Smartphones blackBerry in the e-mail reply address

Hello

I have several email accounts and redirect all the oif to Gmail in order to cut out Spam (which Gmail does very well). However, when I as a message to my BB 8300 and I answered her, the answer still recive goes back to the sender of my Gmail account - that is to say I don't get a choice of which account to reply. However, if I write a new message it allows me to drop a list specify the email account of. Is it possible to make the field visible so that I can make this choice (which I can in Outlook on my PC)

Thanks in advance

Hugh

  • By default the setting classic blackBerry for the e-mail reply text color

    Hello

Can someone tell me how to change the default color for the answers to my signature and email of the BLUE to BLACK?

Currently, I don't see the option "format" each individual email response.  I don't know why the default color for the text and the signature is BLUE, but I would really change in BLACK.  Any help would be appreciated.

    Thank you

    interloper1969

Don't know how I forgot this before, but what follows is the expected result

Compose a new text of the e-mail, black
Reply or forward the e-mail text, blue

It is not editable, so I'll share your thoughts internally for further consideration

    Thank you!

Hello and welcome to the community!

With a strong carrier network (for example, not only WiFi), I suggest the following steps, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2, each should result in a message from your BB... Please wait just before moving on to the next step):

    1) register HRT

    • KB00510 How to register a BlackBerry smartphone with wireless network
    • Please wait a 'registration' message reach your Messages application

    2) books of forwarding Service

    • KB02830 Send the directories for the BlackBerry Internet Service
    • Please wait "the Activation' Messages, one per already configured e-mail account, arrive in your Messages. If you have not already configured email accounts, please wait 1 hour.

    3) restart

    • With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes.
    • See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

I hope that will move things again for you! If this isn't the case, then you should contact your mobile provider for formal support.

    Good luck!

  • BlackBerry Smartphones temporarily suspends the e-mail...

I get a lot of spam. Normally, I check and remove using MailWasher Pro on my laptop. I use the 8330 in the car. Is it possible to suspend mail temporarily to the curve?

    What other clients exist?

I use Eudora on the laptop with Mailwasher Pro, which makes it very quick review messages.

Thanks for your help. This is a great resource for me, a newbie to BlackBerry! The new toy enjoying a lot, too.

You can log into your BIS account and chk on filters next to the email address and choose not to send to the device or on the device you can set OFF data connection

  • BlackBerry smartphones to access the e-mail torch settings

    Hello

I changed my email password on my gmail account using the web browser on my desktop. But I have difficulties to access the e-mail on my Torch settings so that I can type the new password. I go to 'Set up' and then have the choice of the "Internet mail account" or "business account". I click on the first and get a page entitled "existing users". Then I type my user name and password. I guess that this refers to my blackberry user name and password. But when I type the info and press "contuinue" I get a message saying "the user name is not valid. A user name must be at least 4 characters." My user name is my gmail address, which includes 16 letters before @gmail.com.

    What I am doing wrong?

    Thank you.

Very well. Problem solved. Apparently when I first set up my Blackberry with my service provider, I did a combo of name of user and password on the Web site. Of course, I forgot all that I ever needed it again--until even two days ago.

The trick is to contact your service provider and request the user name if you forgot. They can then send you a new password if you don't remember the original. With the correct username and the new password, you should be able to access e-mail settings, and then click the relevant e-mail account and change the password.

It worked for me in any case. Good luck for the rest of you.

  • Smartphones blackBerry BIS does not mail for the last 1 - 2w?

BlackBerry 9000, Rogers. Mail server is an IMAP server that I run, running cyrus IMAPd.

At least a good year, he pushed email instantly to my BB. My server supports IMAP IDLE, and the BIS connection seemed to take advantage of this. Deliver the e-mail was almost instantaneous, and I've always had the buzzing blackberry at least as fast as the e-mail appeared on my desktop computer.

In the past 1 - 2w, it was push e-mail, he acted in the famous mode 'to interrogate 15 minutes. " Of course, which is nothing near as desirable.

I didn't have any (known) server configuration changes, and my desktop e-mail clients seem to use IDLE happily as always. I checked with a manual session IDLE is still supported by my imap server.

Rogers/RIM change something? Any chance they intend to change it back soon?

On your BlackBerry device, go to:

    1. options > advanced > host Routing Table > Menu > register.

2 send your service from your carrier's BIS site books:
    Of your handheld: http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/KB15402

Go to the Personal Email Set Up icon and sign. Then under help!, select Service books and select send service books.

    Your desktop PC: http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/KB02830
North American carriers - scroll down to select your carrier
Carriers worldwide - find your operator from the list

    3. with the BlackBerry device powered time, remove battery for a few seconds and then reinsert the battery to restart. This restart, even if you have already done this, is often necessary to install the service books.

If it does not help after one day, remove and re-add your email to the BIS accounts.

  • Problems of Smartphones blackBerry with the receipt of emails

I just got this phone for Christmas and set up two accounts of e-mail on my phone.  So far, I received my emails very well on my phone and they always charge just notified me, etc.  Yesterday, I received an e-mail in two inboxes (on my phone) basically saying thank you to set up your e-mail accounts... you will begin to receive messages in 20 minutes (the same e-mail I had when I first set up the e-mail on my phone accounts).  Since then, I've not been doing e-mail on my phone even if when I check my e-mail on my computer, there are new messages.  I tried to remove the two accounts and setting them up again, but this does not solve the problem.  Any reason why it does this and I have to do?

Hi and welcome to the Forums!

I suggest the following, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2, each should result in a message to your BB to come):

    (1) registry HRT

    • Homescreen > Options > Advanced Options > host Routing Table > (it matter little what line is current) > sign up now

    (2) Service reference books

    • KB02830 Send the directories for the BlackBerry Internet Service

    (3) restart to take batt

  • Call blackBerry Smartphones appears on the mye-mail

I accidentally hid my call log and when I finally had returned it (and don't ask me how) I shows that the calls that I make no calls or missed calls, they appear in my e-mail address... I tried everything I found in the book to do and nothing has fixed this.  I never know if I missed a call, unless I check my e-mail.

Hello and welcome to the Forums of Support BlackBerry.com.

Press the green phone dialing to enter in your call log > Menu key > Options > Call Logging and set your option here that you want to see in your message list.

If you don't want calls in your Messages folder, disable "Missed calls"

  • Rules of Smartphones blackBerry in an e-mail message does not appear in the blackberry

We run Lotus Notes Domino servers so here's the test I did

-J' created a rule in Lotus Notes to forward any received email that my name is in the field 'CC '. E-mails are moved to a folder that I named 'copy CC.  It works very well

-On the blackberry, after receipt of the Lotus Notes e-mail and after a replication does, I do a "reconcile now" on the blackberry and go to the option 'File show' in 'Messages', I go to my folder "copy CC" and I have no emails.

What could cause that I don't see in the folder or in messages.  Don't forget that in the 'Messages', the view is identical to that of 'View' 'All Documents' in Lotus Notes.

    Thanks for your help

  • BlackBerry smartphones set up the e-mail on my 9320

    Hello

Please bear with me, I need help to set up the service message on my phone, I get the message that there is no message services configured then I am redirected to establishing assistant who shows a PIN and no active account, then ask my email and password activication, where can I find it? I use Vodafone with EA Mobile 4 G Wifi,

Hello and welcome to the community

You must enter any of the configuration section 'Enterprise '. Rather use the BB exclusive services (including the ability to Push email, BBM, etc), you must have an adequate data of your carrier plan. Carriers BIS (BlackBerry Internet Service) host for their BB users. In general, BIS is not available through generic data plans. Several ships make stop what is needed the Blackberry data plan. Whatever they call it, it is the carrier that delivers BIS users of BB - contact - the for assistance. Once you have an email Push-enabled compatible BIS data plan on your BB (fees regardless of your carrier will charge, btw), your exclusive services BB will work (for example, you will have a staff/Internet Email added to the email Setup Wizard, your BBM will work, etc.).

With hundreds of carriers in the world, each with dozens of different data plans it is impossible to say that any plan service could actually expressly provide for. Only carriers can answer this question. The best thing to do is to decide what services you want and then talk to your carrier about obtaining a data plan that allows what you want (to them).

    Good luck!

  • Question of Smartphones blackBerry with the address book

I upgraded my version of software from 8320's to v4.5.0.81 recently. When I open my address book, there is a wide space between the contact list. This is eqivalent to double-spaced typing in Microsoft Word. I am able to see only 6 names to atime on the screen. Any suggestions to fix this? Thank you.

There is unfortunately no way to disable the new look of the address book. This is the way that all the books addresses with OS 4.5 and higher. You would have to downgrade the OS less than 4.5 to go back to the old look.

  • Economy of Smartphones blackBerry & storage an e-mail and SMS address

Is it possible to save an email and/or SMS of the "sender" address and store it in my contacts.

If so, what is the process?

Also, you can change the default hightlight BLUE color that moves on the homescreen?

    Thanks in advance,

    Joey

    1. Yes. If it comes from a sender that is not already stored in your address book, place your cursor on the email address at the top of the screen, to the sender. Tap Menu > save to Contacts. Ditto for SMS.

    2 No.
