Smartphones on Vista blackBerry Media Manager

Hey everybody! I just got my BB 8830 a week ago and I now have problems with the on Vista Roxio Media Manager. With my Blackberry connected, the Media Manager has a problem and needs to close, while it opens fine when my Blackberry is not connected to my laptop. Any ideas on what is the cause and how to fix?

Thanks in advance.

RL

first thing to check is if you have the latest version (4.7)

Then, uninstall and reinstall the latest version (even if you have the latest version)

Check if you ahev any roxio, Creator software on your PC... it will cause conflicts with the blackberry version. If you do, uninstall that as well before you reinstall the DTM

  • BlackBerry smartphones copying files using Media Manager is very slow

    Hello

I have four zip files, totaling about 2 MB, I downloaded on my memory card and wanted to transfer to my laptop.

Because I enabled encryption and the .rem files, I use Media Manager.

The files take more than 20 minutes to cross. When I used with Windows Explorer before mass storage mode, move only a few hundred MB file took seconds, so I don't think it's a hardware problem.

He also copied all the files twice, adding '00000' before the extension, for example, filename.zip.rem became filename.zip and name of file 00000.zip. Both can be open on the laptop as usual.

Does anyone have an idea, what could be the cause?

    Thank you

    Paul

Unless you have national secrets on your Blackberry I would disable content protection.

It slows down the Blackberry to a crawl.

Hello 2 months ago, I got a Blackberry storm. Its a good phone, but I have a problem that would do much better. Can't find directly on the BB or through the Windows drive letter?

Nothing happens... what means? If you, as you said earlier, dragged thing here, it is something, isn't it?

Oh dear oh dear... it's never a good idea to try to do several things at the same time. Now we will never know who is truly causal... Here's what I propose...

    1. Untether
    2. With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes.
    3. See if you can see all that through the device file Explorer
    4. Restart the PC
    5. Re-same and see if the discs are all properly visible through Windows

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Blackberry Desktop Manager shows no Media Manager

First of all, let me say I am a NEW Blackberry user, my husband and I both has recently obtained new Blackberry 8310 curves.

When I installed the disc that came with the phone, the Blackberry Desktop Manager doesn't have the "Media Manager" as one of the choices, as demonstrated on all brochures and tutorials. I even re-installed the program, thinking perhaps it didn't download completely the first time, but he always comes by showing only these 4:

Synchronization, backup & restore, Application Loader and switch device Wizard...

All the indications I have received show that I can easily add pictures and music by simply clicking on Media Manager, but he's not just here.

Here is the info on the installation disc that we received with our phones, supposed to be the good news and the latest versions...

    BlackBerry Desktop Manager

    version 4.3.0.17 (Nov.12, 2007)

Device Communications Blackberry Device mgr... 4.3.0.7

    BBDevMgr... 4.0.0.1

    RIM USB driver... 4.0.0.2

    RIM USB Serial Driver... 2.1.0.4

    Application application Loader loader... 4.3.0.13

    RIMProgram... 1.0.0.35

Seriously, none of them really means a lot to me, I just click on something and make it work...  I tried to 'upgrade' to a newer version, and I got the message that the version I had was the most recent, so now what?

I have cards memory inserted in the phone(s).

I would appreciate any help with this, I am really frustrated. I figured out how to move the files manually, but I don't understand why it is not appear as shown in the manuals of instructions and tutorials online.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones where can I find the Media Manager for my office?

OK I just looked at my records that I received with my BB Storm the other day.  It's the 9530.  There is only the VCast & BB media sync, but the button for Media Manager does not work... I watched the disc and there no Media Manager... now what?  I am running Windows Vista Premium Home OS, and I have the Desktop Manager 4.7 version.  Where the hell is the Media Manager and since I can't find it, y at - it a downloadable version of it somewhere on the net?  Please HELP I am ready to pull my hair!

I had to talk to the reps to Blackberry and apparently some discs did NOT have the media for a reason Manager any.  The option was left aside.

After much frustration, I finally got my answer.

Format your card of media phones first, it on your phone.  Once done you will have a folder on your computer, when the phone is plugged into the computer, which said device BLACKBERRY and BLACKBERRY Media Card.  You can simply drag and drop into specified folders (for me it was the videos).

If you already have a converter media it is the perfect way to do it and the video should be MP4 (at least that's all so far, I have converted)

For the Media Manager, go here: http://na.blackberry.com/eng/services/desktop/ but make sure you that you have uninstalled the Manager of the desktop of your computer first, and then re - install using the download from the link above.  I did it and it works fine now.

FYI - the Roxio is slower than the second coming during the conversion.  First use the reformat your phone option, and then use roxio if you do not have a Media Converter.  There are other media there converters that are much faster.  I have one for my Zune that allows to convert a movie in about 20 minutes or more and then it's in the right format for the phone.

    Good luck.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Blackberry Media sync hangs after update in Windows Vista

Hi, I installed Desktop Manager v4.6. in Windows Vista Business edition. When I try to use the Media Manager, he told me that the Blackberry Media Sync is not installed and he asks me if I want to install it. After it downloads and tries to install the synchronization of media, it crashes, it says 'Blackberry Desktop manager has stopped working' and you can only close the program or check online for solutions (which they don't give you any). Any ideas why this happens?

Personally, I don't use the Media Manager. Do not like.

You can enable storage of mass on your Media card and drag and drop files to and from the card support fairly easily.

  • Smartphones blackBerry opening Roxio Media Manager problem

I can't open Roxio Media Manager.   It seems to open and then it stops and I get the message that never ceased to MediaManager9 Module.  Windows (Vista) is looking for a solution.   Then I have to close the program.    Has anyone seen this problem before?   What is the solution?

    Help, please.

I use no Roxio Media Manager to transfer files from computer to BlackBerry and vice versa.

You can configure your BlackBerry and your computer to interact without using Roxio Media Manager.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Blackberry Media Sync & Vista Ultimate

I try to use Blackberry Media Sync with Vista Ultimate and iTunes 8.0.1.11. Media Sync selection generates the prompt, 'the Blackberry Media Sync application is not currently installed. You want to download and install this application? ». The installation starts and then crashes.

Unfortunately, RIM has decided to use an Adaptec, Roxio software product. I found Adaptec to Roxio and serious quality problems to be less than stellar. This is supposed to work or as most of the software, the products are we beta testers so developers can find a way to code this without crashing?

It is a separate download from your Desktop Manager.

  • Icon blackBerry Smartphones Media manager Office Manager is missing?

I just installed an SD card and load music.  There is no icon Media Manager click on my current (4.2.214) Office Manager version.  Suggestions for remedy.

    Hi cgreen60

Try to uninstall the software and put it back.  Make sure that you download a version with the Media Manager.

You can find the BlackBerry Downloads page here.

    * edit that you can also transfer files running on on the device mass storage mode, then go to my computer on your PC.  You'll see a BlackBerry drive, and you can drag and drop files into the appropriate folder there.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Media Manager View / transfer of images from the Blackberry

Recently, two Workstations have had their media manager stop working. When the blackberry is connected to the computer and looked in the Media Manager, images on the blackberry developed as gray with a tiny band of pixels in the image at the top. When the images are transferred to the PC they hold it. When images are sent from the blackberry to the PC images find very well.

    We have reinstalled nothing doesn't.

Workstations are 2 XP with all service packs except SP 3. Desktop BlackBerry 4.3

I installed 4.5 just above the previous version and seem to have the issue resovled. The interface is substantially different.
