A friend has been using my computer and changed some things to show in Arabic. I tried to re-definition of all in English, but I always get Arab dates in Microsoft Excel and the currency symbols, more an Arab cursor in all programs. How can I back to English?

  • A toolbar that is added to the start bar disappears on some computers if the language bar is docked.

I did a fresh install of Windows 7 Ultimate on one of my PC. All device drivers are working perfectly. I added Turkish to my languages and choose to display the embedded language (that is not detached from the start bar) bar. I added another toolbar (it could be a toolbar, such as the address or the Quick Launch bar, or a custom toolbar) to the start bar. When I restart the computer, it will operate additional disappears and I have to select them again each time. The only solution I've been able to understand in order to prevent the disappearance of these toolbars is to disconnect the language bar or choose to not show it. Download of Windows 7 available updates and update all device drivers did not make a difference. Device Manager displays any hardware not recognized and all that it seems normal. Out of curiosity, I installed the same operating system on another dissimilar PC, but did not have the same behavior. I hope that Microsoft or some other assistant will be able to understand why this happens (in some cases), and then maybe a fix/tweak BONE is located.

Yet once I tried different combination... Add the toolbar > connection off > login on > add the missing toolbar > restart > rest of the toolbar. I also tried disabled Norton Internet Security, and once again, I was able to successfully add the toolbar, but I guess it was rather related to the previous example, because I disconnect while.

  • Windows that display only half of the disk capacity

I have a new laptop HP EliteBook with Windows 7 SP1 is installed. SSD has 500 GB, but the system is only half of the disk capacity show.

What can we do?  Thank you.

CHKDSK discovered...  0 KB in bad sectors. 719099 KB in use by the system. 65536 KB occupied by the log file. 89854676 KB available on disk. 4 096 bytes in each allocation units total 60636159 the disk allocation unit. 22463669 allocation units available on disk.

Coincidentally reduce then extend the volume again?

CHKDSK is essentially a tool of file system and the capacity of the disc that you see in the Explorer disc property is actually the size of the file system rather than the physical size of the volume, the physical size of the volume is based on the head of sector, while the size of the file system is based on the number of clusters (allocation units).  The file system has a total of clusters 60636159 x 4096 bytes = 248,365,707,264 bytes.

Different size according to the different tools are both correct, but the file system is not using the entire partition, you need to extend the file system with the Diskpart tool.

At a command prompt, enter the following commands:

    C:\ > DISKPART
    DISKPART > list Volume
DISKPART > select volume c (here, you can use the figures given by the Volume of the order list or use the actual letter of the volume, in your case 'c')

    DISKPART > extend filesystem
    DISKPART > exit (exit Diskpart)

Here is a screenshot of the procedure:

The file system extension is relatively safe, but as always you should ensure that you have a good backup of your files before doing any kind of work of system disk/partition or file.

  • [Fusion3 on 10.6.8] - virtual disk is pré-alloué to 20 GB, but the C: drive of windows that display only 9.99 GB?

    Hi all

I have a situation that needs solving. When you create my virtual machine in Windows 7 (64-bit) on my Mac, I set up as a 10 GB machine. Later, I decided it wasn't enough, so I happened to 20 GB (préalloués checked and divided into 2 GB verified). However, the C: drive of my Windows vm is still appearing as Go 9.99, rather than 20 GB.

So my question is, how can we get the C: to reflect the correct space préalloués on the virtual machine file Windows 7 on my Mac? Images are fixed below to show my problem.

    Welcome to the community,

increase the file system is a task in the 2 step. First of all, you must increase the size of the virtual disk (which you already did) and then you must resize the partition in the guest operating system. In the case of Windows 7, you can do this using the 'disk management '.

  • Windows that display only a 1 TB SATa drive 32 GB

Hello. Recently, I tried to upgrade my HP dc5700 small Form Factor PC XP Professional SP2 to Windows 8 Pro. A disk read error occurred during automatic reboot, which meant that I couldn't finish the upgrade. I had to restore the system using my HP recovery DVD, but that did not work, so I chose the format & recover, which seemed to work until I realized that I only had 32 GB of available disk space on the hard drive of 160 GB. I thought it must be a hard drive problem, so I installed a not 1 TB hard drive and reinstalled from the recovery disc. But the problem is still there. I checked the BIOS and I have the latest version: 786E2 V02.09. Any ideas?

No problem. As I had everything backed up in any case, I decided to cut my losses and installed Windows 7. Problem solved :-)

    Hello

    Is what program this?

Do you know if it supports the English operating system?

You should contact your supplier or the manufacturer of the program and check if this software supports and runs on an operating system with an English Interface. Unicode (Unreadable character) indicates that the software does not support your language.

    See you soon.
