  I recently had to restore an old image of windows (to correct a bad driver file).  After that, the synchronization with Outlook from my Blackberry has stopped working.  I uninstalled and reinstalled the desktop software.  I tried to reset the settings and tried to restore to a date before the problem.  However, whenever I try to sync between the Blackberry (Bold 9780) a copy of my PC from Microsoft Outlook, I get a pop up window that says "Intellisync - reported of unknown error."

  There is virtually no diagnosis of those - they are the equivalent of random errors in Windows for which trace the root cause is futile. Basically, here's the last out in the programming code - some event occurred for which there is no event handler in the code.   The toughest possible causes are a bad application behave. To find it, there are two options. Is to see if you can read the log file:

  That's an interesting statement... exactly how did you get that? As in, who did you call? RIM offers zero support to front line for BBs... only via the escalation of a carrier can you receive free support from RIM. You go through your carrier?

  I tried to install the software of Epocrates.com. Pharmaceutical database for physicians. I get to the point where the software tries to "AutoUpdate" to complete the installation and I get the above error message.   Thank you all for your suggestions. All your suggestions had been tried without success. However; When I added the Blackberry Email, for some reason, the problem itself. The program now works seamlessly.

  I have a few problems when installing the Desktop Manager v4.6 on Windows XP/SP3. I get the error message 1721 (pkg install incorrect) during installation even if the software finished installing. Later when I try to run Media Manager it crashes and almost crashes my computer. I downloaded a new version of the RIM website, UN-installed and made sure that the files have been removed and restarted the computer, but the same error.

  Does anyone have feedback on how to solve this problem.

• BlackBerry smartphones Please HELP - error message, re ringtone format "not supported".

  Although I could open, download and use the ringtones recently, now when I try to open ringtones I get this error message in the press folder: "media being played is a format not supported."  and will not play.  I got no call to check if my phone will ring or not, but I guess that since it won't read in the media, I am unable to pull the top of the ringtone... period.

  I received the same error message.  It's because I had created a new Outlook.pst file to my system of MS Outlook and deleted the old.  The fix was to go to the Blackberry Desktop Software, go in the Organizer, click Reset, and then click on settings.  Check the appropriate boxes, and then do a synchronization.  This process rewrites the data Outlook on the Blackberry

  Given your situation, I recommend first this method... from a PC, you can install any bundle of BONES to a BB via this procedure:

  Note that although written for "reload", it can be used to upgrade, downgrade, or recharge - it depends on the OS package you download and install on your PC. You can even use a different OS package carriers simply insert, between steps 1 and 2, the deletion, on your PC, a file named PROVIDER. XML. remember that you remove from your PC, no matter what other packages devices OS BB as having more than one installed on the PC can cause conflicts with this procedure.

  If you are on a MAC, you are limited to only your sanctioned carriers OS packages... but can still use any level they currently have to sanction. See this procedure:
