Some driver software is the display in Japanese

(Moved to programs)

At one point, I installed a program on my computer that required me to move to the Japanese locale. Does OK no big deal. The computer is running on Windows 7 Ultimate. When I had finished installing, I changed the locale on. Not too sure if that's what is causing this problem or not, but I now have a very frustrating situation. Since then, I have installed several other programs on the computer, for the most part, the driver for audio adapters software and also for the printer, at this time, my main concern is with the printer. When I want to print, display area is in Japanese. I have no idea what alerts me-low of ink, paper etc... Its all guessing and clicking on an area within the alert, it is also in Japanese. And this only happens with certain programs or drivers not alll of them. Everything is in English as it should. I removes language Japanese, re-installed software pack and so forth to try to fix the problem without success. Can someone help me with this problem. Bottom right of the screenshot, you'll see the alert from the printer in Japanese.

Hello

Thanks for posting your concern here at the Microsoft Community forum. Let me help you with your concern.

You may experience this issue if the system language settings that have changed not registered or if you don't have not set correctly.  Dare to change the parameters of language and the region on your computer of your choice and then try to install these programs.

You will have to change the region settings in Control Panel. To change the region setting:

  1. Open Control Panel

  2. Select clock, language and region

  3. Select region and language

  4. Go to the tab location

  5. Change location to United States

  6. Restart the computer and check to see if that solves the problem.

Also in the locale under language settings->-> audit of the non-unicode if programs administrative language is English.

For more information about changing the region, refer to the following link:

What you need is the package of added value. This package contains several tools and utilities. One of them is utility of Flash cards. This tool is for Flash cards that you see at the top of the screen when you press the FN key.

You may need to uninstall iTunes to get the drive working again.

Description of errors related to the 10 Code that generates the Device Manager in Windows on computers
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/943104/

Please make all below even if you have done some before as it is often the set of operations which solves the problem.

    Try this - Panel - Device Manager - CD/DVD - double-click on the device - driver tab - click
Update the drivers (this will probably do nothing) - then RIGHT click the drive - UNINSTALL - REBOOT
This will refresh the default driver stack.

Then, work your way through these - don't forget the drive might be bad, could be a loose cable or
slight corrosion on the contacts (usually for a laptop) and other issues.

Some DVD players do not use the Windows default drivers so check with the manufacturer of system and

    Method One

    1. Completely remove the Upperfilters and Lowerfilters from the following registry key values:

NOTE: If you get a code 39 message, it may be that additional third-party filter drivers were added to UpperFilters and LowerFilters values in addition to Adaptec filter drivers. In this case, you can try to remove the first non-Adaptec filter drivers, filters Easy Creator by leaving in place to see if the Code 39 goes away. If you still receive an error code 39, 32 or 31, delete Upperfilters and Lowerfilters completely values in the previous key.

  • Installation of the driver software window opens on the second monitor in a dual monitor extended installation of the monitor

The "Software Installation" window will open on the second monitor in a dual monitor extended installation of the monitor

I have a dual display setup. A 225WS 1680 x 1050 monitor LG is connected via a VGA cable and a VGA - DVI converter to a DVI port on a Radeon 6850 video card. The second screen is a Samsung HDTV set at 1920 x 1080 and connected via HDMI on the same video card. I have set up the screen LCD as main monitor and the Samsung HDTV as the extended display. HDTV is most of the time, but I use it at least once a day. This isn't a driver problem, because it happened also when I had an old Nvidia video card and it is fixed by a new installation of windows and setting up of screens from a square.

The installer works great almost all the time except when I try to use some programs or Windows functions (7). When I try to start the MozBackup application or I pop in a new usb device and click on the notification bubble, both these windows (MozBackup and the "Driver software Installation" window) open in the center of the HDTV as opposed to the LCD (which is defined as primary). The problem is that the views are ~ 3 meters out and HDTV is mostly off.

I sent a bug report to the developer of MozBackup because this part is perhaps a problem with its software or what old Windows functions and hooks it uses, but the window "Installing the driver software" (or who knows what other program Windows Basic) has exactly the same problem and is part of Windows.

What can I do about it? I DIDN'T put the displays in any mode "clone" to have office in mirror between them. Is - this fixable somehow? I guess that is not a problem with the video card drivers because I used two different video cards with either the manufacturer or windows update drivers and the problem is the same.

    Thank you.

    Hello

I have Satellite M70-159 and I noticed the same thing several times. For most Vista works well but I don't remember cases in which the described problem occurs. I was just curious on M70 Vista and have had no time to intensive testing.

Anyway, it will be interesting to know if you have already updated the BIOS to the latest version 5.10. If this is not the case to do this and watch carefully if the problem persists.
