  I know that this has been posted a million times, but for some reason any has not been posted for my specific model of HP laptop.  I have a G6 - 2288CA.  I upgraded from windows 8 for windows 7 because I can't bear windows 8.

  I realize that HP has no obligation to help me find windows 7 drivers for it, but still, it would be really nice.

  In any case, in my device manager I have:

  I've scoured the forums and tried every driver that has been posted for this.  I installed more AMD catalyst as well, and everything seems to work properly.

  I'm on Win 7 64 bit.

  I think there must be compatible with it for Win 7 for another laptop drivers.  Thanks in advance.

  I recently bought toshiba Satellite C660 laptop M21G with windows 7 32 bit installed (not not licensed) and I installed all the hardware drivers except the SM Bus controller and driver of Nvidia GeForce graphics card, this because it will not terminate on the web site of toshiba, or other medium there but when I try to install the Chipset utility or the display driver (driver VGA) an error message appears in the two installation indicates that I have not matched the software requirments of minimum requirements for the installation of the display adapter and chipset.

  I don't know why these requirments does not include in the error message?

  I did a fresh install of Windows XP in a Presario R3210CA using a Windows disc. I installed the drivers from the HP site, but my Device Manager indicates that I need a SM Bus controller driver. I think this would be the chipset driver that I need, but I don't see a driver chipset on the Web site. I think that the chipset is made by Nvidia so tried Nvidia site, but did not find a driver. What I'm missing here.

  I have a device driver kernel mode for a particular item of equipment that is installed as part of an .msi package. When the device is connected to a physical machine, the driver installs and is usable, and everything looks good in Device Manager.   I am aware of things that can cause this, such as a bad driver signed, but I've not seen elsewhere behave differently on a physical hardware compared to a virtual machine. I know that the USB port is listing the device, I can see the configuration of the device in USBView. A breakpoint set on the driver with WinDbg DriverEntry() function does not, and the driver does not see when the loaded modules are listed, so it does not appear that loading the device driver.

  I'm a little confused here. It is very reproducible on several systems running Windows 7 x 64 (I'll try for other operating systems as well to see if that makes a difference). I tried both USB 1.1 and 2.0 compatibility (the device is USB full speed). What a difference a virtual machine can make between the enumeration of devices and the device driver loading? Any thoughts?

  Problem solved by my colleague, who is responsible for the installer. It turns out we were building our driver with KMDF 1.7 but specifying 1.9 in the file INF. building the driver with KMDF 1.9 fixed. There is some mystery here as to why he acted differently on a virtual machine on a physical computer, but for now we are just pleased to put the matter behind us.

  I had this problem as well and I burned another copy of the ISO and it worked fine.

  It seems that this message could be related to a bad disk, or a bad burn.

  Try to burn the ISO again, you can try to use the Microsoft Store ISO burning tool (I used, works very well) located here:

  If this does not work I would recommend to put the ISO on a USB key (using the same tool ISO link above) and try installing from the USB stick.

  If you don't have a usb key that is large enough, the last step to try is to re-download the ISO and burn it again, we have seen some cases where ISO wasn't the right size and has proved to be an incomplete download / corrupt ISO.
