Small particles Image filtering

Hello

I am trying to build a vi that can count the number of some particles, and I followed the two example of analysis of particles by NOR. The problem is that the resolution is not very good, and the particles which I'm counting are somewhere in the middle range (see particle I.vi). When I tried to incorporate more restrictive filters (see particle.vi) it does not find any particle. I would appreciate any suggestions you may have on this count with a bit of precision / constantly.

Thank you

Hey Kevin,

I worked there. Thank you much.

  • merging layers makes more small png images?

    Hello:

I have a Windows 8 and I use Photoshop CC - the most recent update.

I'm curious about something and can't seem to find an answer...

Merged layers before saving the image for the web mark the file size more small?

Or is - not important how many layers (open) the image has when comes time to save it for the web?

I thank very you much for your time.

If you group before you save it to the web you loos your layers, your work.  If you use save for web or save an image file in a file format that does not support layers such as Jpeg and PNG. Photoshop will temporary flatten the depth of color change of current of 8 bits if you need document be, possibly convert to sRGB color space then encode images in the file format wished to record, write the file, then restore your document to the State it was before you did save it for web or save as.  You can then keep you work by saving the document in a file format that supports layers, PSD, PSB or Tiff.

  • Why are my smaller placed images that I expect?

I am designing a game of cards bridge-size for printerstudio.com in InDesign, and will be given merge in images of a worksheet.  I have 128 photos in photoshop for the Basemaps which are defined in pixels exactly 1122 x 747, the metadata says 300 DPI.

I create a new document in InDesign and have set the size of the document to 1050 x 675 pixels with a 36 pixel bleed and margin 36 pixel, which puts the total size more bleed to 1122 x 747, which is what I want.  I also tried the same values, except as points.

When the image of places, it is much smaller than I expect, and well as info link, the properties of the image are 1122 x 747, real and effective 300 PPI, when I measure on the page that it is said that it is 269.28 x 179,28 pt or px, according to what I have to change the preference.  However, if I measure in inches, this is the correct 3.75 by 2.5 nominal without bleeding.

So obviously the document assumes a 72 dots per inch of resolution and 1 pixel = 1 point, instead of the 300 pixels per inch, I want to be, and it changes the size of image pixel to match the correct size of real thumb.

I found that I can work this around by setting my document to 3.75 x 2.5 inches, which makes some sense, but I cannot wrap the head around why it behave the way which it doesn't.

So, why is a document of 1122 pixels x 747 pixels size actually a document of 269,28 pixels 179,28 pixels?  I want just a canvas 1122 x 747 pixels which is completely filled by a picture of pixel 1122 x 747 placed.  Why is it so difficult?

When you select pixels of your unit, ID maps to a rule unit equal to 1 pt, so your leaders are 72 dpi.

When you pass, if you save the image at 300 dpi, it also includes a physical dimension which is the number of pixels divided by the resolution. ID reads this physical dimension and use it as a scale of 100%, so your image seems to have been scaled down, but it's the same pixels, crammed into a small space. Scaling upwards or downwards in ID has no effect Watt on information in pixels in the image.

Pixels have no physical size. If you print your picture on a balloon, you can jump to the top very great, and the number of pixels of the image does not change. Similarly, resolution has no meaning until you put an image in physical form. As jump you the ball the pixels of the image even change resolution in inverse ratio to the amount of expansion. ID works in the physical world. Your pages have 'real' dimensions and you you size content to fit these dimensions as you want.

  • WMP has a VERY small video image that will NOT grow everything.

A few months ago my WMP was not and is still not functioning. I deleted all versions of WMP, until I had the original that came with my computer (WMP5 or 6, not sure). I reloaded my operating system twice. I deleted, reinstalled, downloaded the latest and best several times. I still can't WMP to play a video properly. Even when I set the video size to "Fit screen" or "200%" video is still about 1/10 the size of the screen. To 100% normal size is about 1/20 the size of the screen. The video image WILL NOT grow anything.
What should I do to get this corrected?

    Hi shanevj,

You can try to download the file and save it to a location, and then try to play the video.

    Step 1:

You can try to play the video in full screen and check.

    a. open Windows media player, and then click view

    b. Select full screen and check.

    Also read the following article:

Windows Media Player10 refuses to enter full screen mode

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/555475/en-us

    Step 2:

You can also download the latest codecs for the media player in Windows XP

You can use your favorite search engine to download and install the third-party codecs for windows media player.

Note: The use of third-party software, including hardware drivers can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the use of third-party software can be solved. Software using third party is at your own risk.

You can use the police Panel find to replace the - SC700 with the version you see in artificial intelligence? You should get a dialog box telling you the missing font. In this dialog box should be a button to search for a font. In the dialog box, select the missing font and replace it with another version or fonts.

  • Automatic image resizing - small for the size of the window

When you view a stand-alone image too large to fit in the window, Firefox it is automatically resized.

That is fine, but I'm on small images most of the time. Have to zoom in manually the image each time to get around window size is very tedious, and I would avoid the rigmarole.

Expansion Image Autosizer for Opera has the function I'm looking for, but I couldn't find an equivalent for Firefox.

I wrote a user script (for use with Scriptish).

    • It automatically zooms in small images.
    • Left click the image, it returns to its original size.
    • Left click again of will zoom in again (useful for example if you maximize the window to get a better view, after the image has already been automatically zoomed in).
    • By default, this script does not on URLs without an extension of image (like this comic) file. These URLS can be added manually in Scriptish preferences for the script.

Looks like you want to use the filter particles and analysis of the particles the steps in the wizard of Vision. Vision Assistant is part of the Vision Development Module (VDM). The steps I listed are found in processing functions: binary Vision Assistant section. The particle filter can remove small particles which are not of interest. The analysis of the particle can give you counts and measures of interest. There are other steps in the same section, which can also be useful for your application.

  • Animating JPG containing particles

Hello people of land of After Effects.

One of my clients gave me a jpg containing a logo. The logo is made up of small particles which together form a shape of a light bulb.

I wan't to make an existing animation of this bulb of particles and that explosions to break all around. Is there a normal amount of work to this effect in After Effects? Or is it possible that by hand, which in my case will take too long.

Thank you for all the answers! Have a great day!

You can count on Rick for a solution simple and subtle. I forgot how powerful and useful effect glow really is. now because of you and Rick, I learned something new and dug for this purpose with your image. It is therefore the ventilation to do what (Rick, correct me please ANYTIME). What lack me in experience, I make up in vigorous research in the right way. and detailed messages. So here it is:

    1. remove the bulb in photoshop, leaving just the breast. You can do this in a number of ways: I used select-> color range for 95% of it. and the other manually with the polygon Lasso tool.

    2. another layer should be just x and do more to copy paste until it looks like this.

I just copy pasted the Red again and again on top of the other and makes a dynamic object and it masked under the shape of the bulb so that the Psd file should look like this:

    AE configuration is the following:

    1. I duplicated the Red layer and make a precomp out of it-> leave attributes - this will be my card to tell the effect that we are about to add, how burst based on the color values.

2 listen to this, it took me over an hour to figure out why the layer was not explode properly by simply using itself! you need the layer to be divided somehow by color, otherwise it will be a big piece that is, if the color of the bulb x information is connected - I won't get it separations between the exploded forms... instead, I had a big form falling downwards and a couple of ugly x so I need make the space between them. in the precomp I used color range effect to make transparent holes between the x (PS I used black contour layer Style to make the layers look the same and it is suitable for matte extraction because it is very different from the Red) just enough to make my red layer in the brilliance of master computer properly. (I the two windows open and examine the issue I'm working)

now in my hand Comp I applied to burst. my boss set to Custom, then set it to my personalized card to break my Precomp card we did before. has increased my RADIUS so the explosion will be wide enough. and so that effect not to crops by the boundaries of the layer, I added our old friend "Grow Bounds' effect and increased the value of the Pixels.

    ended up with this:

now please give me your customer details so I can pick up my check. FACT

  • application 2D median filter for images

I want to use the function of median filter 1 d LabVIEW for application table 2d (image).  Vision doesn't have this feature (or I can't find not [using Vision 8.5]).  I guess I can apply the median filter 1 d through the lines, then transpose the table and apply again to the lines (really columns but now the lines because of the conversion).   Just like the use of the 1-d FFT for 2d FFT.  Is this strategy the correct?

    Thank you

    Don

That's where - IMAQ NthOrder under treatment: Image filters.

By default, it takes the middle number of a 3 x 3 around each pixel region, but can be set to be the biggest, smallest, or any place in between.  Also the ability to set the size of the filter, although it is a non-linear filter (so why it is not separable as you suggest) the time increases significantly.

  • Select the image to display

    Hello

I have a following problem. I have a VI that displays three images (all have the same size). I can view each image in the selected Image appears of range of Vision. As you can see in the picture below two views of the Image have the same size, and one is bigger.

What I want to achieve is the ability to choose (using for example the buttons) image that should be displayed on screen. For example, when I press the button "Image1" and then the first image appears on the bigger screen (the other two images are displayed in small poster Image). When I press the button "Image2" then the second image is displayed in the largest screen of the Image and so on... Is it possible to do?

    Hello diesel,.

    1. have you tried to change the resolution of the computer?

It seems to me that the resolution of the computer is changed after you disconnected the projector. I suggest changing the resolution and check if you have the same problem.
