  Thanks - I have discovered that while I had an internet connection (that I could see), Verizon was not recognize me.  Problem is that I had to reinstall the software from Verizon for the new modem, which they had not told me I had to do (and did not).  Finally stumbled on it and had it solved, but thanks to the entry.

  The computer is a HP Envy 17 laptop. Firefox does not appear on the list of the Manager of process tasks or applications. System Restore has not fixed the problem. Google Chrome works well. • iPad music Colocation - can't see any other shared libs on ipad

  I installed the roommate on my MBP and it seems that I have HS setup on my iPad BUT my iPad plays dumb-dumb and do not allow me to see the other libs, iTunes. There is no reason why this lark HS shouldn't work, I even disabled the firewall on my MBP but when same, dead as a dodo on the iPad.

• Firefox 8 on Windows 7 (64) Synaptics touchpad gesture with two fingers scrolling does not work. Works in any other program.

  UI.trackpoint_hack. Enabled = 1 does not help. All the Plugins and drivers (Synaptics) up to date. Samsung 900x3a. Slider modifies the icon when running two finger gesture but not scroll. No PDF not loaded. No other open tab. When you load in the tab PDF PDF scrolls with the gesture. Same problem in Thunderbird 8. Reason to use Chrome as standard browser.

  I agree, especially since you said that this does not work when connected directly to the modem. It is proof that the router is not involved.
