  The must be something wrong with the hardware. Code bilking isn't always the same. The orange light flashes different for different dysfunctions.
  The Toshiba service partner can read this code and then can give you a good answer on the blackout.

  Stupidly, concerned about anxiety I spilled a cup of black coffee warm the upper left corner of the keyboard of my R60e. After a few seconds, that the system went blind anywhere. I disconnected AC and battery and shook what coffee was dripping bottomm especially the side and rear fan vents and shortly after that I opened it via the instructions to change keyboard and all found inside still dry - even below the keyboard - except a few drops of coffee all about fan I still towel dabbed and dried off and closed up. I waited 15 minutes and attached battery and power on button / for half a second the green light flashed battery then nothing more. I did briefly even with ca and even effect.

  I googled of remedies in the case everything is not lost and made a popular but which resulted in pressing the down ten times power button, 1 time per second, then down to more than thirty seconds and a short wait for the system supposedly I guess, not go. I put the R60e side in the case where there is a place deep inside that did get wet not dry to try this when re - set it up again and now work on a backup with Linux Maya R31. Thank God my R60e had an account Copy.com who constantly backs up your files to use to!   Unlike the surprising YouTube Thinkpad dip demos, it took a LOT of sober takes with this key combination to get the system lights, including a false alarm of heart-sinking when it starts and died shortly after Windows has started to start! The left keyboard keys were a bit sticky but my coffee don't have sugar--(que j'ai lu est notoire àles claviers), just equal, but perhaps by tapping on it released a constant position of lower down. It stings my curiosity as to how and what triggers the system to 'only' need of a reset instead of the new motherboard after such a near disaster. Was it recovering from a short or a stuck switch or something else?   What to say; the coffee spilled on the laptop and any fluid is not really good for an internal parts especially for the motherboard.

  I have no idea what part exactly damaged by spilled coffee, but it looks like a part of the motherboard is affected. Perhaps is the electronic power supply defective?

  I think that the laptop needs a verification and don t ask any technicians Nick fans because these guys just talk about possible problems.

  On eBay you can find so many keyboards. Just find one for U500 and it will fit for sure.
