Speech and cisco Unity Connection connect
Hi all, I've read that speech Connect is available for Cisco Unity Connection Version 7.1.3 and later versions. I installed CUC7.1.3 and CUCM 7.1.3 and I would like to configure this feature.
If someone have this plase share tips or a document.
Thank you very much
David
Speech Connect is actually integrated in the application of the CUC. There really isn't any special rig or something like you would have with speech Connect for the unit. When you choose ' enable voice ' Manager directory or AA and you search by name, which is essentially the engine speech connect to work. " If the user has a registered name, you will hear him play. If this isn't the case, YOUSSOUF (AutoAttendant activated by speech) will deliver the names for you.

Difference between Csico and Cisco Unity Connection unit
What are the main differences between Cisco Unity and Cisco Unity Connection (version 7)
as: 1. in Cisco Unity servers are active - failover Mode and about unity, the servers are in active-active mode
2 Cisco Unity, knows about unity and unified messaging, integrated messaging
What is the major difference between Unified Messaging and integrated messaging?
Please provide some points of difference between the two...
This may well be true today, but the gap could soon close... otherwise disappear. Cisco is currently in EFT (field-tested at the beginning) or testing "beta" for the connection of the Unit 8.5 (1), which aims to add features of Unified Messaging Unit connection using WebDav for Exchange 2003 and Exchange Web Services (EWS) for Exchange 2007/2010. Just a nugget to think when you consider the timing of your client to install and what platform would be best suited to most environments. Take a look at this blog for more information/thoughts:

Altered in Cisco Unity Connection and cancelled permits NTP server
I use Cisco Unity Connection 8.6.1 and cancelled my Inbox licenses. A few days ago I noticed that the timestamp of the voicemails was different from what said our CUCM so immediately, I assume that the NTP servers were different. I was correct and made the change on our server CUC. I came back to add another user, a few days later and was motivated that I didn't have enough licenses. After researching on it after the fact, it seems that this happened because the value of NTP server is one of the values that cannot change with the current license, and I'm in a State of the trial for 30 days (24 days left now). Now my problem is that I don't remember what would replace this NTP server. How can I fix this problem?
Hi William,.
I guess the connection of the unit is installed on the virtual machine and therefore license MAC is here
You can get the rehost license by launching the mail to [email protected] / * /

Cisco Unity Connection deployment
IM deploy CISCO 1.X for one site unit connection. The partition & call search are created on 4.1 CM. Both phones are added to this partition on the call manager for a local test (telephone2 telephone1 - to-).
On Voice Profile fighter pilot number is 2010 and the DN of departure for the voice port is 3000. I have configured the phone 1 extension (2015) and telephone 2 (2011) on the Cisco Unity connection.
when im 2010 (pilot number) im getting the busy tone or the phones calling each other it keep humming without leaving numbering MWI
You can feed me for cisco unity connecton single site deployment.
Kind regards
What are the numbers that you actually assigned to the ports of voicemail? Have you created a list of hunting that indicates the number of driver? Go to the port of voicemail list and try to call one of the ports directly? Unity connection answers?

Speech for Cisco Unity 7 server
I'm currently developing a speech recognition server for use with Cisco Unity 7 to provide functions of voice command for callers/users.
From what I've read that the server can be deployed on the server Cisco Unity itself either as a standalone. What is the most common and recommended option?
If it is a stand-alone server, I guess that it must also be a member of the AD domain server?
Thank you in advance!
-rya
Speech recognition is used only when subscribers dial to interact with the voicemail system (check voicemail and options to the breast). It does not allow external callers to interact with managers to call.
Now you're talking about which allows outside callers can call and tell a person's name and may be transferred to that person.
This is done by another product called 'speech Connect'. This would be installed on a separate server.
This product is also included with Connection "unit".

Need to CUC automatically import users and assign a certain user or role model if they are added to a specific security group. (These are the help desk users). Username admin accounts they will use to sign in CUC differs from that there windows account that is linked to their profile of voicemail.
Current - now we must import new recruits and assign the correct model
Want - when a user is added to a security group in AD, so when CUC doing his nightly sync, it automatically import user and assign a preconfigured for the account and all user model is automatic and I have never import it back these users.
At the present time the course help desk users are already imported via LDAP and have the role that was.
Suggestions?
Not something that the UCA can do out of the box.
The UCC does not offer, is to do the LDAP synchronization and once they are in CUC, to import, choose the model.

Reset the Cisco Unity Connection 7.1 Application GUI password?
Hello
As we know about unity based on linux 7.1 there are three passwords:-platfrom-password administrator password of security between the nodes and the user of the Application password that allow us access to the GUI to configure users, the voice messaging ports... etc.
Our problem that we change the password user request and forget about us, so we are not able to do any configuration.
Is any configuration to reset this password...
Any ideas...
Thank you very much.
Padma,
Good fishing. CUC has its own set of CLI commands for that task. My orders are for the CUCM, but they would have driven you by recourse to the '?

Cisco Unity Connection - assign 2 records to an system call handler
Hi all
We have a request from a customer with respect to the following:
During the week (Mon - Fri) from 19:00 to 07:00, a recording informing that the office is closed should be played when incoming call reach extension 1234.
During the weekend (Friday 19:00 - Fri 07:00), another record should be played notifying when an incoming call to 1234 is done.
Unfortunately, it seems that only record under the closed greeting can be configured for active planning.
Is there a solution even set up on CUC?
Thank you and best regards,
Pascal
To do this, you can set up routing of calls of 'Time of Day' in CUCM with a system more in CUC call handler, it will work perfectly.

Cisco Unity Connection 9.1.2 to CUC 10.5.2 upgrade
Hello
Last weekend I was upgrade the application BE6K to 10.5. (2) in the upgrade process I had to use the image
CUC 10.5.1 (Bootable) to start the initialization and apply the patch to upgrade to version 10.5. () 2) iso for the upgrade has been recognized and all files have download SFTP server. During the installation process of new files (after decompression of the files), I received the following in the form error message. FATAL:Could not load /lib/modules/2.6.32-431.20.3.e16.x86_64/modules.dep:no such file or directory
Someone knows something like that?
Best regards

This seems to be a common problem, you will probably need to get your hands on fresh installation media 10.5 (2) for this.

Integration of Cisco Unity Connection to my subscribers of CUCM
Hi all
I'm trying to integrate my server CUC to two subscribers CUCMs.
The editor has an exsisting integration using a single SIP trunk between itself and the server of the CUC.
I am trying to get my head around how best to add two subscribers.
I should only add subscribers as secondary hosts tab telephone systems CUC or do I configure separate circuits and the ports from subscribers to the CUC Server?
I am running version 8.0 on CUCM servers and the server of the CUC and the existing integration is SIP based.
I have spare ports allowed for the server of the CUC.
Any help is very appreciated.
Kind regards
Amanda Lalli-Cafini
In addition to the excellent post by Rob (+ 5), you must ensure that the Group of CUCM applied to the basins of the trunk SIP device includes all these Subs or better yet is checked "Run on all nodes" on SIP trunk and the list of route if you use a recent version of CUCM, i.e. 8.5 or newer.

Unity connection 8.6 Migration to 11 with CUCM 8.0
Due to the right I'm going to intend a Migration of 8.6 connection unit to 11.0 of connection of the unit before I can improve CUCM. I am sure that the answer is Yes, but would there be problems running 11.0 of connection of the unit with CUCM 8.0.
Nothing fancy on the face of connection of the unit, no unified messaging ect.
New UC 11.0 should just registered the EPSC ports?
Thank you
Dan
Looks like you need at least version 8.5 for the SCCP and SIP integration CUCM to be supported. Check the compatibility of connection of the unit guide below.

Unity connection 7.1 email notification of voicemail
I'm running the unit connection v7.1 and trying to provide my users with the following solution:
(1) they get notified by e-mail when they receive a voice message.
(2) the email contains information about the phone number and name (if it is available through AD) of who called.
(3) they have a method to listen to the voicemail of their email.
(4) the email cannot contain a voicemail .wav file, or have another method for a user to record voice messages in the form of .wav file.
(5) ideally, the email will contain a link which broadcasts voice messages, or who takes the user directly to their voicemail box Cisco Unity Connection.
I was able to successfully get the system to send a notification email with the phone number & name (as appropriate via AD).
I was able to get the system to include a link in the email, but the link directs the user to the personal Communication Assistant homepage where the user needs to log, and then click the appropriate link to access their Inbox. Is there a way to circumvent the obligation for the user to log on and also to send them a link directly to their voicemail box?
If not, is it possible to configure the system to send a link that could listen to the specific message to a particular email notified their?
I am open to the 3rd party add-ons for the solution.
The only solution I can think is to build a solution in which the email is sent to an application of custom software that interacts with the Cisco equipment & sends the e-mail to the end-user. It's not ideal.
Thanks for the thoughts you can provide!
Develop my comment. I think that there is a major holdup is that:
"(5) ideally, the email will contain a link which broadcasts voice messages, or who takes the user directly to their voicemail Cisco Unity Connection Inbox...
Is there a way to circumvent the obligation for the user to log on and also to send them a link directly to their voicemail box? »
SSO (single sign - on) is a problem because there may be several areas, you want this to apply to: for example, are you talking about SMTP to only internal, company email address? You want to extend this to an external address?
Technically, there is the IMAP (integrated messaging) solution which offers the possibility to get voicemail into email but, again-, this conflict without obligation your attachment or WAV. You could go with secure messaging, which always has a WAV attachment, but the user must be authenticated to do anything with the message.
You may be able to find something to your liking, but I doubt it will meet all of your initial needs.

Unity connection 8.5 Accessing and purge messages from the user as administrator
Is it possible that an admin I can purge a registered users of voice messages in Unity Connection 8.5 without deleting their account in full and recreate?
Is it also possible using an admin account, I can access a users mailbox and export messages to individual files (.wav, etc.) for purposes of storage/reading/evidence?
Jim
Hi Jim,.
Just as an info... .the unity tools are not 3rd party, but rather built and
support of the Cisco BU's messaging products. My
Guess is that most, if not all are designed/built by Mr. Lindborg itself
and that's probably why they are so important to use. I used this tool a lot
both ends different many without problem
I can't imagine the unit running connection without using this large suite
Tools.
http://www.ciscounitytools.com/sitelist/AllDownloads/AllDownloads.html
In regard to the messages, you can use Web Inbox and
registration as a Save option to save messages in the form of .wav files.
See you soon!

Unable to connect to network WPA2 with Windows 7 64-bit (Intel 4965 and Cisco WUSB600N)
Connect to a WPA2 network seems to be a fairly common problem. Again, I can't be able to find a solution.
OS: Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit
Wireless adapter (s): Intel 4965AGN (integrated into Dell XPSM1330) and Cisco/Linksys WUSB600N
Drivers: latest windows 7 64 bit drivers from the two websites of companies. Intel (v12.4.1.4), Linksys (3.0.10.0)
Network properties: WPA2 enterprise, encryption of the ACS, authentication EAP - P, several types of routers around the world
History: has been able to use the same laptop with Vista32 on this network without any problem
I can not connect to networks non - WPA WPA networks simply not.
When you try to connect to my companies WPA2 network (at any of our locations around the world).
Method #1:
- Select "Other network" in the list of network
- Enter the SSID of the network
- Windows could not connect to the SSID
Method #2- Open network and sharing Center
- Select set up a new connection or network
- Select manually connect to a wireless network
- Select one of my adapters
- Enter the SSID, as WPA2-Enterprise security type, type of encryption like AES, check the boxes to connect automatically and connect even if the network is not broadcasting
- An unexpected error has occurred
Method #3: Try to trick windows- Open network and sharing Center
- Select set up a new connection or network
- Select manually connect to a wireless network
- Select one of my adapters
- Enter the SSID but select an open network
- Adds the network
- Then try to change properties
- WPA2-Enterprise security type
- Set to AES encryption type
- "Choose a network authentication method:" drop-down menu is empty!
- Windows has encountered an error saving the wireless profile. Specific error: the profile has an invalid length field.
I'm pretty desperate for a solution.Kind regardsJohnThere are a few people with Win7 x 64 that cannot connect to WPA2 P/EAP Corporate/business networks and no solution?
Come on, guys, it's the microsoft answers site! someone give me something! I have two asus laptops, both with network cards Intel having this problem on two networks separate enterprise (school).

The problem occurs when you perform a Wizard for easy transfer to a computer that was Symantec Endpoint Protection installed to one without him.
Answer, copypasted:
Inspect the key mentioned above - that is of HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\services\RasMan\PPP\EAP.
In each of the number keys look something like ConfigPathBackup and its corresponding ConfigPath - there are a number of them.
For each, I deleted the original key (e.g., ConfigPath) and restored the original by renaming ConfigPathBackup to ConfigPath
For each of them, the State is now restored to her pre State Symantec - each key pointed to a Symantec location that is no longer present and by restoring the path key backs up everything was fine
