• Updated blackBerry Z10 OS 10.2.0.429 - SMS works not

  I got a notification of updated OS today to 10.2.0.429 and updated, it is installed without any problem. I then went to see why there was an update and all information is not found, but found a few saying that their text messaging not working - when I have my tests, I quickly discovered that I can no longer send messages or text recceive messages.  E-mails work fine, but the SMS cross. I can't find a way to roll back the update of the OS and I am concerned about wiping everying - anyone else having this problem and have any ideas, what to do?

  My wife just download updated 10.2.1.2977 once the download is finished, I noticed our internet connection was VERY slow so I decided to go into the router and see if there's a problem. The router would not let me with the URL despite trying several times. I contacted Plusnet who recognized, I had a problem and offered to restart the router that has not worked. Then, they suggested a factory reset by putting a PIN in the reset hole at the back and connecting a cable between your laptop and the router back my ID and password.   It could be purely coincidental... something could have been wrong with your router as you did the update for BB. Or, it could have been caused by the BB... There are bugs in some of the oldest levels of BB10 OS that caused strange problems for people on their WiFi connections.   Hmmm Strange that link both will tell you that you are later AND also download an update. Strange.

  Personally, NEVER above the Air software update .the are a few suggestions for restore you your device from this situation:

  There are two methods for recovering for you to try:

  One:

  • Open Blackberry Desktop Software & connect your device with the PC using the USB cable, without inserting the battery.
  • You have three Retry option, update or cancel, and then click Update.
  • Once it is at the stage of the "initialization of pocket" update, then insert the batteries.
  • If this does not work, and you get stuck on the safeguarding of social data feeds, go to the second method below.

  Second:

  I have updated my BB pone via wifi to my office. The OS 10.2.1 is surprisingly fluid and modern (hd been an android user before that).
  I now get the options to choose wifi for large data downloads or mobile network. I guess that I just needed the OS update for this option to display.

  Where you are now is the list of programs that you downloaded before available for your phone, a program you have on your PlayBook are also available for the Z10, and are program as a basic program and they will be put back up as soon as you make an update with the phone
