• Migration to ISE for servers 3395 Cisco Cisco SNS 3495 question

  Hi all. I have a client that runs on a Cisco 3395 ISE 1.2 Server and wants to migrate to Cisco SNS 3495 servers due to the end of life is imminent. My question is - this client should buy Cisco SNS 3495 server with a new software license, or may transfer or reuse the license of the software from their 3395 servers?

  What will be the best course of action for them. Thank you!!

  Ah, sorry, I was referring to the base, and, the apex (or Basic, advanced from previous levels of ISE) - which are licenses only you really need to worry.  If you look at the details to the CCW, you're talking about this topic is the only one where the cost is indicated for the 3495 (except SmartNet if you added).  This is not a point of STOCK you can add/remove.  Basically, you have what you need from a material point of view when you purchase the device.  Can you rehost license software (Basic, plus, apex) once you get the new devices up and running.

• Question about SnS

  Hi all

  Is it possible to restrict access to the NHS for only authenticated users?

  For, the default page is "Video", so anyone can watch videos.

  I'm in a similar situation.  What I do is break my LDAP user additions

  by subgroups in LDAP (via filters).  Once they are added and highlight everything

  users in that subgroup and move users for their specific groups. Then I repeat

  the process for each subgroup.  The initial additions may take a little extra

  work, but it allows you your final objectives.

• Port Forward question e4200

  I have an e4200 and love it.  Here's my question and I hope that the forum can help:

  Background: directly connected (LAN) is a ReadyNAS Pro 6 Server.  I have a share that is configured to be a very simple through the port80 Web server.  The router is configured to direct all port 80 traffic (for example, http) to the server.  Wireless connected via Port 81 is a dlink (DCS 932 L) camera.  The port 443 (https) is transmitted also to the NAS (admin functions).  To help debug the problem, I created a portforward (1357), also on the NAS for https.  Created static IP: 192.168.1.10 and 192.168.1.11 (for the camera).  I also have a name of domain created by TZO that is active.

  Other port forward: mydlink.com which is a dlink site that allows access to the camera dlink.  I also have a Plex Server (port 32400 I think) that works great.

  Questions: On my network local (inside my house), enter, either http://mydomainname.com or http://NAS IP address gets me to the Web server and the homepage.  With: 81 takes me to the camera; : 443 or: 1357 takes me to the functions of the administrator of the server.  Is... all the works I want it.

  Go outside the home: www.mydomainname.com takes me directly on port 81 and request the login/password for dlink camera (same for www.mydomainname.com:81 and www.mydomainname.com:80). https://www.mydomainname.com takes me to the connection of camera dlink, like https://www.mydomainname.com:443 

  https://www.mydomainname.com:1357 takes me on the server and the homepage and access for all functions.

  I suspect the problem with DLink and mydlink (uses UPNP).  Any help would be greatly appreciated!

  Thus, it seems that the camera works now. The Universal Plug and Play (UPnP) service in Microsoft Windows use discovery SSDP (Simple Protocol) Service to locate and connect to the services and network devices. There are security risks associated with these services, and on several occasions, these services were responsible for denial of widespread service of the host Windows campus. System and network security (SNS) recommend to disable UPnP/SSDP service on all Windows hosts and activation of the service only when necessary.

• MXE3500 and SnS, help me understand

  I am fairly new to the world of digital media of telepresence together and jumped in feet first. (in fact pushed)  I have a question on what exactly does our MXE3500?  I know this process and formats and stuff like that, but it seems to Miss sometimes when pulishing to show and share.

  Our current configuration goes like this.  Record endpoints to the Trade Commissioner, who sends to the MXE3500, and then sends it to the SnS.  We are not doing something fancy, yet.  What I tested is a TCS facility that sends directly to the SnS, which seems to work pretty well.  This opens my question: why do need us the MXE3500?  I'm sure that I have a lack of something obvious.

  The MXE is a transcoder and streaming box, it is in fact capable of taking these TCS recorded videos and encode them for use on other devices - as for example the iPhone or Android. TCS records only things directly to your SNS in certain set formats, while MXE can transcode and convert to many different codecs and resolutions etc. It also has the ability to do things like drive ins and watermarks on the videos and with the addition of pulse can also do speech to text recognition and speaker too. It also has another advantage to multicast, so if you have a bunch of players digital signage the MXE should be able to take the live recording of TCS and broadcast in all of your players edge 300 or DMP

  We can connect a SNS-3415-K9 (ISE) to VSS switches. We have a server (SNS-3415-K9) ise can be connected an interface (g1) to switch1 and an other interface (g2) at the switch2 for redundant and load balancing...

  Not in a link aggregation Group (LAG) or multichassi etherchannel as your question implies.

  You can use other ports Gigabit Ethernet beyond Gi0 but they each have a separate IP address. There are different ways you can use these and other restrictions as well (e.g. Admin PAN is restricted to the Gi0).

• SNS with high availability option

  I need help to understand the requirements of network and connectivity to deployment Cisco show and share with the high availability option where the DC and DR are different geographical locations.

  As I understand it, to achieve high availability, the DMM and the SNS servers require a L2 connectivity between the primary and the secondary server. How can this be achieved in a scenario where two data centers are connected by WAN / MAN links?

  I already asked this question to the TAC, and it is unfortunately clear today the HA mode with 2 servers connected mode "back to back" via Ethernet2, REQUIRES to be on the same network of L2.

  It is not yet based on the IP routing layer, and therefore it is did not in charge of the design when using remote data centers...

  :-(

  It's a shame, I know, and I pointed to the BU of the SnS.

  May be part of a next version of work will be based on network IP L3 routed...

• ISE 1.2 SNS - 3415 NIC bonding / grouping

  Hello

  I installed the SNS-3415 with ISE 1.2 and I try to configure the nic redundnacy (team) modes for requests for authentication and not for the purpose of management.

  Tests have shown that when an interface has been disconnected all was lost and nobody of our internal users was authenticated by the node of the ISE.

  However when I unplugged the "second interface" (possibly inactive) nothing has happened which shows which is a useless interface

  My goal is to connect it to my twins basic switches and have a deployment of high availability.

  -J' have enough search the Web but I have not found any clear and precisely the document to say how this could be done.

  THEMIS

  ISE 1.2 does not support grouping NETWORK adapters.  Especially on the devices.  There is a solution for the virtual machine using the ESXi host teaming network adapters so that it is transparent for the virtual machine.

• vCenter Licensing Question

  We are currently conducting environment vSphere with vCenter Server 5 5 (using the VCSA).  My vSphere, ESXi licensing have the right to upgrade to vSphere 6, but is not my vCenter license.  After further review, we have seen that the SnS support contact us on our vCenter license had expired in January 2015, so we went ahead and got that renewed back support.  My question is, now that we have renewed the support we may update this license vCenter vCenter license 5 6 or we will have to buy a new license of vCenter 6 new?  I checked my VMware Licensing Portal and this shows that we have supported on vCenter 2018 license, but I don't see any option upgrade to this topic.  Any input would be greatly appreciated.

  as far as I know all the licenses that are (or were taken over at the time a new version was released) by an active subscription can be upgraded. When you select "Update license keys" in the drop down menu "I want", you should be able to select and upgrade your vCenter Server license.

  I have a totally technically the question about the Site Recovery Manager. For purposes of budget planning, I need the price for the annual cost of the enterprise SRM SnS and the cost of the SnS of each protected Machine. Unfortunately I found the price list for

  SRM Enterprise (US$ 12375,-) and the cost of the license for each protected Maschine (US$ 495,-) but NOT the cost to the SnS, which is also required.

  Can someone help me?

  SnS tends to be 20% of the costs of purchase as a ball park figure, but call your local VMware sales or reseller representative will tell you exactly what is this annual cost.  they are given on a regular basis the list of prices with all the necessary references

• A few questions about Essentials Plus & opinion

  Hi all

  Been a lurker here for a while and learned a lot but now I have a few questions, if you don't mind.

  I have a client for which Essentials would be a great choice both in their material conditions and pricing, but they also want a little too VDI solution.

  So my first question is if we view can we use comes with more Essentials VCenter to manage? Or at least link them?

  And also, on the safeguarding of their infrastructure plan - is it possible to use Backup Exec 2010 with their (from Symantec) "Agent for VMware Virtual Infrastructure license? Or the absence of VCB in Essentials more do we need to go back to the backup of the OS invited by agent?

  It's pretty strange - I'm competent with VMware in all, but this is the first time that I had to consider using Essentials, so I'm really not updated on what it can/cannot do / limits.

  It is not possible to link the VCenter comes with Essentials more to one that comes with a view

  The problem is that vCenter essential is an edition of Foundation and cannot manage 3 guests.

  You can upgrade essential more to an acceleration of the advantage kit.

  Congratulations on your iPhone 7 more running iOS 10! I understand that some of your faces in the album of people pull up as a draft and you want to refresh. You can try to use the steps below to fix the faces on the thumbnails in albums.

  If you notice that there is a photo of someone in a collection that is poorly identified, you can remove it.

  1. Tap the person you want to remove in the album of people > select.
  2. Type Show done face to emphasize his face in every photo.
  3. Press on each photo that is not the person.
  4. Type > not this person.

  You can hide the people or groups that you don't want in your album of people.

  1. Open the album people and press Select.
  2. Touch the people you don't want to see.
  3. Click Hide.

  If you want to see the people that you have hidden, press on show hidden people.

• Question of cloning for SSD upgrade on 12 Macbook Pro

  Previously, I did an upgrade to SSD on my Macbook Air to 2012 according to the instructions of JetDrive transcend. Basically connection via USB 3 and using Mac OS X to clear (and format) disc utilities new SSD, then restore again SSD and then remove the original 128 GB SSD and insert the new 480 GB SSD.  For about a month and so far without problem.

  Now I'm trying to 2012 Macbook upgrade my Pro partner (on 10.11.6).  I got a Crucial SSD MX300 to replace his HARD drive.  Crucial comes with (or recommend) Acronis software.  And a lot of the messages of the forum recommend Carbon Copy Clone.

  My question is if I can use the same method for the cloning of the HD as my Macbook Air (just restore disk of Mac OS X utilities)?  This time, I'm upgrading HARD drive and I don't know if something is different.  At the same time, if I got lucky the first time, I don't not ruin Macbook Pro my spouse this time.
