  • Link to Blackberry blackBerry Z10 causing problems for my Z10

I swiped my phone security three times in the last 2 days to resolve a problem with texting. I've updated my software via wifi and not link to Blackberry. He has worked to solve the problem, but then the first two times the problem reappeared after restoring a backup. The last time that I restored it manually all I could but lost password and apps which I am fine with. I hesitate to use Blackberry link again as the last update I did the link seems to trigger this problem? Does anyone have any suggestions? My Blackberry has never really been what I would call stable.

All thoughts of my link problem.

I recommend that the updates made on the wifi. Don't do not updated the link unless there was a problem with udpate wifi.

Your carrier will send specific carriers updates which can solve problems like this after an update.

  • Configuration of blackBerry Smartphones, BB App World icon icon does not

Hello! I have BB Torch 9810 and I recently experience given my previous BB Curve 9300... Although all e-mails, contacts restered 100%, I started having problems with the 9810 BB... World Apps BB icon didn't exist in the office while I installed and reinstalled several times, (b) applications twitter and FB Apps don't seem to, (c) configuration icon when I click it it invites a mistake on BB toolkit and doesnot open... I did the installation of soft and hard, but problems exist... Besides, I realized that my mails where not downloaded, and I restored them once again I synchronize the server... Is it possible to fix it? I can do a complete new installation of OS 7.1, and this will solve my problems? Thank you in advance...

Hello and welcome to the community!

Given everything you describe, I agree that a reload of the OS would be your best bet to try to resolve this situation. The easiest way is, on a PC (you can not do on MAC):

    (1) make sure that you have a current backup and your BB complete... you can find the instructions at the link in my auto-sig below.

    2) uninstall all the BB OS packages from your PC,

    (3) make sure you have the BB Desktop Software already installed

    (4) download and install on your computer, the BB OS package you want:

    • If all you want are the levels of BONE, it is first sorted by carrier - the carrier supports, your search will be fast. However, some carriers are much slower than others to release updates. To really get the package up-to-date OS for your BB, you need to dig through and find all businesses that support your specific model BB and then compare the BONE levels they support.

    5) remove all copies of the SELLER on your PC. XML... There will be at least one and maybe 2, and they will be located in the same way or to (it changes based on your version of Windows) these files:

    • C:\Program Files (x 86) \Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader
    • C:\Users\(your Windows username) \AppData\Roaming\Research In Motion\BlackBerry\Loader XML

6 (a) to change your level of BB OS installed (at level or lower), you can run the Desktop software and connect your BB... the software should offer the operating system package you have installed on your PC.

6 (b) or, for recharging your BB OS level installed as well to change, work around the Desktop software and use the CHARGER. EXE directly, through step 2 in this process:

If, during the process of 6a or 6 b, your BB has an error '507', simply unplug the USB of the BB cord and reinsert it. do nothing else... This should allow the installation to continue.

If you are on a MAC, you are limited to only your sanctioned carriers OS packages... but can still use any level they currently have to sanction. See this procedure:

  • BlackBerry smartphones disappear when the icons/folders/data of low power - how to recover?

I bought a "BOLD" 6 days - my first smartphone - there to replace a 4 year old Nokia.

The installer went well and I associated with several e-mail accounts in the phone.  All the seemend very well until this afternoon when the battery power has fallen sharply, low power icon came and then the screen went white and locked upward.  The phone was on but just sitting on my desk, when he does this.  The phone wouldn't stop or anything once the screen went white.  I plugged in the charger and it is now loaded.

However, many of the icons on the home page and expanded home page disappeared - messages, all messaging files, browser, call log, etc.  I can't find them anywhere.  In addition, all the e-mail settings for the 4 accounts that have been implemented have disappeared as are all of the messages that had been saved.

Backups of the messages so I am not concerned to retrieve their content in the phone itself.  However, how can I get the icons back so that I can access the features of the phone?  This is a common occurrence when the battery is low?  Everything seems to happen 40% white screen in 3 hours during which the phone was not on active service in terms of excessive electricity consumption.

I can't find anything to help in the guide of the user or the site.  Thanks for your comments.

  • BlackBerry 8820 Blackberry Smartphones is missing its icon "e-mail setup".

My wife is this BB online, unlocked.   We live in an area that is a little behind the curve and our data GSM service is almost useless.  8820 was chosen because of the wifi which can connect to most of the places she goes.

I had a few problems of implementation.  The phone ' 100% brand-new "which has been listed as if by magic on ebay got some inside information.  The seller swears that it was due to a careless technician during the unlocking process.  I don't know if the problems I have now are remnants of the unlocking process.

That being said, here is my question.  I'm new to the BB so patient with me.  We do NOT use data of moble data GSM from our supplier.  As far as our carrier is concerned, it is a phone.  We use wifi to browse in the House and we would read our email POP of our Web site.  I have configured outlook for these e-mail accounts.  We are NOT a large company and do NOT have that one full IT Department to keep this thing running.

I have no icon for 'email facility.  I have read many posts on the issue and have had little result.  I checked in options-> advanced-> applications.   It shows 'installation application 4.5.0 email' but I have no way to setup e-mail account a simple POP.

The basic software and Blackberry system is 4.5.0

    Where is my icon!

I'm saying this is a simple request, lets get this work so that we can for the really difficult things.

    Thanks for your time

Hi and welcome to the Forums!

The icon, what you are talking about is the interface for device for BIS. BIS is BlackBerry Internet Service, a service offered by your operator, to build a bridge between your BB and e-mail systems connected to the internet. BIS is a service provider that comes with the data of your carrier plan. Your carrier think your device is just a phone, they are not then providing data on your phone, which means that the icon is not there since it is linked to your provider data services.

Which, therefore, it must be, isn't the e-mail provided by BIS services. You need something else... a 3rd party email, compatible with your BB app, which will allow you to email (via their interface - without going through BB messaging interface) on your WiFi only and never on the cover of your company's data. Frankly, I don't know quite how to do this, especially for your email private pop There are probably some solutions out there - you should dig for those rather than a method of configuring e-mail on BIS.

GMail offers an add-on app, compatible with a lot of BB, which manages the GMail e-mail. I don't know if it works on WiFi only, but you who could give a thought. You would have to do something to get your e-mail to GMail, but at least you will be able to validate if an app of the add-on can exist without a data network of carriers being required. If you want to try, just use your BB browser to go to the GMail login page and there will be a link that says something like 'More quickly get the GMail'... click on that and it will install the add-on to GMail for your BB. Make sure that you already have a GMail account set up to configure it in the app and run the test.

You can also try to configure your e-mail account webmail interface... then you might browse their via WiFi using the BB browser.

    Just some thoughts...

    Good luck!

  • BlackBerry Smartphones linking accounts

    Good day everyone!

I just got a Curve 8520 a few days ago and I have no complaints, the device is just great

Now, I have configured my email (hotmail account), but I only receive emails from the date of activation, meaning that I do not have access to one of my old messages or folders previously created in the email account - my ISP allows me instant messaging (msn, etc.) and access e-mail)-is there a way I can "sync" them? I don't even know if that's the appropriate term, but is anyone of you know what I mean? Something like download all I got in my email on blackberry or something like that...

My second question is on the accounts link. My hotmail account is my main, but I've linked it with yahoo (emails sent to yahoo get transferred to hotmail) account. I set up my email for both accounts, there are two folders of e-mail on my blackberry (one for each) and I was wondering if there is some way I can link to the top and make a folder only.

    Thanks in advance,

    libaque

Hi and welcome to the Forums!

First question - WAD - works as expected. Under BIS, you will only receive an email to your BB starting point of activation. Period.

Second question - the main icon to 'Messages' should display all the messages in all of your lines of message (all the email, IM, etc...) According to in some cases, how you have configured softs... but almost always all emails).

    Best!

How can find messenger blackberry Bold 9900, icon is instaled, but I can access, this happens after clear Save all information and recovery of.

    Any help is welcome.

    CPL. Mantarraya

Step 1 is to press the menu button on your phone on your home screen and select Show all or show all, according to what is available. If that solves your problem, you are welcome. If this isn't the case, read on.

Step 2 is to reload your OS. To do this, connect your phone to your PC and open BlackBerry Desktop Software. Once your phone has been adopted by the software, click on device at the top, then click on save and make a backup. Once the backup is complete, click once more on device but this time, click on restore and restore the backup that you made. This will restore your BBM your homescreen icon.

Let us know if that helps you.

  • Message of Smartphones from blackBerry icon - no message

    Hello

I have a new mesasge icon on my screen but there is no message. I checked all the files, I have marked all as read, I did a reset by removing the battery, I connected to Blackberry Desktop Manager and deleted all the messages and then put another and I still have the icon. It appeared after I had connected to Desktop Manager and accepts updates.

    Someone at - it ideas?

    Hello!

Did you go in the actual application of the Messages? Or just the icons for individual e-mail account? Messages collects messages from many lines, some of them are led not by e-mail and therefore the message appears in the Messages. Starting in the Messages, try the search function - there are options to set which make global across all lines and for unreads only... I hope that it will find it.

Good luck and let us know!
