  Here is my system info:

  OptiPlex 390 small footprint

  Windows 7 64 bit

  Intel Chipset H61

  Intel HD 2000 (with HDMI and VGA) graphics card

  Map of AMD Radeon 6350 512 MB video (with 2 DVI splitter)

  I need to connect 1) HD TV with the sound via HDMI and 2) monitor via VGA to this system (no sound).  I did a lot of research on the Internet but can't find a definitive answer if my system will support both views.  Can anyone confirm if one of the three options below does not work, or any other ideas?

  Option 1: remove AMD card, connect the HDMI TV, connect the VGA monitor.  I've seen conflicting information if the HDMI and VGA ports can be connected at the same time.

  Option 2: Connect TV: dispatcher--> DVI HDMI adapter DVI-->--> TV, monitor connect a HDMI cable: dispatcher DVI DVI VGA adapter--> monitor-->.  It should work, but if someone can confirm if the AMD Radeon 6350 supports audio through DVI to TV?

  3rd possibility: buy another video with HDMI and VGA card.  I'd rather not spend more money... I have six systems to connect!

  Hi Ozone72,

  Intel HD Graphics 2000 which was shipped with OptiPlex 390 supports two independent screens. Which means that you can connect TV for VGA and HDMI monitor, so that AMD card must be removed from the computer.

• OptiPlex 390 - cannot uninstall Dell system detects

  I am running Windows 7 Professional 32 Bit on an OptiPlex 390. I'm having withdrawal issues Dell system detect. According to the Panel of configuration/programs and features, DSD version 5.5.0.19 and DSD-1 version 5.14.0.9 have been installed on my system on 16/02/2015. 2/18, I disabled the DSD using msconfig from run every time you start. 28/2, I tried to uninstall by using the control panel configuration/programs and features. I got a popup saying "an error has occurred all trying to uninstall Detect Dell system. It may have already been uninstalled. You want to remove in the list of features and programs? "I clicked Yes, and received this message,"you don't have sufficient access to remove Dell system detection programs and features list. Contact your system administrator. "When I connect via the administrator account, DSD and DSD-1 are not appear in programs and features list.

  I know that DSD and DSD-1 have not been uninstalled from my system. I see a DellSystemDetect.exe running in the Task Manager, although I disabled it in msconfig. It appears as the network in my firewall activity, although only RSD-1 version 5.14.0.9 is indicated as having been active. The DSD icon appears in Control Panel/Notification area icons.

  How can I get rid of this? I guess I could just to deny access to the network through the firewall, but it is not a very clean solution. I want to go! Any suggestions on how to get rid of this beast? Thanks for your help.

  You should be able to appropriate all the files belonged to the origiynal account that you just created.  You will need to log on as an administrator and grant ownership to the new account.  Once your other has the property, you can remove the old one.

  Bookmarks can be exported to a file and then imported into the new account.

  I would like to know why the graphics card is not detected in my PC.

  And the CPU has

  Intel I3, 6 GB ram

  -Installed the gpu

  -Start windows built in graphics

  -installation of the driver fails two albums and the latest drivers downloaded from Nvidia or Palit saying there are no devices detected installing

  -checked the BIOS and I saw that pci slot where my g-card displayed an [empty]

  -traveled around the bios by any disabling of options for my integrated in the card or anything... any

  -checked around dell.com and saw that nvidia geforce 210 cards are compatible with my pc model exactly, even if this compatible graphics card has been a model of Evga, not a model from Palit.

  -which is where I started scratching my head

  Is there other details, that I need to provide?

  The 210 was a terrible GT card when it comes to compatibility.  Brand can also make a difference. Given that the GT 210 is an old map of the series, I would say get a GT 610 rather like this one HERE and turning the GT 210.  The EVGA TG 610 is also mentioned as being compatible with the Optiplex 390 DT.  I assume that you bought a PCI Express X 16 video card and not a PCI card, correct?

  The law firm I support plans on adding help 'temp' during a recent case and add several good jobs markets for this effort. Our local Microcenter (Denver) a lot of things on a lot of desktop Optiplex 390 SFF "refurb", and it's MY contention that one of the best things to do during the duration, is to equip each of the units 'up' for review with an SSD just as inexpensive, to maximize the performance and "value".  My question on this forum: CAN the Optiplex 390 "correctly" support an SSD (IE: ability to AHCI BIOs)? Otherwise, I can 'opt' for an Optiplex GX790 of even inexpensive, but they are available only in very limited numbers of our Microcenter, as well, my curiosity re: the Opti390 and an SSD.

  The 390 has Intel Express Chipset Sata 2.0 H61

  It does not support the Sata 3.0.

  Its core I3 or Core I5

  SSD will work SATA 2-speed and I don't know about Player settings in the bios.

  AHCI and advanced format requires F6 drivers for windows 7 and below.

  A bus adapter host as a 600 x 1 rocket series card you would get ahci sata 3.

  I had the great help going here so here a week ago. I've updated my Optiplex 390 with a new power supply (750 watts), use a graphics card GE Force 650 and updated on day of memory from 4-8.  Is there an upgrade for my processor? My camera is a regular tour of MT not a small form, 9 months with win 7 64 bit. I'm kinda a newbie but willing to learn. Thanks in advance for any input :) I think that the processor is an intel standard 3.10 ghz so my memories are good...

  • Intel Dual Core i3-2100 / 3.10 GHz, 3 M

  Choose any of the first three CPUs since the system already uses an Intel Dual Core i3-2100 / 3.10 GHz, 3 m.

  The front USB ports refuse to work (the back ones that work very well)

  I tried upgrading the BIOS, then the chipset, but still no luck.

  Any ideas?

  Set to refuse to work.  The front ports allow only 100ma of power for keyboards and mice. Need power 500ma USB flash drives.

  Façade cable may be broken or the ports themselves perhaps.

  HOWEVER, this model and many other dells can disable various ports in the bios.

  I'm at my wits end. Turned on my Optiplex 390 a few days ago and found that my keybord or my mouse was working. I tried all the usb ports on the front and back. When I plug inn the keybord the numlock, capslock and scroll lock lights upp for half a second, but it was not detected.

  I can't get into the bios. as my keyboard is not detected at all. start or windows or linux or back or Freedos.

  My Bios is A01. Is trying to update, but you know no keyboard, I tried to reset the bios by the rider and take out the battery for a few hours. to no awail.

  Manual says that the 390 office has an intrusion switch. See the manual for the location of the connection on the motherboard and the trace of wire to the switch.

  Are you sure that you have disabled the BIOS as speed tells you how?

  You will have to strip to bare essentials, but more like the failure of the motherboard.

  No problem.  It seems that they are connected by a standard 3.5 mm plug.  So, you need speakers who have this type of connector.  It is difficult to know what stakeholders will work.  I suggest you buy some of the local products and try to ensure that they work properly.

  The OptiPlex 9020 MT supports / requires Dell exclusive 290w, a standard ATX power supply with connectors main motherboard 20/24 pin for power are not compatible, there is no details compatible power supplies available.

  You will need to contact Dell spare parts @ 1-800-357-3355 sales team, to a replacement unit.
