  I have a Windows Vista PC, I don't remember the problems with regarding the purchased software installation.  The last two software products, TurboTax 2009 Deluxe and Photo Explosion Deluxe not installing not.
  I've actually worked with the assistance of TurboTax and was still unable to get the software installed.  Photo Explosion is just sitting there.  When I insert the CD, it does not automatically start, and I have to run it through Run or enter my computer and selecting the Setup program.  I tried to play with the functions of security, thinking they have stop installation but at this stage I am not clear on how best to proceed.
  Any directive or suggested efforts would be appreciated.

• With my new Canon's MG7120 software installation problem

  I recently updated my homeoffice with a new Dell XPS running Windows 8.1.

  Bought a new Canon Pixma MG7120 to replace my old Epson printer.

  I tried to install the printer software from the disc that came with the printer.

  Ive been trying to connect wirelessly and my wireless router connects with my printer.

  My problem is when I run the disc.  When I get to the part of the installation, nothing happens.  All I get is a window telling me that "my firewall may try to block the installation of Canon and I should respond accordingly as" Yes, accept,... and no matter what the choice, I give myself to allow Cannon installation.:

  There is a button 'Next' at the bottom right corner and it will highlight when I place my cursur on that.  I clicked and nothing happens.  The installation should take between 5-10 minutes.

  Appreciate any comment or idea about it.

  I'm so disappointed.  I bought a brand new Pixma MG7120 for my grass hobby photograhy.  Finally, my old Epson Stylus photo passed his end of life phase where it is no longer supported.

  I have a new PC with os Windows 8.1.

  I was so excited, winning this new printer.  I followed the instructions to the letter and bam, phase of the Installation stalls.  The screen is just sitting there doing nothing.  I tried again to recharge etc... with the same results.

  I'm not a computer programmer and am really frustrated and angry that I have to go through this bs... and still not get the printer running.

  I went in the Drivers Canon section and set to date.  Still nothing.  I tried downloading online and still nothing.  Always the same stall during the installation phase.  Just can't get past that.

  What is going on?  I spent $250.00 on printers and ink and even impossible to print a letter.

  I have tried wireless and usb and a big '' NOTHING. ''

  I ask the support over the weekend and if I'm still able to print, I'LL RETURN the UNIT AND FIND ANOTHER BRAND THAT WORKS.

• Smartphones blackBerry desktop software installation problems

  Hi all!

  Just got my first BB - the Curve 8330.

  I am trying to install the Desktop Manager software (version 4.5) from the CD included with the phone (Sprint).  I tried twice with no success and the same result - it hangs or freezes towards the end of the installation.  It is said it should "take several minutes", but an hour?  I didn't know that it would take too long.

  I would try to cancel the installation, but nothing would happen and I would end up having to force its closure with the Manager tasks.  The icons would display, but the program itself would not do much.  Due to the partial installation, I couldn't uninstall it or restart the installation.  You had to do system restore to get rid of it.

  I did it twice!  So now, I am currently downloading version 5.0 from this site (without Media Manager which seems to cause a problem) and see how it goes.

  Has anyone else has this problem?  Should I have waited longer?

  After much frustration, I tried one more thing.  After having been suspended for three hours, I restarted my computer (using the power button on the machine, because no matter what other way would not have worked).  I rebooted with the progress of installation still bar top and "running".

  Then I ran the software disc and tried to install again.  He acknowledged that I had partially installed the DM software and he gave me the ability to edit, repair and another thing (don't remember).  I chose to fix it.  This completed the installation process!

  When I made this installation, I did it without the Media Manager.  After the "repair", I could go back install Manager media without any problem.

  What a relief to be able to back up my BB!

• BlackBerry Smartphones Blackberry Desktop Software installation problem

  I had a problem with Roxio Media Manager constantly want to reinstall.  So I corrected this problem and and uninstalled the Blackberry software. Then I tried to re - install Blackberry Desktop software so that I can sync my contacts on my computer at home.  I tried this from a downloaded version 4.6 and with the version on my Blackberry CD.  Same problem with both.

  The installation starts and claims of language, then installation starts for a few seconds.  Then I get this message:

  Error opening installation log file.  Verify that the specified log file location exists and is writable.

  I can't get past this message.  He didn't tell where is the location of the log file.  Other installations of software, it's only the Blackberry software that will not be installed.  I tried to rename CProgram Files\Common InstallShield and make it read/write, but this install always fails with the same message.

  Any ideas to try?  Nowhere else can I ask for help?

  I unzipped the file, then I opened a cmd window and manually run msiexec with your Blackberry msi file.  I have added a flag/l to set the log file to a local file FichierJournal.txt and everything went well.

  Maybe you specify a problematic log file name, at least for my computer?

  Anyway, this new version of the Blackberry software works very well to keep my home contacts updated with my work contacts.  I'm glad that I was able to install without the Roxio media manager.  This program made me mad.

  Trying to install the complete software of the 7410 features, the software performs steps 1 and 2.   Third phase of installation, the update installation panel disappears and the Setup seems to stop.   The facility is for windows XP (32-bit)

  I've found a workaround.   I installed the software to a different officejet and installed without any problems.

  I had the software installed on my laptop which worked well, but I had to run my laptop recovery disk,
  I saved most of my stuff to a USB but when I try to install a special software I get message "this application is registered to John (me)", but when I click ok I get the message "the current key has been locked to another machine.

  Just started getting the following error when I start first in regard to Microsoft ISATAP adapter #28:

  Device driver software was not successfully installed

  Please consult the manufacturer of your device to help get this device installed.

  I'm totally familiar with this device and as a result, I'm not sure what relevance with regard to my OS.  What I need to download and install a special driver manually, or should I just ignore the error message above?  Care of my system:

  CPU:  Intel Core i7 - 4770 K CPU @ 3.50 GHz

  GPU:  EVGA GeForce GTX 770 (last WHQL Logo'd driver installed)

  RAM:  Corsair Vengeance DDR3 1866 MHz (running at 1600 MHz) DRAM Pro

  OS:  Windows 7 Professional 64-bit (6.1, Build 7601) Service Pack 1 (7601.win7sp1_ldr.160408 - 2045)

  This means that the Microsoft ISATAP device driver is an update which is specifically designed to connect to the network. This driver is not a requirement for your operating system. It's an extra update for a better network functionality. If your internet connection works fine, then you can ignore this driver. Otherwise, follow the solution below to solve this problem.

  Here are the steps you can try:

  1. follow the steps on this link to update the driver: update a hardware driver that is not working properly.

  2. run the troubleshooting of autopilot: hardware devices do not work or are not detected in Windows.

  3 try to uninstall and reinstall the driver.

  To uninstall:

  1. Click Startand then click Control Panel.
  2. Click hardware and sound.
  3. Click on Device Manager.
  4. Double-click the type of device you want to uninstall.

  A year ago, I bought 6 Creative Suite Production Premium (Studen and Teacher Edition) on Amazon (Germany). I never managed to install as I had some problems to check from my school. I have that now, but when installing it (I started by going to trial until I sent the proof) I received an error message indicating that my software does not seem to be Original. I had installed the trial once before, but not activated (different computer).

• Software installation problem of xbox 360 controller

  I can't install the driver for the xbox 360 wired controller. I had installed before, and I thought that I deleted it but now when I try to install the drivers, Windows tells me that it is already installed and I need to remove the drivers and reinstall them. But I can't do that because there is no file and nothing appears in Device Manager when I look. When I plug the controller it flashes for a second before going again. I don't know what to do, please help.

  I just bought a HP Envy 4500th printer all-in-one. I can't install the driver CD-ROM or by download. I get an error message that says: 'the EncodePrinter procedure entry point could not be located in the dynamic link library KERNEL 32.dll'.

  Is this something that can be corrected? Should what steps I use? Any help would be greatly appreciated

  What operating system you are using? What is Windows XP?

  Right click on desktop, and select Properties.

  What exactly is your version of operating system? What version of Service Pack is listed?

  Searching on the net, this is likely encounter on Windows XP Service Pack 2 or below, be aware that the printer requires SP3 and that could be the cause.

  Its because Windows RT doesn't have an x 86 or x 64 architecture and therefore cannot run .exe. Not a lot of development has stepped forward to applications of RT. Developments in the Intel processors will also probably be completely obsolete RT. This limitation makes Windows RT tablets just about as useful as Windows 8.1 phone.

  I have the problem with Toshiba Software Installer for Win 7 on Satellite L750-1MT (PSK30E-02T002B3) with no preinstalled operating system.
  I do the following:

  1. install Windows 7 x 64 SP1.
  2 Installing the LAN driver (device was not recognized by Windows 6) (downloaded from [http://se.computers.toshiba-europe.com/innovation/jsp/supportMyProduct.do?service=SE&LNG=26&userAction=S MP_RESULTS_PAGE & partNumber = PSK30E-02T002B3 & serialNumber = & USER_ACTION = Serial % 20number])
  3. install all updates of Microsoft Windows
  4. run the installer of the software Toshiba for Win 7 - it installs two drivers and then asks to restart.

  Here is the log for the first test (win7update.log) file:

  I see that you have a problem installing the software for your HP Deskjet 2540 on your Windows 8.1. I'm happy to help with this installation problem!

  To get help, I'll have to know the following:

  • If the printer is connected, wireless, or USB.
  • If the printer is able to make copies. Copy the text or mixed Documents.

  In the meantime, try the following:

  • Uninstall the software. Uninstalling the printer software. (In case it has been partially installed).
  • Clean boot the computer. How to perform a boot in Windows.
  • Re-install with the HP printer install wizard for Windows.
