Slowing suddenly

Hello everyone, first of all, let me tell you that I'm not a computer expert and I have trouble understanding things on computers. I have really two problems that I would like the little help on the first is, I use Outlook Express for my e-mail and after I open him and click on the first e-mail, it will take more than a minute before I can read the email. It is never used to do this, and I'm not sure what I could have done to make? The second thing is, I have an old computer an OptiPlex GX260 with only 512 mbs. Lately, especially today, if it takes forever for a Web site, I chose to appear. As with the first problem that I described, this problem just got extremely bad. My computer has never been as fast as I would like, but being computer illiterate as I am, I got scared to try whatever it is that some sites suggest to do. Help at all for these two problems is greatly appreciated! I should add that I am still using Windows XP Professional as my operating system so this helps anyone reading my post. Thank you.

A slowdown is suddenly very probably caused by a malware (virus or some
another type of malicious software) infection. I of course do not know with certainty who
That's your problem, but this should be the first thing you should
study and search.

  • Slow suddenly G wireless

My knowledge is very limited and hope someone here can help.

With the help of people on this forum, I put my wireless G Router nearly a year ago. Now, all of a sudden last week my speed has slowed to a crawl. It is my desktop and laptop. I first contacted Comcast and of course, they say that everything is fine on their end it must be my router.

    Any suggestions?

You get the slow speeds on the wired or Wi - Fi or on two of them and have never upgraded the firmware on the router.

  • slowing suddenly, poor performance of Media Center, video breakup. __

The same day (2.05.11) this Office trial has expired, and IE updated itself (Solution Explorer images became transparent), performance is significantly slowed. video but not audio break-up/freezing. mouse/slow scrolling and sliding, etc.. Uninstalled Office apps of the trial as editor, but on reboot, video problems returned. GeForce 8400 Gs. definitely not a hardware problem.

Run the Console application in one of the following ways:

☞ Enter the first letters of his name in a Spotlight search. Select from the results (it should be at the top).

☞ In the Finder, select go utilities ▹ of menu bar or press the combination of keys shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.

☞ Open LaunchPad and start typing the name.

The title of the Console window should be all Messages. If it isn't, select

  • iMac suddenly running really slo

    Hello!

I need assistance with my iMac, which is really slow suddenly. He now has trouble even during startup. I tried to use the activity monitor, to see if all the apps are used for the amount of ram, but no. Even when no programs are working it just continues to load. I tried everything that suggested, but can't seem to find the problem.

I tried to use time machine to recover from the last successful backup and solve for 1-2 days. After that he went back to the slow loading and I can't do anything.

    What I tried:

-verified activity monitor. Some applications use a large amount of ram.

-Check the amount of storage on the hard drive (more than 50% is unused)

-Used disk utility to check the hard drive. Issues here either

-Diskwarrior used to rebuild the hard drive

-Tried to start up the Mac in safe mode (hold down the SHIFT key) and it started without any problems and was not slow at all.

    I appreciate all the help

Your description is a classic description of a failing hard drive. Backup your computer, saved once before doing anything ELSE. Take the computer to your Apple Store or FSAA and him diagnosed professionally. Assuming that it's just a HD, have it replaced and then use your Time Machine backup or clone a bootable backup to restore your system. If you don't know stores or FSAA, please click https://locate.apple.com/country to start to find a.

However, if you are sure that it is not a HD, so please publish a report of EtreCheckof your system. We then look for obvious problems. Please click on the link, download the application and run the report. Once you have the report, please copy and paste into your response to this post.

If you would like more information on what is EtreCheck, just click on the link and you will find a description of the application.

    That's what I have: HP Pavilion a6457c

    GeForce 6150SE nForce 430

Card mother name: M2N68 - LA

Service Pack 1 of Windows Vista (64-bit)

    HP/Compaq motherboard name: Narra3-GL8E

8 GB (4 x 2 GB), I took memory hp and installed 2 Patriot and corsair 2 total sticks 8 GB

    500 GB SATA 3G (3.0 Gb/s)

Factory power supply Bestec ATX-300-12Z 300-Watt

    1. After owning this PC for 2 weeks, I ran Free Registry Cleaner amlsoft.com. To my surprise, I got errors 24343.

What causes this?  This analysis is even good to do?

    2. the speed of the PC is horrible. I have not installed any undesirable. All factory settings.

    61, ongoing process

    18% memory used

I am new to this, so I need an advisor.

    Thank you.

Given that the PC is only two weeks old, we will start from scratch by running the recovery of HP software to clean and reload windows (bring back provided the factory).  Just connect the keyboard and mouse to the computer (printer, scanner, USB key removal, etc.).

1 remove Norton.  You should go to the SYMANTEC Web site to download a utility to completely remove your version of Norton.  Restart the PC.

    2. type MSCONFIG in the Run dialog box.  Click START box and uncheck all of the boxes.  Save/apply and restart PC.

3 open the case and remove the two additional RAM modules (pair of Corsair or Patriot).  Vista requires no more than 4 GB of physical memory, unless you do crazy stuff with the PC.  It will take more time to start with 8 GB of RAM.  The extra RAM also feeds on CPU clock cycle a little more.  The unused RAM is added more heat from the system.

Now, restart the PC.  The total boot time should be less than 45 sec (switch shot at the 1st appearance of the desktop).  If the PC is always very slow, then you may have a problem with the hardware (hard disk or RAM).

Do not add a bunch of hardware and software at the same time.  Apply one at a time and restart.  If you see a slowing suddenly, you know the culprit.

I like the blink of an ŒIL AntiVirus version 2.7.  It is very light and fast.  Version 3.0 is a little slower.  V4.0 is new, so we will do other work bugs.  Avast Home is slower, but it's FREE.  Detection is very good.

  • Smartphones blackBerry Service Pack download problem

    Hello.

I am trying to display Asian characters in my "BOLD", but I have problems with service packs.

I have problems to download any service pack! I tried the Hong Kong packs and packs of AT & T but my problem is that the download is going really slow, suddenly stops and the file download is incomplete. This is perhaps due to the blackberry Web site?

I tried to download several packages, different suppliers, different days this week, even using different browsers (Firefox, Chrome), but it's not helping.

No idea what's going on? or what to do?

Servers without doubt just slow and/or you are login time-out.

There is no servers spread down that I've heard.

    Keep trying.

  • Reading first Pro/Encore CS5 problems

I managed to create a DVD (of a hockey practice) by Premiere Pro (linked to yet) without error. It renders correctly on 3 different computers to Windows 7 through Windows Media Player, but I have tried in my standalone DVD player and it won't even read the disc. This player is older, but it does not play movies rented without any problem.

I tried the DVD that I created on two other computers running the operating system XP with Windows media player. He played an a XP computer but not the other. On the XP computers who was able to read the DVD, when suddenly included a skater who was moving quickly, the image of the skater resembled its change of vertical lines. If the static or slow suddenly moving parts are not deformed look. There is no distortion on computers running OS W7.

Since I'm new ovbiously in this process, I wondered:

    1. why XP computers (and my standard DVD player) are not able to play the video and what I can do to compensate for if a person who wants to see this DVD XP or an older DVD player.

    2. why the other player display objects moving quickly as distorted (and I can it compensate for).

Thanks to all those who can help you.

Well, I think that your problem is in the type of the floppy disk that you use. Typically the old DVD players and dvd rom is read-only DVD-R and control of speed not faster then 4 x.

Also the discs rent you are slightly different, then those you burn. First of all they are DVD-R, second-they are stamped not burned, of much better quality. We must also look at what rate burn you your DVD. Some former players can play only 7mbps. and some better brands can play up to 9 Mbps. And sometimes Audio should be mpeg2 only for older players.

So, try different dvd, graver burn at a lower speed, try to burn with a different bitrate, make sure that your audio codec is Dolby digital or mpeg2 for audio.

  • In Mac Os Sierra why is he suddenly slow opening of folders of bookmarks in the sidebar of Safari?

Since the installation of Mac Os Sierra I'm suddenly affected by a very slow opening and closing bookmark next to Safari bar files when I click on them.  Regularly, it takes 3 seconds for a file to open or close to display the list of bookmarks in a file.  Does anyone else know this?  Trying to solve the problem, I have repaired the Mac HD, emptied all my caches in the library in the Finder, reset the PRAM and am now ideas.

Make a backup using Time Machine or a cloning program, to ensure that data files can be recovered. Two backups are better than one.

Try to set up another admin user account to see if the same problem persists. If back to my Mac is enabled in the Preferenes system, the guest account will not work. The intention is to see if it is specific to an account or a system wide problem. This account can be deleted later.

Isolate a problem by using a different user account

If the problem is still there, try to start safe mode using your usual account.  Disconnect all devices except those necessary for the test. Shut down the computer and then put it up after a 10 second wait. Immediately after hearing the startup chime, hold down the SHIFT key and continue to hold it until the gray Apple icon and a progress bar appear. Startup is considerably slower than normal. This will reset some caches, forces a check for directory and disables all start-up and connection, among other things. When you restart normally, the initial restart may be slower than normal. If the system is operating normally, there may be 3rd party applications that pose a problem. Try to delete/disable the third-party applications after a reboot using the UN-Installer. For each disable/remove, you need to restart if you do them all at once.

  • MacBookAir suddenly very slow

    Hello

for three years, I never had any problem with my Mac. Now, all of a sudden, from one moment to the other, it runs very slowly. Also, I have to force every time you start the Mac with pressing the button for a few seconds. When closing the laptop and opening it, it locks again as well (only the screen black, start must be forced).

First thing I noticed was that kernel_task uses up to 400% of the RAM. I tried to find the problem myself, read about kernel_task, and did the following things (without success):

-Updated to the latest version of El Capitan

    -Reset NVRAM and SMC

-hardware running apple diagnostics test (Code: ADP000 find anything)

-removal of protected system /System/Library/Extensions/IOPlatformPluginFamily.kext/Contents/PlugIns/ACPI_SMC _PlatformPlugin.kext/Contents/Resources to another folder, files and then reboot

    -make an EtreCheck.

Can someone help me? Especially to interpret the diagnosis of EtreCheck?

  • MacBook Pro suddenly slow

This week my MacBook Pro 13 inch (end 2011) started to run slowly.  The slowdown mainly occurs during internet browsing.  I tried clearing my cache, reset my SMC and read other similar topics and followed their advice.

I just finished a report of entrecheck and is as below.  Any advice would be greatly appreciated.  Caveat limited computer knowledge:

Start inSafe Mode and see if the problem persists?

    Restart now ' shift '.

(Wait to take more time to start in this way because it runs a check of directory first.)

Also give it some time after the start because it is running maintenance routines at the beginning.

  • Suddenly slow Firefox

I would appreciate any help with this problem.

I'm suddenly having trouble with Firefox. When I try to enter any field open on an open monitor, there is a significant lag between pressing the keys and the characters that appear on the screen.

It started two days ago. I added not all add ons for Firefox itself. I have download a program for reading magazines called Zinio.

Other programs, including the Explorer, work correctly. I downloaded a new copy of Firefox but also tried to update the program, and neither helped.

Could Zinio cause a problem in Firefox? Is there something else that could cause this problem?

I am running Windows 7 on a Dell computer that has less than two years.

Hi Bhamilton, please see if it describes (and corrections) the problem you see: Firefox is slow after upgrading to Firefox 38

  • MacBook Pro (Yosemite 10.10.5) suddenly very slow, Help!

Hi all, I have recently been faced with a problem hindering my Macbook Pro 13-inch mid-2012. I was using my computer - as I do regularly - watch videos, listen to music, play video games, etc. (the usual activities of the summer), and my computer seems slow down suddenly. The videos are now restless and I have to wait an excruciatingly long time to load. He is fighting same - showing the Rainbow ball of death - when I open a new finder window or a tab on Google. Start the system also takes at least twice as long as he had done before. So I went looking for a solution to the problem. I updated my computer to Yosemite 10.10.5, as I had not updated for a while, erased some decent space on the permissions of my 500 GB HDD (105 GB free space), checked and readers on the disk utility and tested my material on Apple Hardware Test. Nothing I've done seems to fix or help the problem. I got this computer from early 2013 and have had a few problems with the computer, but nothing I couldn't fix easily, so when I couldn't find the solution to my problem with hours of violin, I thought that I would like to ask the community. Is it typical, is there a known solution? If this is not the case, what can help? Let me know if you need additional information about almost anything. Thank you!

    Specifications of the computer:

Processor: Intel Core i5 2.5 GHz

  • My MacBook Pro is running extremely slow all of a sudden. Help, please!

My MacBook Pro is in running extremely slow all of a sudden, that way for several days now and I can't understand what is the cause.

Details: MacBook Pro (13-inch, late 2011)

    Processor - 2.4 GHz Intel Core i5

    Memory - 4 GB 1333 MHz DDR 3

Storage - 500 GB SATA (264.44 498.88 free GB) drive

OSX - El Capitan 10.11.5 version

I tried the simple things such as checking for indexing spotlight, my home screen of the size of the compensation, first aid running in disk utility, etc.. But had no results. Any suggestions would be very appreciated!

Back up all data immediately, as the internal drive may be failing.

When you see a beachball cursor or the slowness is particularly bad, note the exact time: hour, minute, second.

These must be run as administrator. If you have only one user account, you are the administrator.

SYSTEM LOG QUERIES ▹ all Messages

in the list of logs on the left. If you don't see this list, select

List of newspapers seen ▹ display

in the menu at the top of the screen bar.

Each message in the journal begins with the date and time when it was entered. Highlight date back to the time you noted above.

Select the messages entered since then until the end of the episode, or until they begin to repeat, whichever comes first.

Copy messages to the Clipboard by pressing Control-C key combination. Paste into a reply to this message by pressing command + V.

The journal contains a large amount of information, almost all this is useless to solve any particular problem. When you post a journal excerpt, be selective. A few dozen lines are almost always more than enough.

Please don't dump blindly thousands of lines in the journal in this discussion.

Please do not post screenshots of log messages - text poster.

Some private information, such as your name, may appear in the log. Anonymize before posting.

When you post the journal excerpt, an error message may appear on the web page: "you include content in your post that is not allowed", or "the message contains invalid characters." It's a bug in the forum software. Thanks for posting the text on Pastebin, then post here a link to the page you created.

If you have an account on Pastebin, please do not select private in exposure menu to paste on the page, because no one else that you will be able to see it.

  • MacBook Pro mid-2009 suddenly slow

I need to replace my computer, or double the RAM work?  Everything is suddenly slower and the "beach ball" appears more and more often.

I ran EtreCheck, but not anything about the significance of the results.
