Smartphones blackBerry with BB Desktop Manager Bluetooth connection

My 8830 was not able to sync with my office work or my laptop [Fujitsu T4220, under Win XP SP3].  I tried to connect to the laptop via Bluetooth (which I paired with my 8830) using 'Connections' on the BB Desktop Manager most recently updated.  Bluetooth will not mention.  I called Verizon (my cell phone carrier).  Three hours later, the support person 'tech', I said, was the BlackBerry expert, actually knew little of things and managed to remove BLuetooth driver for my lap top all together, saying the Fujitsu Bluetooth driver is bad, and now I have no connection with Desktop Manager and no. available Bluetooth on my laptop.  His last attempt was to call technical support of Fujitsu, while I stayed on the phone, as soon as the person of Fujitsu tech, said Bluetooth driver should not have been removed, my phone has been cut; a minute later, I got the message from local telephone service that my line was awarded.  Help, please.  (1) how can I reinstall the Bluetooth on my laptop?  (2) how Desktop Manager to 'see' my BB 8830?

Thank you very much for your help.

  • Smartphones blackBerry with Blackberry ID problems

I deleted my Blackberry ID by clicking on the link provided in the confirmation email that I received when I first created it. Now when I want to check my account or put in another SIM, he still asks me to connect, but I don't know my password longer (am now at 6 out of 10 attempts). At the same time, when I click on the option 'forgot password' it tells me to make sure that my BlackBerry ID enabled one I typed the right e-mail address? !!!

How I can ged rid of it all? I don't need a Blackberry ID and want to just my phone as it was before I created this account in the first place. Help, please

Yes, a wipe will delete all user data and perhaps all the 3rd party apps... see these for reference:

    • KB26694 How to change the ID BlackBerry PlayBook, BlackBerry tablet or a smartphone BlackBerry with BlackBerry 7
    • KB16307 Actions performed by the BlackBerry smartphone during the removal of the user stored and application data

If you use your BB (I'm not on this point), you can make a backup of your data first with Desktop software and then restore after completing the BB ID wipe and other things..., it would be better to wait the restoration before know of things work well, just in case where:

You should also probably do a selective restore rather than a wholesale restoration... just to be sure restore you only the data items that are important (e.g., contacts, calendar, etc.) and not on the databases that could be problematic if restored:

    • KB03974 List of database for the blackBerry smartphone

In addition, it would be a good idea to use a desktop app Organizer for your data, rather than having your BB as the "main source". With a compatible organiser, you can synchronize between your PC and your BB all these data, which then allows you to forward to your full size PC monitor/keyboard/mouse to actually work with the data:

    • KB12268 BlackBerry Desktop Software for Windows supported for synchronization applications
    • KB03315 How to synchronize Organizer data (calendar, to-do list, memo list and list of contacts) using the BlackBerry Desktop Software
    • KB19148 How to synchronize Organizer data in Microsoft Office for Mac between the phone smart BlackBerry and your Mac using BlackBerry Desktop Software

I know I'm throwing a lot to you, but, well... I want to make sure that you are getting the most out of your BB you can, as well as the protection of your data at the same time. Oh Yes... which reminds me... don't forget to activate the app BB Protect free once you have everything... He's going to save your data in the cloud as an extra measure of data protection. It will also help in the case of loss or theft.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones BlackBerry Bold 990 is no longer connects to the desktop via Bluetooth (Version 7.1 Bundle 1646) software

I've always been able to sync my Bold 9900 using the desktop via a Bluetooth connection software.

Yesterday I updated to 7.1 Bundle 1646 and Desktop software is no longer recognizes the Bluetooth connection

My "BOLD" can still associate it with my computer (i.e... I can play my music from my Bold 9900 via my computer) and my computer and the Bold 9900 have indicated that they are paired/connected.  However, the desktop software does not have a Bluetooth with my Bold 9900.

I tried to manually add the device to the desktop through 'tools' software > 'Add Bluetooth device' but my Bold 9900 is not displayed even by selecting 'Add '.

Now, I have to synchronize by using the USB connection.  I would go back to the use of the Bluetooth connection.

I bought this phone as a gift (it has been used only for 3 days so it shouldn't me hardware failures) and am always adapt to it.

The OS is v4.1.0.351, and I expect to give it a bit more use by updating the operating system. Unfortunately, whenever I try to update using a downloaded package and the Desktop Manager (or the line "update" that crosses the D.M., he tells me that my OS is most recent possible. I tried to update a number of times but without success. D.M. is not necessary for updates and does not give me an opportunity to use a downloaded package.

My carrier is T-Mobile, but I am paid in advance (with a BlackBerry, I'm the 8th grader more cool on the block... too bad I'm 22) and the phone is unlocked to all carriers.

    Thank you very much!

Hi and welcome to the Forums!

You use this page to get the updated package?

And also according to their complete instructions? If the lot you DL/install on your PC is identical to what is already installed on the BB, which would explain the results you get.

I suspect that you do not use the package totally correctly is enhanced by the present:

DTM does not such an offer... what you do is to install the package on your PC at the top of the DTM. Then, when you launch DTM, he will offer the update for your OS, but it does not technically she receives DL packaging or not I think. Can be semantic... but just to be clear.

    Finally:

Your specific model of BB is still supported by TM? If not, then they won't be offers a package to update (and all you DL would be on their part is not valid in any case - the package must match exactly to your BB model number... no deviation at all). What you have to do is to pick up the package you want from another carrier and then use these instructions to install:

  • BlackBerry Smartphones all versions of Desktop Manager work with the storm

I'm hoping to pick up a storm when the actions are available, but the work computer that I need to use the redirector and Desktop manager to work cannot access the internet because of security restrictions, so I can't use the latest version of DM to work because he has internet acess to check. The storm will work with earlier versions (I'm under 4.3 on it now with my 8830). Unfortunately, this simple question will be the brand or the break for me to be able to move the storm... someone knows?

Well, I have my Storm and older versions of DM do not work. You will need the most recent version.

  • Problems with BB Desktop Manager blackBerry Smartphone password

I installed the BB Desktop Manager on my PC.   He went through the whole installation process all right, but when the program started running, he began to ask me my device password.  For some reason any DM refused to recognize the password. I ended up having to unplug the USB cable after the ninth attempt, trying to prevent wiping my device.  My camera seemed good then, but when I went back to it a few minutes later, he asked me the password again and wouldn't recognize it.  Now I need to

Re-enter all my data, applications, etc.  Before that I still risk opening BBDM, can someone explain this? I don't think that I might have misspelled the password TEN TIMES... * sigh *.

Sorry... I must be dense... I can not get the correct sequence of events in my head...

    Magneto wrote:

I had attached only once.  As I said, I have disconnected after the ninth attempt via the pc.  The meter of the device had apparently not yet back on even if it had been unplugged for a few minutes.

The number of times that you attached is irrelevant - it's the number of sequential time, you enter a wrong password, regardless of where you make the attempt. And also no matter how long you wait (disconnected or not) between retries. For example, a failed attempt followed by another unsuccessful attempt therefore still later an hour in 2 sequential unsuccessful attempts. And that is true even if the first is via the PC and the second is on the BB itself - it's still 2 sequential unsuccessful attempts.

    So, let me see...

    (1) you attached and I tried (without success) 9 times on your PC to enter the password.

    (2) you can untethered and then... what? A failed attempt on the BB, resulting in the 10th? This is what it sounds like. If so, then WAD - working as designed.

What to do... even once, before re - enter all your data, re - assign a password. Make sure you know the exact characters which it is composed (not necessarily what are the keys that you think that you are pressing on, but the result in the field password on the screen). Then lock your BB. Then unlock. Then lock. Then attach and try the password on the PC. If you can enter with success on the PC, then you're good to go.

Yes, my BB was a feature of the different keyboard - but it doesn't matter. What is important is what displays in the field of password on the BB when you enter the password. How to get to these characters on the BB (alt, sym, num, etc.) should not be relevant or... a 2 a 2. You should be able to fail 5 times and then it will start to show you the password in clear text (without *). Yet once, make sure that you can work properly before re - enter all of your data. Then, make sure you take a good backup on a regular basis.

    Good luck!

  • BlackBerry smartphones a FIX! -Desktop Manager 7.0

HELO all - after 2 days was also frustrated that hundeds of you were, I have my running Desktop Manager 7.0 (version 44). Thanks to a certain number of you who gave me clues. I tried to roll back to a restore point in order to obtain the return - 6.1 which failed miserably and I couldn't even get it to load - this is what steps I used to get a solution I tested:

    BTW - I use Win 7 (64-bit) and Office/Outlook 2010 (32-bit), synchronization with a Bb Tour using OS 5.x

    1. using the Control Panel, uninstall all Bb DM you have (versions 6 or 7). Reset.

    2. using the Control Panel, uninstall the MS .net components. (I got 4.0 and need to uninstall the component extended before you uninstall the .net Framework.) Also, I chose to "Restart later" After uninstallation of first and only restarted after uninstalling second. Reset.

    3. you must have Visual C++ 2008 SP1 installed. Look under control Panel\Programs to see if you have it. If this is not the case, do a Google search and you will get the download link easily. Reboot after installation (if you do not already have Visual C++ 2008 SP1).

    4. go to Blackberry.com and download the latest 7.0 (build 44) and follow the instructions for installation.

    5. once loading Desktop Manager, accept the values by default - but do * not * check the organizer for synchroization files.

    6. connect your Blackberry via USB cable. A backup will take place.

    7. when the backup is complete, go to the organizer and configure each of the four areas that you want to use. Be sure to select a one-way since the device and check the box to write about the device files.

    8. once the settings are finished, synchronize all. (I + 2 000 entries, and it took about 15 minutes.) The overview of the synchronization will take a few minutes too, but be patient!

    9. when the synchronization is complete, disconnect the phone and check your calendar, contacts, etc.. It must be up to date.

    10. make a change in the schedule. Reconnect the phone. Change the settings of the Organizer to perform two-way synchronization. Synchronize all the. It will take a few minutes, but not that first sync - always be patient!

    11. when the synchronization is complete, check the calendar change - it should be there.

I hope this helps you and a lot of people because it has really been a hell two days! Best - Chuck

    Chuck Gidday

    Play well.

IIRC, when I installed everything first DM (v6.x), I had to uninstall all versions of the .NET framework. Then, DM has installed its own version of one of them. Since then, various other programs have reinstalled parts of the .NET framework "package" without interfering with the DM.

If it is only the 'BB software development team' and I'm using the VERY loose term, in fact, have stumbled on this obstacle, once again... .

Thanks for all the effort you put into documenting your way to victory!

However, I think I'll waqit until the BB actually recover and difficulty THEIR s/w CORRECTLY...

BTW, where all the BB customer support people answer these white-hot forum discussions?

Hi, I have a 8700 c runs the last device from AT & T (4.5.110) software.  I recently installed Windows 7 Build 7000, and I can't connect with my BB via USB.  Office Manager starts and begins to communicate via USB, then crashes.  If I disconnect and reconnect the USB, the program quickly continues, but I am unable to sync or to downgrade the software for the device.

then I restarted and opened the world of Blackberry. It opens and invites me to update the Blackberry ID. Once again, successful update.

everything ok, but when I put all my phone (new applications, contacts/photos/music of the old...) I plug the 9320 for the Blackberry Desktop Manager for a backup and uninstall applications.

Blackberry Desktop Manager show upward with a pending (see the screenshot) operation: reinstall some 'old version' of "necessary software." the issue is that is NOT possible to turn off this operation.
