SP1 Installation Code 800736B 3

800736B 3 error code when you try to install Sp1 for Win7, automatic update, or even after the download of the file in my computer

Hi samueladib,

I suggest you try the methods mentioned below and check if it helps.

Method 1: Run the Windows Update troubleshooting tool.

http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/open-the-Windows-Update-Troubleshooter

Method 2: Temporarily disable the security software.

Note: Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable your antivirus software. If you do not disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network during the time that your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.

Method 3: Put the computer in a clean boot State before proceeding with the installation of SP1.

Note: After the installation of SP1, follow step 7 in the link provided to return the computer to a Normal startupmode.

Method 4: Follow the provided article and run the system update readiness tool.

  • Suddenly no genuine Windows. No installation code to activate.

On 2 February, microsoft decided suddenly my windows was not authentic, it only allowed restricted access. It's after 3 or 4 years of owning the laptop which has vista pre-installed. I then phone activation but at the point of installation code, I have spaces, there is no figures. Has been updated through different departments, the line was cut.

I rang several times and been submitted to various people, which ultimately could not help at all.
Then finally I was put to a service, which gave me an e-mail address to send a photo of my sticker (key, under laptop) for them and they would get back to me for help. I thought that the problem could begin to be resolved.

I tried to activate by phone, but I had no installation code, it's just n? t

If the technician put me through to help you today, you were

closed on weekends and you asked for a photo of the faded tile.

It is the best quality I can get.

Now, I wanted to add that I tried today? There is only a single digit/letter

absent from the thumbnail, it rubbed off after 3 years of use.

So I thought, why not try to guess what it is? that's what I

    have? etc.

I tried every number from 1 to 9, and then all the letters A - Z, all

    Not valid?

But when I tried the 'T', he said not invalid, it said error code

Unfortunately, the system log file is not go back that far :(

Research in the application log reveals that it was shortly after that the system reported errors in disk - they are taken into account in the subsequent CHKDSK report where a large number of errors have been corrected, but one the system reports bad sectors.

Maybe this is a sign that the hard drive is dying. (especially since a CHKDSK earlier don't report any bad sectors)

You should back up your data to external storage and consider replacing the hard drive and using a clean reinstall.
