Software HP C4380 fails to install on Win 7 64 bit

My printer HP C4380 scanner no longer works, so I added another printer with scanner to work on my wireless network, but then I couldn't have my C4380 HP to run even if it was by default, so I uninstalled the other printer because I prefer my HP.  After uninstalling the other printer, I couldn't run my HP at all.  I got the message that it was not connected.  I tried electrician.  No luck.  Then, I did scan and printing doctor who told me to uninstall and reinstall the software.  I uninstalled and then to reinstall my HP cd and received message it did not meet the requirements of the system (Win 7 64 bit).  I went online and tried to reinstall the software C4380.  The software seems to be installed, but my printer looks like a rectangular box "unspecified" in the peripheral topic instead of a printer under "printers."  So now I have no printer.  How can I fix this problem?  Thank you.

  • Bug finally found - software HP Photosmart C7280 full functionality and Win 7 64-bit drivers

After months of being unable to reinstall the software HP Photosmart full feature and drivers Win7 64 bit - (PS_AIO_02_Net_Full_Win_WW_130_140), I finally understood what was going on. Both computers had exactly the same problem. If all goes well, the HP software development team will review it and fix the bug in the downloaded software. The HP printer install wizard for Windows 7 (V2.1 - HPPIW) has the same question because it downloads the same file.

The first installation works; However, once uninstalled and try to re - install, it looks like "the system cannot find the file specified" in the following folder (the file name cannot be determined because the full path has been cut):

    C:\Users\[user]\AppData\Local\Temp\7zS1D16\Setup\... \Setup\blocksysuserinstal... etc.

Note that the temporary directory (in this case, "7zS1D16") was different on both computers.

Workaround on each computer was to reinstall it failure and register the name of record he was trying to find. Make an indication of the time that you tried reinstall as well.

Now, create a new folder with the name of the missing folder (in my case, 7zS1D16) in the folder location:

    C:\Users\[user]\AppData\Local\Temp\

Then, search for the Temp folder that it used for installation (use the timestamp you saved above to help).

    C:\Users\[user]\AppData\Local\Temp\[folder]

Copy all the files in this folder to the new folder that you created.

Rerun the Setup program and he will now find the missing file.

The problem is that, for some reason, the installer looks in the wrong temp folder after uninstalling and reinstalling the software.

I'm glad that my solution helped you two, it's the kind of thing HP must be set if they want to retain customers (I'm still not a software engineer). Given that I've had similar problems in the past two years with HP printersl, laptops and cell phones, they tried and abandoned (adding further insult to a decade more user Palm). I spent away from HP in all possible ways.

As far as printers go, I couldn't recommend Brother color laser printers more. the MFC-9970CDW is impressive and has an efficient software and infallible was a good deal at the site Web of Costco. The only drawback with it, it is big enough.

I also like the Epson Artisan 720 I picked up on clearance at Best Buy. Once more, it prints beautifully and the software simply works... something hydrogen peroxide used to do for years with printers (I had the C7280 to probably 7 or 8 years and thought it was a great printer for last so long, until the HP software has failed).

After trying probably 3 recent model HP different printers that have been nothing else into trouble, I'm done with the company.

Good luck to you all, but if you want less headache, I suggest you watch in brother or Epson.

  • Hotfix KB982018 installed on Win 7-64 bit

When I tried to install the KB982018 patch on my Win 7 64 bit computer, I'll be back (with 64 and 32-bit versions) "not applicable to this computer."

According to Microsoft - http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-US;982018 - this fix is supposed to solve the problem of Windows is not able to create a system image on a disc 3TO USB3.

Imaging system starts, but after a minute or two, I get this message: ' one of the backup files could not be created, (0x8078002A).»  "The request could not be performed because of an i/o device error. (0x8007045D)" these messages are mentioned in the article.

Microsoft is well aware of this problem.  (Article says that it has something to do with the larger capacity disk using 4092 sectors).

The WD 3 TB USB3 is new; driver updates have been installed.  That did not help.  I can copy files to the readers.

I would like to hear of anyone who has had the same experience with the fix, and if you have found a way to get installed it, or to get Windows to create a system image on a 3 TB drive.  Thank you.

Hi, I believe that the problem is with an advanced format drive - 3 TB, which has the largest areas, I can put a system image on a 2 TB drive.

In addition, there is the question of the MS "Patch" not to recognize my computer for installation.

    Hello

We are trying to do a fresh install of Oracle Hyperion EPM 11.1.2.3 on Windows 2008 Server R2.

  • After Effects CS4 install on Win XP 64 bit OS

I try to install the After Effects CS4 for a Win XP 64 bit OS trial version.  There was only a single downloadable trial available and figure that if there is 64-bit trial versions, it would be packed with this also.

Setup designates the place of installation as "C:/Program/Adobe" which is correct because it is the location of the 64-bit program folder.  However, he falls in fact demand in "C:/Program Files/Adobe (x 86)".  Also when After Effects CS4 is run, it appears as a 32 bit application in the Windows Task Manager process list (labeled as "AfterFX.exe * 32")

If possible, is it possible to get to After Effects CS4 correctly recognized as a 64 bit under XP64 application?  I know that this OS is not entirely supported by the system configuration required, but managed to install Photoshop CS4 as a 64-bit problem-free application.

Another thing that confuses me is also the After Effects CS4Readme/technical note:

    http://KB.Adobe.com/selfservice/viewContent.do?externalId=kb405854 http://KB.Adobe.com/selfservice/viewContent.do?externalId=kb405854#_Toc162848026

    By problems known...

"When installing on 64-bit Windows Vista, an incorrect default installation location is displayed. The application will be installed to the correct location: C:\Program Files (x 86). (#BG064131) »

This means After Effects CS4 is a single 32-bit application?

Yes. For now, the AE is still a 32-bit application.

Photoshop CS4 (Windows) is a 64-bit application, which is why it installed under 64-bit application path structure.

  • Failed to install graphics Win 8.1 on Dimension E520

    Hello

I just bought a 'new' E520 and tried to install Windows 8.1 with the x 1300, ATI video card (onboard).  However, immediately after the 'Windows of the Pavilion' bootscreen, my monitor stops showing a message "Input not supported".

I adjusted the appropriate video BIOS settings in all possible combinations, I even tried to swap hot video card!

I tried to install the ATI drivers whist using the integrated graphics card, but he got the message without surprise "no supported hardware detected.

I thought I might be able to use the Safe Mode, built-in option, to start with the parameters of low resolution and then install ATI, but got the same message "input not supported".

I restarted with all combinations of parameters in order to cold-swap (if there is even one thing) the ATI card.

    All to no avail...

So I'm stuck with integrated VGA, unless a genius (which is one of you) can provide a way to install the video card drivers before installing the video card.

    Thank you...

This card may be unsupported for Windows 8.1. You may consider replacing the card with something more modern.

    Hello Hugo

According to the specifications of the laptop your model T was delivered with preinstalled Win7 64 bit professional. Original recovery image contains a preinstalled software webcam and it is configured to start automatically, so I would like to know since when you noticed this problem.

I can't imagine that this problem persists since the first day. Am I right about that?

    Hello

I recently did a clean install on my Compaq Presario CQ5500F desktop, but when I finished, I realized that I could not connect to wireless internet almost anything. To clarify, my internet worked before the clean install. I know exactly of what readers have been installed, but I do not know the network controller has a yellow question mark on it now. (See attached image)

In addition, it seems that the computer does not have a wireless card although I was previously using an omnidirectional antenna external wireless connected to my wifi.

I have already visited the HP/Compaq site here http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareCategory?os=4063&lc=en&cc=us&dlc=en&sw_lang=&product=4209... to install the drivers, but it seems that the network controller, it does not install correctly.

Can someone help me please? I am very frustrated.

In fact, I just solved it!

I looked up the material ID I had just posted on Google and found that someone had the driver on his Skydrivefiles. Then I followed their instructions and went into the Device Manager and selected Update driver the driver of your properties of network adapters tab and pointed on the expanded files.

Turns out I need files for Ralink RT61 Turbo Wireless LAN Card.

    Everything works again!

Thanks for me direction in the right way, Paul!

I hope that someone else has acquired this too!
