Sound interference of USB speakers

"Consider the following scenario. Connect a speaker (USB) universal serial bus to a Windows Vista-based computer. The audio sounds clear. Then you connect another USB device to the computer. For example, this USB device can be a USB keyboard, USB mouse or a USB game controller. In this scenario, the USB speaker audio is distorted now. This problem occurs when the computer uses a controller OHCI Open Host Controller Interface (). »

The solution is ready for Vista (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/943599), but not for Windows 7, so I have to endure a hum and distortion, whenever my computer is connected to the Windows.

Any info on upcoming patches? :)

Hello

USB speakers use a lot of power. Only 2 USB ports (some have 4) are powered and those who have a very limited
amount of energy. Best solution is to try to use a Powered Hub - usually $ 20 to $ 30.

Also check this:

Right click on speaker icon - reading devices

Highlight speakers - properties (right same low page) - tab improvements - check Disable all sound effects
Apply - OK

I hope this helps.

  • Setting sound volume for USB speakers

I have Dell AC511 USB speakers attached to the Mac Mini.  When using these speakers, slices of level default volume using volume up/down on the keyboard go straight from muted way too loud for the rest room in the evening by pressing volume up only once.  Is there a way to make slices when you press volume up/down key on the keyboard be more specific?  Using the mouse to adjust the volume (using volume in the menu bar icon or by using the volume slider in the control panel) offers much more granularity.  I would like to have these more granular increases when you use keyboard volume keys down too.

I did not take anything under the sound settings in the preferences of each system or in the application Configuration Audio and MIDI.

    Howdy Alex -.

I understand you want to adjust the volume of your Mac in small increments without having to use the mouse. Fortunately, this can be done in now Option and shift when setting the volume via the volume on your keyboard keys.

  • System only through headphones - no music sounds. BUT... the music only through USB speakers. No system sounds. What is happening with this?

I listened to the music on my computer through headphones regular plugged into the audio jack of 3.5 mm.  I could hear the computer through headphones - music, movies, YouTube, system sounds - everything.

Then, I plugged my Microsoft Digital Sound System 80 speakers via the USB interface.  Windows XP found the speakers, loaded the right driver, gave me the message "your device is ready to use" and things started to play music that was running on the computer.  Sounds incredible.

But now, I have a weird problem.  I can hear only the sounds system through headphones (beeps and dings that play during system events), but I can't hear the sound system on the USB speakers. AND... I can't hear the music/videos/YouTube, etc. on the speakers USB-interface, but I can't hear the sound system through the USB speakers.

When I go to the audio tab of the sounds applet in the control panel and change the device for audio playback by default "SoundMAX HD Audio" to "Microsoft Digital Sound System", then I hear everything - system and all - sounds on USB speakers.  But then I hear anything through the headphones.

I want to be able to Exchange music back to making the USB speakers.  How this is done?

Yes, they are older speakers.  But they work a lot.  And the digital sound via the USB interface is excellent.

    Hi BitSpanker,

The only option is to change the audio device by default for the device that you want to hear the audio.

    (a) click Start, click Control Panel, and then click sounds, speech, and Audio devices.

    (b) click on sounds and Audio devices, and then click the Audio tab.

    (c) in the sound playback section, under default device, make sure the audio device is the correct default audio device.

    (d) If this isn't the correct default audio device, click the drop-down list next to the device name, click the audio device you want, and then click OK.

Change the audio device may require that restart you your computer.

  • No sound from Internet Explorer / Sound of ok media with USB speakers player and without.

Please can someone help... I am running Vista Home premium on a Toshiba Satellite Pro A200 series. I ran diagnostics and any other thing, I see... I can get good sound play anything through Media Player... But no Internet Explorer sounds... makes no difference with or without USB speakers. Have upgraded to IE 8 to IE 7 - not make a difference.

I just encountered this problem but luckily managed to solve it easily. I got guitar pro running playing sound normally and IE wasn't when you run simultaneously. I closed gp and IE worked as usual. I didn't know this before with these two programs, but I would say that if you have this problem try closing unnecessary programs and restart ie.

  • USB speakers

    Hello.

I had an old pair of speakers with an audio cable that is plugged into the audio port of the computer. I decided to buy a pair of USB speakers (thinking that the USB plugged into the USB "replaced" the audio cable to the audio port.)

However, the USB speakers work only when the audio cable "and" the USB cable is connected. Why the need for two cables speakers?

    Am I missing something?

    Hello

Probably intended use the USB and audio cable to the sound stream for power. May be because
It is cheaper to do it this way. Best source of information would be the creator of the speaker.

    I hope this helps.

I get no sound through my USB plug in the headset. But I do get sound by analog channel on my set of speakers. Everything takes?

I would check the Manager devices to see if all your sound drivers are installed and working.  Click Start, right-click computer, and click Properties.  Then click on Device Manager.  If none of the entries have exclamation points or question marks, you need to get a Windows 7 compatible driver for them.

I hope this helps.  Good luck.

  • USB speakers not working not

I have a simple set of USB speakers (not only fed, no drivers) connected to my laptop (Vista, SP1). The Device Manager shows my Realtek sound card and my USB speakers. Control Panel > sounds > playback shows the two internal speakers and USB. I put the USB speakers as my default and configuration test reproduces very well, but only the internal speakers receive the audio stream. For some reason any, if I disable the USB speakers with their own switch, the internal speakers are leaving! I tried thses speakers on another laptop (Win XP) and they work fine. I tried several disconnected... rebooted USB ports... rebooted plugged... all this without success. Which setting I'm missing? Or is it another Vista problem? Help, please.

    my previous thread: http://xrl.in/2c49

Thanks for your comments, Zack. After all my trials, I think things can go smoother by plugging directly on my laptop and avoiding the hub, but I think something else is happening... In any case, I discover this disconnection of the hub before you plug in the hub to the speakers (!). I'll live with it... Thanks again.

  • USB speakers are silent after installing Windows 7

I have a Dell Latitude E5400. It's a laptop. Initially, it came with Win XP.

When Microsoft stopped its support for Win XP, I've upgraded to Windows 7.

With Win XP, I had no problem getting USB speakers sound.

With Win 7, I have a problem. When the power is connected, there is no sound from speakers with the exception of a short dull noise. The same noise appeared with Win XP.

With Win 7 there is sound from built-in speakers or earphones.

The speakers are Philips DGX320 computer speakers.

I downloaded and installed the following:

Realtek High Definition Audio Codec (Windows Vista / Windows 7 / Windows 8 32-bit).

I have not found a way to configure a USB in Latitude E5400 speaker.

Any help to solve the above will be appreciated.

    Hello

    Thanks for your quick response.

I opened my acoustic window, took a copy of Θcran and placed next to your sound window creating a sound document - Ljud.doc which I uploaded to this message.

My computer's language is Swedish (his illiterate =).

I hope that you can see in the downloaded document I have only two devices of reading defined: 1 speakers/headphones, IDT High Definition Audio CODEC (active), peripheral by defect and 2. Independent headphones IDT High Definition Audio CODEC Ready (non-active)

I have a click with the right button in the empty box, opens the contextual and chosen to display disconnected and disabled but devices there were not all these devices.

I guess my problem is to define my USB speakers as a reading device? Clues?

  • Windows 7 - audio system sometimes works and sometimes doesn't. Soundcard Question. Issue of the audio recording. Poor sound quality from the speakers.

I connect on - the work of sound system very well.  Media player works fine.  The next time I log on - no sound system.  Everything is plugged, convenience store finds no problems, Media player goes through all the steps and looks that don't worry, still no sound.  I have download a fix for the VIA recommended by Dell Driver.  I did, and it still has the same problem.  I can close, reconnect, and then the sound will work.  Sometimes I have to close and log on twice in a row so he can launch.

Can someone point me in the right direction to solve this problem?  I am working on a Dell Inspiron 546 AMD Athlon II x 2 215 2.70 GHz and 64-bit with 400 GB of RAM.  I installed Windows 7 but when I dug deeper into the service code for this machine which found at some point in time he had installed Vista.  This could be the same Vista to Windows 7 problem audio, everyone seems to have?  I bought this Staples announced new with Windows 7 as operating system.

I did research on all forums and responses and am unable to check if I have a "sound card".  I'm not used with the terminology so even if I follow the Microsoft instructions to find the right place to check and see, I do not understand what I see when I'm there.  It is said: ATI high definition Audio Device and VIA High Definition Audio.  Is this to say that I have a sound card or I should get it a?  If I buy a sound card will it fix my audio problem?

Even though I had my audio problem fixed, I was disappointed by the sound quality of the speakers on this new system up to date.  My speakers on my old computer (which lasted from Windows 98) were by far superior in sound quality.  I don't understand why they sound so crappy and barely louder, and when you show the to they have a rattle for them.  I tried plugging my old speakers on my new computer, but nothing happens.  My new speakers have a Plug and a USB port.  I don't know what is... why goal can not use my 'old'?

Finally, I want to record my vinyl on discs and need a great sound system.  Any advice?

I removed all the ATI Audio as suggested.  The result in the short term is that the audio quality is improved.  I no longer hear the "crackling" when the sound is turned on.  I'll answer more if the issue of audio (works) continues to be a problem because the fix.  If you don't hear from me, then please consider the problem solved and my thanks to you.

  • Satellite C660 - no sound headphones but through speakers - Win7

I know that many people here have the same problem, but so far I have found no solution.
My sound card is a Realtek. After you have reinstalled Windows 7 I have no sound on my headset so that I have some of my speakers.

As soon as I connect the headphones, the Realtek Manager appears and I choose headphones but if I press the 'Test' button there is no sound and no sound if I play music.
Any des/re-reinstalling drivers does not fix.

I should mention that my headset works perfectly with Ubuntu. The input jack is good.
In "Playback devices" icon of sound control, the entry "Speakers" "puts in default" in gray.

    Many thanks for any help.

    Kind regards.

    > As soon as I connect the headphones, the Realtek Manager appears and I choose the headphones, but if I press the 'Test' button there is no sound and no sound if I play music.

Go to the dashboard-> Realtek HD audio manager

Here, you should see the speakers on the tab. Click on the yellow folder in the upper right.
Ensure that the option disable front jack detection is NOT checked.
Also check out the option down called enable auto popup dialogue box
[Screenshot of audio driver Realtek HD | https://itpendium.files.wordpress.com/2009/05/14-realtek-hd-audio-manager-big.jpg]

By the way: in the control panel-> sound-> reading tab right click and mark both options see the disabled devices, show hidden devices
Now, you should also see the headset plug. In case it has been disabled, you could make it active.

  • Sound appear through the speakers connection adapter to Satellite P300

I have a Satellite P300 and every time that I conect the connector AC/DC for power I hear a sound in the headphones or the speakers.

This sounds like a terrible sound and I use the p300 to work with sound and I need help to lose this sound.

    Can anyone help me?

    Hello

It's very strange. Are you sure that the sound comes from the speakers and not AC/DC adapter?

For me, it sounds like a hardware problem, but before moving on to an authorized service provider be sure that the latest version of the BIOS is installed. You can download it on the Toshiba site.

If it doesn't work you should contact an ASP. The technician can check this.

  • SATELLINE Pro A200: When headphones are plugged in sound comes through the speakers + headphones

I have problems when I plug my headphones in the headphone, sound comes through the headphones and speakers.

He has not always done that, only for a few months and I have tried know how to solve this problem for a long time.

Any help would be greatly appreciated,

    Thank you.

    Your helmet is possibly defective.
Usually, the small switch located in the headphone must turn off speaker s if the headphone is plugged.
If this switch doesn't work properly, so could the sound comes through the speakers too

I think that it is a case of ASP and the laptop technicians need to check this

    Hello world
    I'm a strange problem

I installed the latest driver for the NVIDIA graphics I also reinstalled windows but the same problem still
I tried everything literally: System Restore; flashed the BIOS to 3.60. updated all my drivers. reinstalled Windows; tried to unravel a possible conflict with other devices or Audio HD Nvidia device; tried to disable the HD Audio from Nvidia; and also tried uninstall Conexant SmartAudio HD, which allows Windows to install default device HD Audio but it only made it worse

my laptop is a toshiba l755

    > the sound just stops (internal speakers), but when I plug my headphones, the sound works

Not quite sure this topic but it seems to me a bad functioning of the speaker.
But to be honest, that it's just a hypothesis, its strange sounds to me that the sound is coming through the headset correctly but speakers don t work so I guess that the speakers can be affected.

  • Satellite A505-S6973 - no sound from my laptop speakers

I have an A505-S6973 and today I lost volume on my speakers. When I took my headphones, I hear, but without the headset is plugged in, I have no sound from my laptop speakers.

I checked the Manager of devices for software problems but everything is erased, also, my volume is completely on.

I tried a restore, but in vain, as I tried to uninstall and reinstall the extra value package but when you try to run the software after extraction it an error [0x8146045B] reports itself.

This morning, everything seemed to work fine, the only thing I can think, I removed my places of sharing network of windows media.

If that's the culprit can someone guide me on how I can re - install. In addition, value added package question, is there something that can be done, because the buttong enable/disable touchpad when press nothing happens, but if I use the function with F9 key it activates / deactivates.

I really hope someone can help me, apparently, that it is an unlucky weekend for me.
