  I know there is already a post on this topic, but this problem requires immediate attention.  Received an email this morning telling me there was an update of software available.  Plugged into the Desktop Manager and installed.  Went well until that right after the restart.  A frozen everything in closing the restart and from the restoration.  Now, all my data disappeared from my phone, I have no e-mail capabilities, no internet access, etc.  Now when I plug in the Office Manager he's just here saying that it connects to the phone, so now I can't even use a restore point to just run.  Right now I have a phone that has nothing of my data and can only make calls and send texts... might as well have a nokia from the old school!  I use this phone every day to work.  I need to work and so far no feedback of any type for a solution.  And of course you can not contact Blackberry via phone or chat to get help, who don't pee at all!  Between my phone freezing and having need of a hard reboot every day or so for the past month and now the matter today, I'm ready to think about Android.  That I hate because I love my blackberry.  Did someone's Blackberry out there listen to/read such things?  Need to get this fixed fast number.  Help, please!

  Sorry for the mixture to the top. It is under the common files, reasearch of movement, RIMdevice manager or AppLoader (I don't remember which folder). Anyway it must single .exe file and it is one that should be deleted. There is not any other .exe files in another folder. After that, I was able to connect to the Desktop Manager.   When you say "update new link', do you mean you did a full installation via the Link software?

  Otherwise you can do: completely reinstall the software and don't restore NOT from a previous backup (if any).

  Yes... from the 10.3.1 deployments, there have been many many people have reported problems when using automated processes "update." Reload the operating system (via the 'official' methods) healed often their problems.   Two options to try:

  One:

  • Open Blackberry Desktop Software & connect your device with the PC using the USB cable, without inserting the battery.
  • You have three Retry option, update or cancel, and then click Update.

  I got my wife a tour yesterday. When I connected it to my laptop to add music, it says that there is a software update (OS 4.7 and other files). So I updated the device (took about 45 minutes or more). Then I clickd'autant Media Manager to see, I had not installed it yet (I use Media Sync with my Storm). So I installed Media Manager and said to reboot my PC. So I restart and reload the desktop software and low, and here I thought I should do the exact same device update that I had done a few hours ago!
