spam/viagra

I ordered one on the counter allergy medication online from canada _ for a year and I'm be bombarded with requests for viagra and dysfunction erectile meds like you please tell me how to stop this.  I mark all these phishing scams, but continue to receive hundreds of unsolicited e-mails.  PLEASE HELP - TIRED OF COMPENSATION TO MY IN-BOX.

Doc,
you're right - I won't make this mistake again!  It's sad that I have to even go to an out of country _ to get the best medication allergy - stupid meth heads made my allergies medication targets of choice!  but, to get this problem solved, is possible that I can have my set of filtering of e-mail to specific words target?  and then get them directly into the spam box.  some of these attempts unsolicited to buy drugs already go directly into the spam box, but I still get a few each day that make it in my normal box.  I got my current e-mail address for some time and you won't have to change at this point.  What is "Security Essentials" forum?  Please tell me how to get in touch with a real person to warm/windows, e-mail accounts so that it stopped.  Thank you.

This depends on your e-mail ap client.  For example, I use Outlook (not outlook express).  With Outlook, I can create a rule to search for specific words in the body of the subject or message (and even the header).  However, this will solve all of your problems.  Different character sets, spaces in keywords, misspellings deliberate, etc. will make your rules past.

I know what you mean to have the email for a long time and do not want to change.  Unfortunately, there are a lot of misfits out there who enjoy to make problems for the rest of us.

The security essentials forum is a forum for the anti-malware Microsoft Security Essentials (www.microsoft.com/security_essentials ) product, which is where your message has been posted.

On contact with a human being living in hotmail, if I remember well when I tried last that my doctor increased my meds shortly after the attempt.

  • Spam from my own email address

I use MSN on Windows XP and today I received an email from my email address. When I opened it, it is a supplement for Viagra. It's as if I send my own spam free. I'm trying to understand how someone can do and prevent it from happening again. I use Norton Internet Security, and nothing was found after doing a scan. Thanks for your help.

    Hello

It has nothing to do directly with your computer.

E-mail is not sent directly out of our computers to the destination.

Our activities email through the email providers mail server.

Spammers are finding ways to "Tinker" with the servers.

Spammers harvest email addresses and fake her from addresses, it's a way to avoid some anti-spam filters.

That said, you have to scan your computer on a regular basis just to make sure that there is no. Trojans and malware sneak up on you.

  • I receive email spam from my yahoo email account contacts. Am I at risk of being hacked too?

I get spam from my gmail contacts 2. One grandson, with a yahoo email account. Another, ' name sent on ", on account of yahoo from a friend of the family. There is no topic and no content in these emails, just a link to click on. I clicked on the first link sent my grandson. The first time, my search engine, Mozilla Firefox, would not lead the link. So 6 or so, he led to a site advertising Viagra. Quickly, I broke the link. I have not clicked on the link in his second e-mail "not applicable". But I sent him a separate email, asking him why he was sending these. Then today I received another one of those spam e-mails from the friend of the family (which had not sent us more than 2 years) and was immediately suspicious.

It is obvious to me now that these two people have had their email accounts hijacked. Am I at risk of also taken hostage? My only security is Microsoft Security Essentials. It will be enough? Or I have to download Malwarebytes and perform a scan in safe mode, etc. ?

Thank you for any answers you can provide.

    Hello

1st thing to do is to warn them that their yahoo accounts have been compromised; You can call if necessary if they are not replying to emails on your part

    Hi pdkbingo,

It is more than likely that your email account which is at fault and not on your PC. It is quite easy to 'spoof' an email so it seems that if it came from your email address when, in reality, it comes from someone else. I suggest change you your email provider, so changing your email address. If you are using groups of public discussion, facebook, twitter "are not" visualize your email address. Unscrupulous people help software 'bots' trawl newsgroups etc. for email addresses. It's a way to get loads of spam. If you post an email address in a newsgroup etc. then type something like * address email is removed from the privacy *. Of course, you will need to enter your 'real' email address when registering for the discussion groups, facebook, twitter etc but if your email address is not visible there cannot be "hijacked" as you say.

If the emails are not grey/navy/red, then your email provider may have marked them as spam, which would explain why the not junk option is not there. Try to go to the e-mail provider's website to see if you can adjust the junk e-mail settings there.

  • My account is spam and I can't stop it!

For nearly two months now my account has sent hundreds of emails from spam to known contacts and also unknown email addresses.

I contacted my domain name provider (nominalia.es) and they advised me to do a few things:

1 change my password by e-mail, as well as the outgoing smtp password (done.  Twice.)

    2. install an antivirus.  (I have Avast Mac Security.  No viruses or other problems found),

    3. remove my email address of my site.  (Fact).

Despite having followed all the advice, the problem continues as before.

It's so boring that I am a user in a company and I'm spamming all my clients and friends and family.  I need to make that judgment.   I thought to give up my domain name and walk away with a new, but as an established business for a long time, that I really want to change my address web and e-mail, unless absolutely necessary.

    Any help would be appreciated.

(I wanted to put that in a community of mail, but fails.  Please move my message if there is a better place for this).

First of all, I would like to better understand the situation.

Are the emails sent in bulk, or are they sent periodically to the various emails at different times?

If you have a different e-mail Client, I would say you switch to that and see if the problem persists.
