  I recently started using Windows Fax Scan & on Windows 7.  The first days, I have not had any problems receiving faxes.  Now every fax I want to receive declares, "the remote fax machine did not respond in time, and ended the call."  How can I solve this problem?  It allows once 5 of 7 pages to receive.  Any help would be great.

  It worked for me
  (1) open my computer-> Control Panel-> modems Options and.
  (2) on the Modems tab, select your modem from the list, and then click Properties.
  (3) in the Advanced tab, click Change default Preferences.
  (4) the speed of the Port is by default 115200; change to 9600 and see how it
  going.

  Have a 7520 HP printer all in one. I have a phone/answering machine plugged into the rear 2EXT port and the other phone cord supplied with the printer in the other and it goes on the phone jack in the wall.

  I have problems with the fax machine pick up anything. I got the answering machine pick up on the 2 rings and the 3rings for Telec pick-up setting.  The fax keeps howling through once the answering machine picks up.

  Is not on the message rule. This is the setting, you need to check... "Keep copies of messages on the server".

  Open Windows Mail > accounts > your Comcast account > properties > advanced, under outgoing mail, check "leave a copy of messages...". "> OK"

  Repeat the same procedure on both computers.

  Method 2:  rename the queue in queue folder. Old and delete all pending tasks in the queue folder. To do this, follow the steps below

  (a) copy and paste the location into the search box of start

  C:\Users\All Users\Application Data\Microsoft\Windows NT\MSFax

  (b) open the MSFax folder > rename the queue in queue folder. Old and delete all pending tasks in the queue folder

  (c) restart the computer, and then check

  We have just this printer, but when we try to send faxes just, it sounds and sounds like a normal phone even if it is properly configured to receive faxes.

  Contact HP.  The functions Copier and Scanner this device don't even NEED a computer at all - much less _ Windows - to work.  Make sure you only have everything connected correctly.

  Look screen kinda gross but the product Snappy fax

  Also... you mentioned that you have changed carriers... If you have a voicemail service active this will disrupt your incoming faxes... There is no work around, you MUST turn OFF your voicemail to receive faxes.

  Well, after the meeting on hold and try to have a HP reprepsentative help me I managed to self diagnose and solve my problem.  For those of you who have this problem - there is a "Auto answer" button on the front of the fax machine.  I have no idea WHY this must be 'market' (who wouldn't want their fax to automatically answer a fax) but that is the question.  I hope this helps others with the same problem!

  Thanks for the details in the post.

  Wanted to check what version of OME use you - OME 2.1?

  If so, this behavior with ws - man discovery could potentially due to expiry of certificate on this device. You can launch the iDRAC user interface and confirm the certificate information.

  2.1 the OME, the WS - Man communication component is updated. The most recent component does not communicate with the device if that device has been exceeded in the certificate.

  Sslresetcfg running via racadm will reset the certificate. For details and solution, see same threadhttp://en.community.dell.com/techcenter/systems-management/f/4494/t/19653767 .
