or help would be greatly appreciated.

    Problem:
    upload and download speed is very slow when connected to wireless broadband. Measures download speed 1 Mbit/s on www.speedtest.net, while two other computers (XP and Vista) reach speeds 6 Mbit/s on the same network wireless download.

    I tested the computer via LAN and here it downloads at normal speed of 6 Mbps.

    OS: Windows 7
    Network cards:
    Intel 82567LF Gigabit network connection (driver version: 10.1.6.0)
    Intel Wifi Link 5100 AGN (driver version: 13.0.0.107)

    I have download all the latest drivers on the Lenovo support site. The pilot Gigabit Network Connection, I downloaded however Intel, as there is no driver windows 7 on Lenovo website. The Intel driver has improved my connection to the local network (before that I could not download the full site content) and it has not changed my connection Wireless for the better or worse.

    Wireless configuration:
    Wireless g connected to the modem access point high speed
    So, to access internet, I need to connect twice, first the access point, and then click the modem to broadband. This configuration works on two other computers in the House. The lenovo is however not seem to recognize that I am online, even when I am. The symbol "not connected" is always displayed in the toolbar, and diagnostic tests tell me that I'm not online. That might relate to the problem.

    Hi, my daughters hp 15 suddenly ceased to connect to internet. At worked earlier in the day at the school, shut down normally and now only connects to the wifi at home with limited connection.

    Have you tried stop/restart x 3

    Reset the modem/router x 2

    Ethernet cable

    diagnosis of HP

    None has solved the problem. Download drivers on realtek usb wifi and lan, and will try uninstall/reinstall tonight.

    I noticed some drivers that I download are dated 15/12/2015, these are perhaps the cause or are these patches for known issues with Win 10?

    Any help/thoughts appreciated...

  • HP Laserjet P1006 leaves suddenly printing wirelessly - between print jobs. Instantly.

    I used to be able to print wireless from my macbook Pro (OSX 10.8.3) on my Laserjet P1006.

    I can still print if I connect via USB, but as soon as I unplug the window ' print and scan "says that my printer is offline.

    I was inbetween print jobs when printer suddenly stopped allowing my computer to print wireless.  There was nothing that I could see that he would set.

    I tried to stop (computer and printer, same wireless router) and turn it on again.

    I tried showing computer not to retain printer... then you reconnect with USB to recognize as good as new.  That did not work.

    I tried to follow the instructions for MAC and for this specific printer to a post someone else the fact, but the instructions meant to hit utility from the 'Open Print Queue' window and I did not have this option.  He also says to look for Hello, I don't ' have that option.

    I'm wiped out.

    How can I return my wireless connection?

    Can you connected the pritner to a print server (a port on a router, etc.) in the past? specific model of said does not support any connection without using a USB key.

  • Suddenly "not (wireless) networks detected.

    Hi guys,.

    So I was on my laptop this morning (have had and used WiFi for over a year without problem) and suddenly lost my wireless connection. I'm as Windows 7 64-bit family.  At some point, there are still about 10 connections available wireless - mine and neighbors. Suddenly, none are detected at all.
    -J' turned off the Windows Firewall (only firewall I have). There is nothing.
    -J' I unplugged my modem and router and reconnected them and restarted my laptop. Still no networks.
    -J' checked for driver updates (everything was up-to-date).
    -I can connect to my WiFi on my iPhone and on other computers in the House. So given that and all the other networks I see normally cannot be detected or the other, I think that the problem is with the computer itself.
    -J' also tried a system restore, but it is on the "restoration of the system initialization" forever without actually doing anything.
    -I can also connect to the internet on this laptop if I plug the cable directly into it.
    Any ideas what's happening here? I searched all morning through similar topics but have not been able to solve the problem. Thanks for any help, that all the world can offer.

    On my laptop, I knocked together the following keys: fn (function) + f8. This change wireless power. For some reason, it worked contrary to right click and disable wireless manually. My friend suggested this because he had the same problem and it is solved for him also.  Your laptop can use a different combination of fn + f_. No idea why this worked or if it will work for everyone, but I've tried everything else and it instantly solved the problem for me anyway...

    Hello everyone, first of all, let me tell you that I'm not a computer expert and I have trouble understanding things on computers. I have really two problems that I would like the little help on the first is, I use Outlook Express for my e-mail and after I open him and click on the first e-mail, it will take more than a minute before I can read the email. It is never used to do this, and I'm not sure what I could have done to make? The second thing is, I have an old computer an OptiPlex GX260 with only 512 mbs. Lately, especially today, if it takes forever for a Web site, I chose to appear. As with the first problem that I described, this problem just got extremely bad. My computer has never been as fast as I would like, but being computer illiterate as I am, I got scared to try whatever it is that some sites suggest to do. Help at all for these two problems is greatly appreciated! I should add that I am still using Windows XP Professional as my operating system so this helps anyone reading my post. Thank you.

  • Slow to connect wireless

    Valet works fine with cable but it takes 5 to 8 minutes for laptops to have a local and internet access. With old wrt54g, it was almost automatic. Tried several computers laptops and netbooks, and same thing. Is sitting there saying 'identification '. Uninstalled and reinstalled Valet nothing helped. Once connected, it works fine, but just too long to connect. I tried to turn off all firewalls and antivirus/security setup nothing helps. Any suggestions?

    Change the wireless channel on your router to 1 or 11, and also on your computer, go to the properties of your adapter and uncheck "TCP/IPv6" Protocol and click OK... Remove all the networks in the list and then try to connect to your wireless network.

  • I have all of a sudden no wireless on my laptop - Windows Vista service pack 2

    The same day (2.05.11) this Office trial has expired, and IE updated itself (Solution Explorer images became transparent), performance is significantly slowed. video but not audio break-up/freezing. mouse/slow scrolling and sliding, etc.. Uninstalled Office apps of the trial as editor, but on reboot, video problems returned. GeForce 8400 Gs. definitely not a hardware problem.

  • All of a sudden my wireless mouse has stopped working. The mouse is on and relatively new.

    Tonight my mouse (Logitech) wireless has stop working.  This happened once, and one of my friends told me to remove the receiver, shut my computer down and put the mouse back in.  However, I don't remember the exact steps he gave me.   I tried several different things, but none seems not to work.

    The journal contains a large amount of information, almost all this is useless to solve any particular problem. When you post a journal excerpt, be selective. A few dozen lines are almost always more than enough.

    Please don't dump blindly thousands of lines in the journal in this discussion.

    Some private information, such as your name, may appear in the log. Anonymize before posting.

    When you post the journal excerpt, an error message may appear on the web page: "you include content in your post that is not allowed", or "the message contains invalid characters."   • Keyboard wireless suddenly stopped working - changed batteries still not helped

    Hello

    I have a craving for 20 all-in-one touch screen with a wireless keyboard that has been absolutely fantastic so far.  Suddenly, the wireless keyboard doesn't work while composing an email.  I replaced the batteries and check with a voltmeter to ensure 1.5V. There is an alkiline battery brand name.  I tried to re-boot the computer and pressing the blue connect button under keyboard.  The only keys that seem to work are the volume up/down and mute; the rest of the keyboard does not work.  Any idea?  I like the keyboard of the factory, so I hope this isn't a faulty keyboard.  After walking keyboards use a USB port.

    I understand that your wireless keyboard does not work and you are looking for help. I'm you provide a HP support document: wireless keyboard and mouse troubleshooting, who will guide you through the process of troubleshooting for your wireless keyboard.

    Now, if this does not work and you will need to replace the keyboard are not afraid you can replace the keyboard and the dongle without using another USB port as one that is can be replaced. I'd be happy to help you further and/or guide you through the dongle changing to a new wireless keyboard, but first of all, I encourage you to publish your product for your computer number. I'm a link a HP Support document below that will show you how to find the number for your product. So, if you could indicate what operating system you are using. And if your operating system 32-bit or 64-bit like this and the product number I can give you accurate information.

  • Suddenly wireless adapter no light N500

    I have a N500 who worked on upgrading Windows 7 Lenovo.  Suddenly the wireless card shuts off and will not respond to the function key.  The control panel shows installed but turned off.

    This is due to an update of windows?

  • Wireless adapter suddenly lost, disappeared from the Device Manager. How to prevent this?

    Ive looked all over the internet, but still nothing quite similar to this...
    -Asus PC V551LB-CJ093H
    -Windows 8
    -Wireless network adapter: Intel Dual Band Wireless-N 7260
    The problem is: laptop suddenly loses wireless wireless adapter because suddenly friggin disappears from the Device Manager, as did not exist. Only the wired network adapter still works and all things Bluetooth. The only way to resurrect from the dead is to restart my laptop. But I don't like this solution X_x. How can I stop my laptop disconnect my wireless connection?
    What I've tried:
    Auto-updated the driver from Device Manager
    -' Find the hardware changes' on Device Manager
    -Disable "allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" the power of the device management
    The only thing that has worked now:
    -Restart the laptop.
