Hi all
I have a situation when I try to log on my VC2.5 all get on the log on screen is the logo of Windows 2003 and the rest of the screen in BLACK. The cursor blinks in the area where the login username box would be.
I tried to log in and use the tab key, as there is no mouse pointer, there is an error message that is displayed, but all I see is the icon that would be in the error box nothing else it's all black.
Until two days ago, I was able to RDP to it, but now I can't so I can't send screenshots. I tried to log on locally, but nothing helped. Any ideas?

Black screen when viewing of DTV, can hear the program, but no image.
original title; Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005 - black screen when viewing of DTV, can hear the program, but no image.
When I set up my Windows XP Media Center Edition PC to view DTV, I used the Setup etc., XP scanned and found all the available DTT channels. I thought as much, worked for BBC1, BBC2, worked, then I went to view ITV1 and other channels, could hear the noise perfectly, but there is no picture, just a black background. He used to work because I previously installed the computer. However, wouldn't be a difference that the TV signal will of the antenna, in a block of TNT, and then in the computer, there always used to work. I have that, it is not a signal problem because I could watch the TNT cable SCART on the computer and the image and the sound is fine just using the freeview box. It seems to be the Media Center. Please can someone help me? Thank you
Apparently, this was caused by an outdated ATI graphics card driver. I recommend upgrading your graphics card driver to resolve this issue. Should work fine then

Black screen with cursor, no login screen; Windows 7 Home Premium 32-bit
Hi all
I have a Dell Inspiron 1501 running Win7 Home Premium 32 - bit with IE9. It worked perfectly fine for over a year. The last update listed in the system restore was on 23/04/2011. He installed the Windows updates.
My husband used the computer very well the next morning. When I tried to start the computer, it wouldn't so I thought that maybe the battery should be charged. I plugged it in and nothing helped. The load button wouldn't even nothing worked at all. I bought a new battery and it came yesterday. I changed the batteries and let one over new-completely. I then tried to start the computer and he did something I could not do in months... He ran the disk check.
The disk check lasted almost 2 hours. He wouldn't let me cancel it either. He said (from the pieces that I could see) that system files have been moved, a ton of them said that they have been replaced, others have been removed, and some have been updated. I knew not what do when it restarted because it did it is normal startup, showed at the Windows startup screen and then when I thought he was going to the login screen, it became black and only the cursor has been visible and moving.
I restarted again and this time the display of incorrect closing came. I tried all the options - normal mode, safe mode safe mode w/networking and safe mode w/prompt - all results were the same. Then I tried using the recovery tool to fix the problem. Startup Repair showed no problem, System Restore showed either deleted or corrupted files and I ran Windows Memory Diagnostic and it showed no problems. I even ran the Diagnostic tool in the start menu.
I think that chkdsk deleted my files of Windows, but I don't know how to get back them. I have the OS disk and tried to use the repair feature, but nothing yet. Also, I had to ask my husband did it to my laptop and he answered nothing. So I had to be more specific, and his answer to my questions were: ' I didn't download anything "and" I just closed the laptop, I never disconnected or shut it down. I guess that's the reason for the battery works not properly the next day.
If someone could help me with this, I would be very grateful.

Hi Vladimir78,
The only thing I can suggest at this stage is to get a printer USB cable, or you can restore to a previous point while it was working properly. Here is a document on how to do it.

Center Solutions HP stop working all that I get is a black screen
I have a HP Photosmart D 110 series, when I open the HP Solution Center, all I get is a screen black with a symbol of HP on this issue I tried to reload with the same results.
You can start again...
Try / consider:
You want to delete the existing printing with this software:
FixIt - Solve problems with programs that cannot be installed or uninstalled
- Don't forget to restart the system after uninstalling the existing software
- IF you use: make sure that the USB cable is disconnected by the time, the system is restarted and NOT be connected until, once the software is installed
- IF you use an ethernet cable connected to a router, you can leave the cable connected to the printer
- Download and install the latest software for full functionality of your Web site. Start
- Once the software is installed,
- Restart the system
- Go to the Web site, download and install the updates
- Restart and sign...
- Try Solution Center

Solutions Center is working, now black screen in white. HP C6280 on WIndows 7.
This problem did not come forward, or the answer is not in terms that I can only understand/identify. I have Windows 7 and printer HP Photosmart 6280. It works very well. Suddenly, the Solution Center is just a white square of black. It still prints, if I hit print, and it will scan, if I use the buttons on the front of the printer. It does not, however, the computer more than I can not get the solution center to see the choices. When I try to reload the program from the disk, the AutoPlay does not work, if I find the setup.exe file, when I click it, it says this does not work in Windows 7, however, he has worked up to this point. I have XP mode set up on this but I can't seem to make it work when I try to run in the framework. I am very ignorant on this stuff, so I need an answer in terms of syllabuls small and not assuming that I know what people are talking about? I can't, of course, actually talk to someone at HP for assistance.

I get a black screen when I play videos in Windows Media Player and Windows Media Center.
Until recently, all worked well for a long time. Now when you try to watch live TV or a DVD, I get a black screen with sound in Windows Media Center and trying to watch a DVD in Windows Media Player I also get a black screen with sound. The controls are there and functioning normally. DVDs are normally visible in the K-Lite Media Player Classic.
I have Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit, a tuner TV of SiliconDust HD Homerun networked and a videocard ATI Radeon 4550. I have all the latest updates.
I found and tried many recommendations of the Internet for problems like this, and none helped.
The video card driver is the latest provided by ATI to Microsoft for Windows Update and is dated from 19/04/2011. I tried to install the latest Catalyst software and driver from the ATI site, which does nothing to help, and then uninstalled. These drivers provide no option to adjust the hardware acceleration.
I had an older version of K-Lite codec package installed. The problem does not change if I have the old version, the last 32 + 64 bit version or no version installed.
In Control Panel, I tried to disable Windows 7 media, reset their reactivation components and reboot again. There is nothing.
I had an older version of installed package from Cyberlink. The problem remains the same if I have the old version, the version the most recent or any installed.
I tried to uninstall all Apple software: QuickTime, iTunes, etc. There is nothing to help.
I tried to create a new user account; same problem there.
I have VMware and a virtual machine that is running 64-bit Windows 7 Professional. In this machine, I can view DVD normally with Windows Media Player, using the same physical DVD drive. I don't have Media Center set up in this machine.
Title photo: original No. in Media Center and Media Player
The problem is now resolved. I removed the software installed probably because the problem started, and Cisco Webex, which I did not need, was probably the culprit, although I'm not 100% sure.
Thanks to those who have tried to help.
