Speaker blackBerry Smartphones answers each call

Whenever I get a call and press the talk button on my phone's speakerphone for 5 seconds and then it returns to normal. Is there something I can do to fix this? I had this phone for several months and it happened more than a day now.

Hi and welcome to the forums!

No data will be lost when you do the following: remove the battery while the device is activated.

Remplacer replace after one minute, let the device reboot 1-3 minutes, see if the problem is corrected.

Thank you

    Hello philipadam,

Welcome to the community of BlackBerry Support Forums.

In this case, I would recommend wiping the BlackBerry smartphone. To do this, we would need to back up the BlackBerry smartphone. Please open the BlackBerry Desktop Manager and connect your BlackBerry smartphone. Click the backup and restore button, and select Save. Note the location where the backup is saved will allow us to access later to restore the BlackBerry smart phone.

Once saved, please follow the link below to do a wipe of your BlackBerry smartphone security.

Test the BlackBerry smart phone and do a selective restore as described below.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Bluetooth and Caller ID

    Hi all!

New to the forum and there seems to be a lot of information to absorb around here.  I searched for a while, without success, an answer to the following question:

Any BlackBerry smartphones (Bold, Tour, Cure, etc.) send two contact person AND number via bluetooth caller ID info or just the phone number?

I'm playing with a Gigaset One / XLink Bluetooth gateway for home phones and that the number is going on the wireless phone, even if the name is known and displayed on my phone.  The manufacturer said that not all phones will send the name even if it is stored.

So, I'm trying to understand if the BlackBerry 9000 "BOLD" does not send name, gateway does not pass along or cordless phone is not read it.

Any help or information relating to the identification of the appellant via bluetooth would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you.

Well, it seems that only the BlackBerry phones send only the number and not the name when it comes to Bluetooth caller ID information.  Even if you have contacts stored in your phone, and it comes up with a name and a number, only the number will be sent to the Bluetooth device.

I received an email from XLink, indicating as they do know that the MotoRokr and iPhone (no specified people) actually don't send name and number calling info ID via Bluetooth, but BlackBerry does not.  I would check this info before I bet on it if.

So, if you plan to use a Bluetooth compatible device to read or make the ID information calling pass of your BlackBerry terminal (telephone wireless, hands-free system, etc.) certainly has enough space to hold all of your contacts that you will get only the Caller ID names for numbers stored in the terminal.

In addition, you do not want to look for one who can read contacts via Bluetooth from your mobile/smartphone specific rather than spending hours entering all contacts by hand.

My headache started when I bought a Gigaset One / Xlink Cellular Gateway and has not obtained the names of the caller ID on the AT & T wireless phone.  Many cordless phones have only a directory number 50 which is not sufficient.  This phone has replaced by TL92270 of AT & T that indicates it can match and 1500 charge contacts of 4 cell phones (Yes, 6000 in total).  That should be enough... :-)

  • Keyboard of blackBerry Smartphone accessing during calls that I do

I just got my Blackberry Storm yesterday because my Palm LifeDrive (which I liked) has a cracked screen and I wanted to migrate to an integrated phone/PDA solution.  My previous phone was a LG Dare I loved also.  It's just for the context.  Problem: when I call I want the pad to display by default.  It is heavy to go button options and then try to press the option "Show keyboard" during a call.  One of the default options that displays for "Speaker" when I make a call is annoying more useful because I accidentally turned on the speakerphone during a call several times.  Is there a way to change these options?  I searched these forums and the web, but couldn't find any doubt even closer, if I used probably just the wrong search terms.  Thanks for any help in this sense - I don't really like most of the things on this phone and read these forums helped me already.

When phone mode, there is a small keyboard at the bottom left icon - you can press that instead of having to hit BBmenu > keyboard.  But apart from that, I don't think there is a way to have the keyboard default upward.

As speaker, you should study an application similar to TalkLock or StormSlider they lock the screen during calls preventing the presses of the screen.

  • BlackBerry smartphones may not call, even texts

    Hey geniuses BlackBerry,.

I scoured the forums and can't seem to find a situation like mine, so that's.  I will try to be as accurate as possible.  I have a 8100 Pearl who is suddenly not spend or receive phone calls.  I did some 'new' things today with him then maybe one of them triggered it.

I tried to connect my Pearl to my computer with a USB cable to access a few pictures on it for the first time today.  I realized that I didn't have a media card, so I thought that I could access it in the Desktop Manager, but unfortunately my computer does not recognize that I had plugged my Pearl.  He did, however, continue to make those computers grateful noises do when a disc is inserted and removed.  The noises that happened over and over again.  Then, the best part: my computer screen went blue and said (I don't remember Word for Word) there was a kind of "software bug" we found who was related to the BlackBerry device and had to do a memory dump.  The computer fine and somehow, nothing is lost.

I only did texts on my phone today so I have no way of knowing if I had the ability to the appellant when I woke up this morning.  I had call capacity last night, however.  A friend tried to call me and texted me that he kept getting an "error message" whenever it did, at the moment, I can still send and receive texts.  When I try to make a call about 2 seconds ago from this light, background noise of static-y connection, then it disconnects; I get no messages telling me that there was an error or anything else.  He ran an analysis of security a few times after that I put the battery and card SIM that doesn't happen when I turn on my phone normally, so I don't know if this is notable or if this happens usually when the card or the battery came out and replaced.

I seem to not have adequate (3 bars), there is no red "SOS" on the screen and the wireless is turned on.  When I got the phone I had the problem with "SOS" signal, but have not had anything since then; It has been a few years since that happened.

I have removed and reinserted my SIM card, removed my battery for 30 seconds and reinserted and tried to go through the menu 'Options' to try to discern if it is not apparent that I turned off or on low (I had no idea what I was doing).  I'm at the point where I am ready to start sacrificing things to the gods of BlackBerry to get my calls abilities restored, so if there is someone who can offer me a solution less violent I would be very happy.  Also, if you have an idea about what happened with my Blue's computer that's cool too, but I'm more concerned about the problem by calling.

    Thank you

    Casey

Hi Casey and welcome to the forums,

Since you have already reset your handset to reinsert the battery.  I would first of all to distinguish whether it's your card SIM or Blackberry problem.

You can put your Blackberry SIM in another phone, for example Nokia, to ensure you can make and receive calls to exclude, it is a card sim or network problem.  If you can not make calls on your Nokia phone, simply contact your carrier to find out why, could be they banned your access or sim error of voice call.

If your sim card is very good, there are two possibilities

    1. If you use your blackberry with BES, your COMPUTER administrator can have banned users to voice calls, check with him or her, or compare it with other users of blackberry with the same strategy (BB, go to > options > security options > and check the name of COMPUTER policy with colleagues who can make calls)

    2. problem with your blackberry software problem, I suggest you to recharge or upgrade your device software.  I noticed that you mentioned that your PC is unable to detect your device properly, please follow this KB to reload the software http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/microsites/search.do?cmd=displayKC&docType=kc&externalId=KB10144

  • Speaker blackBerry Smartphones starts automatically on certain calls

For the reasons that I can't explain, the speaker turns on automatically when my wife calls for about 5 seconds and then returns to the normal mode.  I have absolutely no idea how this 'feature' has been enabled.

I can't find this option in the profiles/edit function.  I have an exception for my wife - and I am sure that the speaker phone option must be associated with this exception... but I know not where/how to turn off.

My phone is running V4.6.1.83, the Platform 3.0.0.41, Curve 8350i

    Thank you

    Welcome to the kjbrand forums

I don't know if you tried, but when your phone starts to 'Act' always try a battery pull first:
    1. remove the battery while the phone is turned on
    2. wait a few seconds before inserting it again
    3. wait for the long end of the boot process (takes a few minutes usually)

This clears most of the software problems that occur on the BlackBerry from time to time. You can also use Quickpull, a free application that simulates a battery pull without removing the battery: http://software.crackberry.com/product.asp?id=27660
A battery pull gets lost when using the applications memory and clears minor software errors that creep over time. The blackberry is running an operating system just like your PC is running windows and battery pull is the equivalent of a reboot / restart your computer.

There should be no reason why the phone should go to the speaker on its own, and it sounds like a software problem. I hope that suits him!

  • How to make speaker blackBerry smartphones

I know it's a basic, but I can't work on how to spend the Blaxkberry Pearl 9105 to the speaker.  Any help please.  Bob

During a phone call, if you press the BlackBerry menu button, you can see the choice of speaker.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones not appearing caller ID is not on outgoing calls

When I make calls from my blackberry pearl 8100 private number appears. I've pressed the green button/options/general options and 'restrict my identity' on 'No' and he always appears as numbers private when I call other people.

    Hello

I think you should address this with your carrier. If she had never ever outgoing ID, he put in service only

way. No parameters on the BB will change that.

    BlackBerry 8520

    Laurie

Yup - it turns out you're right.

Finally got through Orange which are source of origin of the phone. They say it's on the IMEI blacklist.

Well - that'll teach me (and I hope others here) to buy a phone on Ebay. :-)

  • BlackBerry Smartphones problems receiving calls on my new Blackberry Curve 8520

My new Blackberry curve is not receive calls. I tried to take the battery out, connect to the orange network and change the profiles manually. any help would be appreciated.

    Thank you, Caroline.

    Hello!

    I suggest the following:

    (1) registry HRT

    • Homescreen > Options > Advanced Options > host Routing Table > BBKey (it matter little what line is current) > sign up now

    (2) Service reference books

    • KB02830 Send the directories for the BlackBerry Internet Service

    (3) restart to take batt

    • Each time a random strange behavior or slow creeps, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes. See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

I hope that will move things again for you! If this isn't the case, then I suggest that contact your operator voice services are controlled by them.

  • BlackBerry smartphones cannot receive calls or to unlock texts after ebay

I have a Blackberry 9500 Storm locked to Vodafone and recently bought an unlock code on Ebay to use on my Orange sim card.  After having followed the steps to unlocking the phone accepted the orange sim and shows "safety".  But I can't use the phone to make and receive calls and texts.  I checked network settings and they show in orange.  I contacted the ebay seller, but they just said SIM active check - that it is.  Anyone got the answer?

    Thank you

    Kate

I tried another sim Orange and the same problem - two sims work fine in other phones btw.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones for incoming calls caller ID displaying DO NOT name of contacts (phone number only views)

Whenever I receive an incoming call, the caller ID shows that the phone #, even when I have that number corresponded to a contact.  Since I have not much phone # stored s, I have no idea it's someone I know.  However, the contact name appears in the diary of appeal, but not on the initial display of incoming call.  How can I get caller ID to recognize and display the name of the contact with the phone #? Any help would be greatly appreciated!  (I have the blackberry 8520)

Hello and welcome to the Forums of Support BlackBerry.com.

It could be one of the three solutions... Try these:

    1. make sure that you set your own country code to the Phone Dialer screen > Options > smart dialing.
Set your country code in this format: "+ xx" where xx = country code. Some countries have two or three-digit country Codes. Do not place not the '+' in the entrance of your contact.
    * In the United States, the value of this country as '+ 1' Code and place your local area code in the appropriate box (this normally the default setting in a new BB).

    2. in the same place, change the length of National number for the number of digits corresponding to your country (since some countries have less than 10 as that set by default in the BB). Check out the total numbers, less country code. Do not place not the '+' in the entrance of your contact.
    * For example, some countries have a total number to 8 (more than 3 for the country code). You must enter '8 '.

    3. you probably have "Content Protection" located on your address book.
Look at the Options > Security > General settings. Scroll down to the content Protection > include addresses = no

The flame of my BB, cutting its call after every 1 hour with the error message: forbidden outgoing calls (8 CC). except the active calls, isn't she the netwrk...?

    Hey pemba.

Welcome to the community of BlackBerry Support Forums.

    Thanks for the question.

I would first check to see if you are using the latest version of the software of your network service provider.  Go to www.blackberry.com/update or open BlackBerry Desktop Software.  If the software is up to date, I would check with your provider network for more investigations.

Let me know if you have any questions.

    See you soon.
