Spectrum 360 core i5 HP: e ghost?

I got my spectrum in April 2015. Generally, I love him, but have questions if anyone of you a few problems:

(1) sometimes, I get an 'e' ghost appearing. Looks like the keyboard detects my fingers hovering above it and displays an 'e' on the screen. It happens out of the blue when I type a word long document or an e-mail.

(2) or, sometimes, although I can't reproduce, and it was totally random, the left arrow button shows a long series of 'e's.   And it's usually the 'e '.

Anyone else with similar experiences?  is this a fixable problem?

Thank you!

Hi there @PL3,

I suggest you contact HP. You just got this laptop from HP spectrum in April. In General, the HP products have a one year factory warranty. • Spectrum x 360: what SD speed class card will be the spectrum 360 HP support?

    Hi all

I want to buy a SD card 64 GB (Class 10 SDXC and UHS I or II), but I want to be sure, it corresponds to the speed class that supports the spectrum 360 (model 2016 skylake). The manuals do not specify it.

  • Ghost 360: bought new spectrum 360 and active active pen stylus

I just bought the spectrum of the 360 HP (15-inch screen) with 16 GB and I7 process. I bought the assets assets stylus pen. Indications that you simply put the pen on the screen tap or tap and it will start working. Well, he didn't. I googled all, the driver is installed, I calibrated the screen. My finger is working to write, but the pen does nothing.

What can I do to trouble shoot the issue? Yes, until someone thinks I'm a total jerk, I bought a new battery.

    Hi @Bzeeb,

  • Spectrum 360: wifi connection very erratic on new spectrum 360

I bought a Lenovo - Yoga 3 Pro 2-in-1 13.3 "laptop touchscreen - Intel Core M - 8 GB - 256GB Solid State Drive - silver and I loved it. The problem was when I was out of my house, I get a bar or lose internet connetion. Other mobile home do not have a problem connecting to the internet. Happened to a fine is a problrm that seems to affect Lenovo laptops.

Given that I hated return this impressive to have machine this is a no-go. In any case looking for another solid state rocket I decided (based on reviews) buy HP spectra.

    HP - Spectrum x 360 2-in-1 13.3 "laptop touch screen - Intel Core i7 - 8 GB memory - 256 GB Solid State Drive

From the first day I had real problems of connection points critical wi - fi locations. At home their seems to be no problem, but at Starbucks, work and other places is hit or miss. Sometimes, it will connect after that several attempts like power off and then on. Best Buy tried to tweek it by removing something?

When I called HP I was routed to the India (I think) and I tried my best to understand the person on the phone but he spoke a strange language! Evertime I would like to ask a question or make a suggestion as to what I thought, maybe that's the problem, he put me on hold and have to ask someone to the answer. We went back - and - forth with my questions and sound (please hold on for 2 or 3 minutes, I need to ask someone) for almost an hour. His answer would be to check the router, duh my router at home works fine and I'm not having this problem with other laptops. It is everplace else. I asked if I should check each router of all the places I visit. Have you tried to reboot your PC? Really?

From me with little computer experience so it was clear that this person had NO experience in the computer! HP let me talk with an EXPERT or at least someone who is compassionate. I had no choice but to hang on.

Calling new HP at Best Buy and others could not understand the problem. I was even once connected to the India but this time, a woman with a strong accent. Apparently, she looked at my previous complaints that I was trying to explain the problems I've always had. Before I could say anything, that she said, you don't have a problem with Wi - Fi, you have a problem from router then to call the router manafacture. I said that I was on my place of work and that my another PC Asus laptop and other portable of peoples are not having problems. She would not listen to reason and said at this time you do not have a problem then call the manafacture burped and it will solve your connection problem! This does not work HP!

I and others who have tried to solve this PC. I tried a system restore to the factory, (it is a joy to have to reload all my programs. I have down loaded drivers and a lot more in fact, I tried everything you read on the forms of HP and nothing!

I paid $1150,00 plus tax for this PC and now will have to take a loss and sell because I can't afford to not have a working pc. I'm done trying to fix this and will not pay to have a new HP PC fixed!

I have the x 360 as well, different model

The way I solved it my network problems (and bluetooth) was to buy an adapter USB Bluetooth Asus on Amazon about $19.00 and an adapter USB 802.11b/g/n/ac Realtek (Premiertek) for about $20.00.

I'm done buying HP because I buy the equipment to make it usable. By the way, don't ask me how, but having a 802.11 USB card operation seems to make everything more quickly, or maybe it's turning off the integrated network adapter which makes the computer work better.

Bottom line: more pain less free fix is to get the USB adapter. I can't treat their speaking Erdu of technical support, it's a shame, HP leaves no American jobs in their tech support: another reason to fuck off HP.

  • HP 360 x spectrum: spectrum 360 headphone jack x: CTIA or OMTP?

    Hi @ToniBord,

Please become a member of the HP's Support Forums. I understand that you have a question about the audio port. I'll be happy to help you.

HP uses the current standard for audio ports, CTIA.

  • Spectrum 360: Cable ethernet for spectrum 360 connection?

Nobody knows what the best approach for wired ethernet is on these laptops?  I did not know that they do not have an ethernet jack, my son is off to College with a spectrum of 360.  Looks like they recommend an adapter, but I don't know if it's via the HDMI or USB? And then, what size is the USB?

    Any help would be appreciated!

    Jeff

USB 3.0 and USB 2.0 are the same size and are backward compatible.

USB 3.0 ports are blue or have at least the symbol (super speed)

    Hello

    Try the following.

Hold down the Windows key and press R

In the run box, type regedit and press enter

In the registry editor, navigate to the following

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Synaptics\SynTP\Install

Inside, look for a key named DeleteUserSettingsOnUpgrade

If it is present, right click on the key and select Edit

Set the field data of the value 0 (zero) , and then click Ok.

    Close the registry editor.

Make the Synaptics setting changes you need in the usual way and save them, and then check if they are now kept after a reboot.

    Kind regards

  • Spectrum 360: Display driver stopped responding and recovered - spectrum 360

Just in case someone is looking for a (kind of) solution to this problem:

    Location:

-New spectrum x 360, came loaded with Windows 10. All updates (Windows and Intel and HP) made.

-When you scroll websites with Firefox, the computer hangs for about 5 seconds, you get the message "display driver stopped responding and has recovered. Display driver intel HD Graphics Drivers for Windows 8 (R) answers more and was successfully'

-Open the browser windows are black, but can be restored by reducing to a minimum then them openeing again

-Sometimes on a variety of Web sites. EBay seems one need to reproduce, but this can be linked to the amount of scrolling rather than any specific web content. Scroll through the eBay ads I get it about every thirty seconds

I guess it's a driver problem, possibly wait a version 10 of Windows. The solution for now is to use the browser of Microsoft Edge.

In Firefox, go to options, then Advanced tab then general uncheck the use hardware acceleration

  • HP spectrum 360: recovery disk limit

I created a recovery disc for my new PC spectrum on a map more than necessary (128 GB) SSD because I read in the HP Recovery Manager that I could always use the remaining space. The card became limited to 32 GB, so a lot of (expensive) space is lost.  Is there a way to go back, delete these files and create a new recovery on a smaller USB? Recovery Manager software does not allow (say I can do it only once)? Thanks for you advice!

There is no way to erase and restore the recovery on another flash drive. You prefer hope would be to find a program that allows you to clone flash to another player. It is a delicate process and does not always lead to a success-may not be bootable. I would like to test it before deleting the original or you'll be left to order a new HP. think it's $46 HP.

ImageUSB sounds promising or maybe Clonezilla:

  • spectrum 360: no sound after windows update

    Hello

As a result of an update to windows 10 for the anniversary edition, I had problems with the sound.

It says the audio device not detected.  I uninstalled the audio drivers and reinstalled them and it will work, but after restarting the computer, it gives the same error.  Sometimes a reboot it will work again, otherwise have to reinstall again.

I couldn't run constantly, so I restored windows on the previous generation and it works well again.

Anyone had this problem or could fix?

    Thank you

    Thank you.

I ended up doing something like that.  I uninstalled the program conexant himself and installed an older driver (9.0.57.0), and so far it has worked.  I got the driver from the hp support page.

The new driver worked until a reboot, then had to be reinstalled again.

    I thank once again.

  • Spectrum 360: battery drain

I notice that my drains battery very fast when I turn the laptop off the coast and don't turn it back on for several days. Often, when I come back, my battery is at "0%".

That night in the life of the battery?

    Leave it plugged could cause.

By "internet connection", do you mean a USB wifi dongle any?

Do you mean a CAT5 to the usb dongle? My current loan of HP product was shipped with one of these.

Check the power options to ensure that the port turns off when the laptop is turned off.

I'm not saying that. The battery drains up to 0% will not damage it.  I'm just surprised that it happens.
