Sound after Vista-> downgrade XP on Satellite M100 problem

My laptop is Toshiba Satellite M100. After bios upgrade (5.10-> 2.80) and downgrade OS (Vista-> XP) I have a sound problem.
There is not a sound from the speakers. But the line out (headphone) sound is ptesent.
I use drivers sound card for XP on the official website. Any ideas?

Hello

There is a good solution for your problem.
Go to this site:
www.Realtek.com

and download the sounddrivers from there. In any case, they work perfectly since they are native drivers for this chipset.

Welcome them

    Hello
    I have a Toshiba Satellite x 200 SLi

After I installed the SP1 of Vista, I just lost sound and even update the audio drivers... I still have several problems such as: sometimes the sound stops, errors, try to display movies... etc...

Vista tells me that I have Norman for update my drivers but I already have the last avaiable driver on TOSHIBA page.

    Anyone with the same problem?
No idea how to solve this problem?

    Thank you

The problem is that Microsoft's Vista SP1 makes trouble. The problem is that not all drivers are compatible and fully supported by SP1.

I think you have a Realtek audio chip. Perhaps have you check the site Web of Realtek s the latest HD audio driver

If this doesn't help, then you will have to wait until the new update is available (or you will remove him SP1)

  • Flat cable on Satellite M100 problem

I bought my Satellite M100 in the Canada but I live in Croatia.
My LCD flat cable is wrong if I need to replace it. Croatia is not official Toshiba service, so I called that close and asked them for a flat cable...
The problem is that they do not know what is the difference between Canadians and Europeans of flat cable. Is it the same? If I order it, they will not return my money if the cable does not fit.

    Help, please.
    Best regards

I'm no expert, but I think that Canadian M100 is the same as European A100.
I do not know what service you have contacted, but I can recommend you contact http://www.mojservis.hr/ in Zagreb.
It's a Toshiba authorized service provider and I hope they can help you.

  • Satellite L30-113 - no sound after the downgrade from Vista to XP

    Hello to everyone.
I recently bought a new laptop Toshiba Satellite L30-113
    with vista preintalled.

As many users around the vista of the world seemed very slow for me so I decided to go back to Windows XP Pro.
The problem is that I can't hear any sound in my laptop.
In fact I found some drivers for Realtek controller High definition audio
    but they have nothing did.

I give the floor to toshiba in Greece and they told me that this laptop is designed only for windows vista!
    Can this be true?
    Help, please

    Hello

In my eyes, you have misunderstood something. Of course, that the laptop can handle Windows XP and it should work correctly, but as you say the device was shipped with Vista and so the guys at Toshiba support don't provide any support for WinXP on this laptop.

As far as I know page driver Toshiba also provide drivers for win XP. Therefore, visit European driver of Toshiba page and choose the good laptop-> PSL33 Sat L30-113

You will find a driver 5.10.0.5273 version XP. This should work!

    Have a nice day ;)

  • Satellite P100-442 - sound after Vista update problem

    Vista Home Premium operating system.

Since "Vista Update" installed a pilot of its new "Conexant high definition SmartAudio HD2", the sound does not work.
It does that after I do a "ch for devices modified" via "Device Manager".
But I do whenever I have start the laptop.
Should I first remove this driver (and how?) and to install the driver on the Toshiba site?

Try to restore to an earlier time using System Restore option.

If everything works again DO NOT install updates for ALL pilot rating. Just install update marked as important. All others (optional) update SHOULD NOT be installed at all.

    Hello

I just installed Windows 7 Professional on my Satellite Pro U200 10 p.

    Available for XP Pro.

Sound has stopped working since the new facility (which fromatting the drive - no partition) and can not find a solution. The v6.10.1.6000 of SoundMAX Integrated Digittal HD Audio Driver is installed. I uninstalled and reinstalled several times, but this doesn't seem to be the right driver. I can't find info to tell me what the correct driver can be either. The Toshiba site is a little sparse on Windows 7 drivers for this model and gives no indication that the driver may be is.

Windows 7 does not think that there is a problem and some reports that "this device works properly." in speaker properties > Configuration information dialog box. However not coming out, the speakers or the 3.5 mm jack

    Anyone got any ideas?

    Thank you

    Hello

Go to Device Manager and check what sound chip you have exactly:

    Use this statement:
[How to identify an unknown device? | http://forums.computers.toshiba-europe.com/forums/ann.jspa?annID=78]

Then you should be able to find a good pilot.
I also recommend remove/delete the sound card in Device Manager.
Just select the audio remove card and press on, and then restart the laptop

PS: Are you sure that the sound is not muted? Please check this too!

  • Qosmio F30-147 - no sound after Vista upgrade

I recently upgraded my Qosmio F30-147 of Windows XP MCE to Vista Business. I downloaded and installed almost all drivers available on the download page of Toshiba (including the update of the BIOS). Everything works fine but the sound. The SigmaTel High Definition Audio CODEC is the only "peripheral" listed in Device Manager. I have installed and uninstalled the SigmaTel driver available (version: 6.10.5462.0) several times without success. You have any ideas?

Very strange! You have installed all the stuff with command described in the document instructions facilities facilities?

  • No sound after vista updated itself

I have two computers acer laptops that connect to the internet by dial-up, everything works very well until last month, and now they both can not get a dial tone.  Modems are software based and the company that provided the driver (Agere) no longer exists.  Any suggestions besides becoming an external modem?

    Hi modemproblems,.

Thank you for using answers Forum.

There are a few things you can try.

I suggest you roll back the device to the modem driver through the Device Manager.
You can reach the Device Manager by clicking on 'Hardware and Sound' from the Control Panel, then click on 'Device Manager '.

Alternatively, you can try System Restore to restore your computer to a time when modems worked.

I remember that I was in a similar situation some two years back in an attempt to re - install Windows XP on another laptop from my friend. We install everything except the audio. Finally, the technician at the shop could install for us. Now I'm away from the place... So can not go and find out that the man how it install it. It was also a HP laptop only...

I would like to add that the mute button stays red and does not respond when you press.

  • No sound after upgrade to Vista on Satellite M55-S139

I just put a laptop Toshiba Satellite M55-S139. I added a 1 GB RAM and everything seems to work, even the Aero Interface.

However, I have no sound. Vista indicates that the device is working properly think it works, but I don't hear anything from the speakers or the headphones. I uninstall the program from Toshiba Virtual Sound that Vista has complained that it was not compatible.

The sound is a "RealTek AC97 Audio". Thanks in advance for any help.

Maybe the audio driver that is installed on your laptop is not compatible with Vista.
Search this site realtek more audio drivers:
    http://www.Realtek.com.tw/downloads/

and try the diver SoundMAX Integrated Digital Audio.
