• Solaine Veera - why Photoshop Crop Tool problem?

  Yesterday, I had the problem with the photoshop crop tool. She usually works well, but suddenly he acted, whenever I try and harvest anything the image turns into a little dot I have NO idea why.   It seems with each of the recent versions, the crop tool has become more and more obscure and unusable. The photo I am cropping slides in all directions as the screen is on a weird traction system, there are a few forward passes I can argue the box in the right spot. The box is not snapshot-able. It's barely scans at all. And new options for modes of culture? Absolute madness. No option for just a box of design and culture, there is more. There was nothing wrong with the crop tool. Now it's broken and aggravating.

  What version of Photoshop are you? If more PS cs6, try clicking on the button 'Clear' in the Option toolbar of harvest.

  Please post a screenshot of PS whole crop tool window. There are option boxes upstairs you you have something selected and registered. There is also a button 'clear '. Hit that and test.

• Crop tool leaves halo on the edges of the image

  You have noticed that the Adobe photoshop crop tool, when used to make the image bigger than he was, leaves a halo around the edges of the image?  This happens only if the image is on its own layer, separated from the background.  Any way to prevent that?  It is annoying and needs to be cleaned afterwards, and there is no reason for this.

  

  This happens when, for example, I'm taking a picture and turn it into a wallpaper of the computer. If the image does not resize to the size of the screen of 1920 x 1080, and I don't want some of the image to crop, I drag the widgets of resizing of culture outside the bounds of the image, which creates the new area outside the boundaries of the image filled with the background color and the halo boring on the edges of the image in the upper layer.

  This happens when the image is cropped to the format that is not compatible with the native file size - that is to say a greater height or width as the native image file.  PS use your background color (white) to fill the empty space.

  Hi, is it possible to control the rate of the crop tool in CS5 so by dragging a corner to enlarge or reduce the harvest in a fixed ratio as for example the 16:9 format. Otherwise you will be continually adjusting when you make bigger or smaller.

  The crop tool would work for me, if you could do it keep the current resolution and not resample the image

  If you do not set a resolution in culture options tool, the tool does just cropping it.

  It resamples only if you define a specific resolution.

  Hi, I use Photoshop CS5.1 on two computers; on the laptop, it works fine, but about 6 weeks ago I started having problems with the cropping tool on my work computer (all other functions seem to work).

  When I mark an area and then click Enter he removes the entire image instead of register the domain I scored. Everything else seems to work very well. Have I missed an update or changed without knowing a setting?

  Or it's just a strange bug? I'm not too keen on the reinstallation of the program, because that would mean having to reinstall InDesign etc. too, and I really need this program now. Any ideas?

  I would say to reset the tool and see if that makes the difference.

  To reset a tool, you must first have the selected tool. Then Ctrl-click (Windows users: right click) the button tool preset in the Tool Options bar.

  

  When you click this button, you will see a small menu and you can select Tool Reset to reset the current tool to its default value or reset all tools to deliver all the tools to its default value. Once selected, the tool will act as the first time you have used it.

  

  Using this simple method to reset your tool with a single click, you can quickly remedy any situation where the tool does not correctly and to maintain the flow of creativity going.

• Crop tool drag with Photoshop CC 2014

  I've looked everywhere and spoke with Adobe support by CAT (they abruptly ending?!) and Twitter and have no any resolution for this. I hope someone can help.

  I'm doing a simple harvest. I did a million times with no problems BEFORE CC 2014.

  I select the crop tool and try to drag, but still, it stops immediately and selects the entire image as the harvest forecast.

  I tried:

  • using the "classic" Mode
  • Different reports/resolutions
  • Uninstall/re-installing
  • installation of the latest update - but that still fails. -I'll even completely uninstall, then when he goes to re - install will install the files (after 1 million attempts to default to download) and then fails on an update it is trying to install. I tried at least 20 times. AT LEAST!

  Any help would be greatly appreciated!  What is my NVIDIA GeForce 8400GS? (I know this isn't the reason for the downloads of Adobe servers failures - that sits on them).

  That's exactly what I thought at first, then I tried a small great image and I had the same problem.

  Having read 100s of messages, I found the answer.

  Solution: Stop the service of synergy

  I stopped this service and now drag works!  Crazy - I would have never thought it.

  Recently installed photoshop CC 2015 and when using the crop tool after pressing the check box the software takes forever and never crops the image. How can I fix it?

  Some tools are hidden by other tools into groups

  You can left click and hold on the tools that have a small triangle to view the hidden tools

  For the crop tool you can press C and then hold down SHIFT and press the C key to access the crop tool

  Is it hidden behind the slice tool?   All tools with a small triangle in the lower right corner, have move behind them tools.

  You can use the hotkey "c", but if the crop tool is hidden, press SHIFT c until you see.

  I have been using the several years crop tool to crop and straighten photos without problem. I prefer this to the automated straightening method. However, now a picture, namely 9 x 6cm / 300 DPI/1063 x 709 pixels, going down to a square/0.01 pixel small 0.01 cm as soon as I hit "reframe" without any apparent option for me the control or correct this.
