Spread juice on my laptop :(

So yesterday, I ate with my brother and he accidentally spilled her lemonade. Overwhelmed the entire trackpad, she wasn't on anything else because I freaked out and moved before that it's possible. I have it wiped clean and used a slightly damp towel to make sure that it is not sticky. After that, I realized that the trackpad does more click very very healthy. It is now very low, and I don't know what to do because everything is good so far. How can I get the clicking hard sound in the back of the trackpad?

Liquid on a trackpad (more often than otherwise) will result in a replacement.  Sometimes it continues to operate for a period of time.   Cross your fingers, but be prepared.

Have you checked the system preferences > Trackpad > tab point and click > and at the bottom is a box titled "Silent by clicking on.   Was it somehow become checked.   If so, uncheck the box.

  • Pavilion dv6-6135dx: spread juice on laptop and worked fine until I turned off and tried to turn it back on.

Not a lot of common juice but apparently enough hurt my laptop. He flipped on the upper right of the keyboard and I immediately wiped them all and the laptop seemed fine. I turned it off and when I went to use it, it not light. He also made a noise of sizzle on the top of the right side. Help!

The sizzle is probably the sound of your motherboard short-circuit (die). The juice is probably infiltrated gradually down inside and when you applied the still-zap power.

For what it's worth now no matter what time pours on a laptop, it must immediately be put out voltage, battery & power cord removed and the laptop placed upside down for at least 24 hours to evacuate just a little liquid.

  • Spread juice on MacBook Air 13 "2014

I have juice spill on my MacBook Air 13 "model 2014 A1466. MacBook works fine, but when I want to watch YouTube videos it starts to use Paste (but laptop is not hot) and Macbook starts to slow down. Kernel_task is also at this time in the 300 surveillance system. What should I do?

Unfortunately, Mac is not waterproof. You're lucky if it still works after contact with your favorite juice. Usually the devices and water don't mix and water damage are not covered by the warranty. Corrosion has already begun.  You must schedule an appointment of genius at the Apple Store to evaluate the level of damages. They will offer you the best solution.

    Hello

I bouht juice my new laptop and a few he keyboard do not work. Does not work: t, g, f, b, v.

    I sill have my guarantee.

    Hello

Maybe it's a hardware problem, but it is always worth trying the following.

Shut down the laptop, unplug the AC adapter and then remove the battery.  Press and hold the Power button for 30 seconds.  Reinsert the battery and plug in the AC adapter.

Robinet tap away at the key esc that you start the computer to launch the Start Menu, and then select f10 to open the bios menu.  Press f5 to load the default values (sometimes it's f9, but the menu below indicates the correct key), use the arrow keys to select 'Yes' and press ENTER.  Press f10 to save the setting and still use the arrow keys to select 'Yes' and press on enter.

If the above does not correct the problem, and that your laptop is still under warranty, my best advice would be tocontact HP Business Support and arrange for repair

  • Swapped the HARD drive of the Pavilion G6 2264sa with a Pavilion G6 1331sa HARD drive / brightness not wking... !!

    Hello

Hope everyone is well and wonder if anyone can help me. My problem is my daughter's laptop, she is in the middle of the student to College and all of his work is on his laptop which is a:

    HP Pavilion G61331sa/1.6 GHZ AMD Quad-Core A8 - 3520M APU with Dual Radeon 6620 graphics card + 7450 M / 6 GB memory / dedicated graphics video AMD Radeon HD 6620 + 7450 M bi - GPU (1 GB of DDR3 memory) / 750 GB SATA (5400 RPM) HARD drive / running Windows 7.

Unfortunately, my son accidentally spilled juice on the laptop. I quickly took all the preventive measures, turn off the power / battery disassembly / HDD and upsets the laptop. I also left in the closet of broadcast for a few days to dry out, then tried again. It lights up and the power light stays on and the fan works but the caps lock button warning light flashing and the screen remains empty, even when I try to use an external monitor via HDMI connections again the external screen is blank. It seems that most of the spill was on the left side of the keyboard because the keys are very sticky this side. I talked to HP to my problem that the laptop is still under warranty, however as we know that it does not cover accidents, and no, we don't have the coverage of the accident. My daughter is in the middle of exams a solution was needed pronto. It was suggested by HP techy guy to buy the modern equivalent with the same HARD drive and just change the HARD drive and update all the drivers.

    I bought a HP Pavilion G6 2264sa / Intel® Core™ i3 - 2370M / 4GB memory / 750 GB SATA Hard Disk Drive / graphics Intel HD Graphics 3000 (up to 1.65 GB) running windows 8 (64-bit).

I changed the HARD disk as proposed and updated all the drivers. There was a slight problem starting up but just had to go into the BIOS at startup (F1 key) Startup Configuration / settings and do know the Boot from the HDD instead of CD ROM, etc.. The HP Pavilion G6 2264sa started with the G6 1331sa HARD drive and works very well. My daughter doesn't have to worry about spending time to find away around a new laptop and windows 8. everything is just where she knows that it is.

The only problem I have is the brightness (f2 and f3) doesn't seem to work and the screen is very bright degree to cause a headache. I have uninstalled and installed the graphics drivers but still no control over brightness...!

Any ideas where I have gone wrong?

Your suggestions and ideas will be very well received and appreciated.

    Thanks in advance...

  • I poured the juice on my macbook air

So I poured the juice on my macbook there was not that much and I spilled juice on it before, but this time was different cos he really turned off that it self but anyway I panicked and I started to panic and I shook it and then I found online that you have to leave it on the keyboard side down and I did that for a bit and then I turned it on and it really works but then it shut down again once I gave it a little and then I switched back on it and it turned on again and I managed to put my password and he began loading but it stopped again. I tried to put it on the charger sometimes the charger light comes on for a bit and then turns off, but most of the time it is not even turn on at all. It was 18 hours as it happened and I thought I'd try to trigger the SMS but I don't know if it is possible that if I shake it the juice would spread. Please help me.

When the liquid comes in contact with the computer, you run the risk of the liquid made his way to the logic board. Once the logic board to get even a little wet, liquid will conduct electricity and short on parts of the Board as power is applied (start, restart, load, etc.)

It would be wise for you to have the MacBook evaluated to an Apple store or Apple authorized service provider.

  • iPhone 6 has ran out of battery juice, but won't turn on after connecting the power cable.

    Hello.

I have an iPhone SIMless 6 (iOS v9.3.2) who missed the battery nothing to juice and turn off the power. I plugged the white USB power cable to a Windows laptop, but nothing happened. No power on, sounds, etc. I even tried another power cable and the source (power supply AC adapter and cable for the iPad). I don't even know if it is supported or not.

    Thank you in advance.

If it is disabled on its own because of lack of power, it will take some time before he can return to the top.

Plug it in and leave there for at least 10 to 15 minutes.

  • juice spilled on macbook

I spilled orange juice on my macbook pro a few hours ago. wasn't much, maybe less than a quarter on the lower keys on my macbook. the laptop worked when the spill happened, but I quickly wiped the orange juice, turn it off and it tipped. not knowing what to do, I tried pouring rice on the keyboard, but soon realized that the rice could get stuck inside the keyboard (which is). chipped some of the keys that spilled orange juice on and cleaned. I'm not too sure about the mac inside, except that there is always some rice and juice very probably.

    Help?

Take your Mac at the Apple Store as soon as possible. You cannot fix yourself, and there is no way to determine the extent of the damage. Do not activate the circumstances.

    Good luck

  • Is it normal to remove the protective screen of the Mac laptop

Is it safe to remove the protector from the computer screen mac laptop?  The screen is cracked, and there is a lot of air bubbles; It's on laptop for over a year.

If the screen is cracked, I imagine that the screen protector is now the fragments broken in place. I suspect that you will have a worse screen if you remove the cover - it can make other parts of the screen is not locked firmly to the screen. You will not be able to apply a new cover, if the screen is damaged - it spreads upwards again once the surface is not flat and will be difficult to clean.

If you decide to remove the right cover, back up everything first on an external drive. The display may stop working if you are unlucky or heavy right-handed.

I think that it would be preferable to replace the broken screen.

  • Laptop HP 15-R204NE: Gaming Laptop and battery

I recently bought a laptop and I'm ready to play CS on it, I play it and the most important thing to come between the two is the battery, I have my laptop up to 97% of the charge and give him a little rest, then I turn and nothing else except to run it but it seems to give me enough time I play almost like 6-7 online matches and my battery goes down to 30-40%.

Is anyway to get the juice the most out of your laptop battery? I thought to keep my laptop plugged everything playing, but which will ruin the battery completely of course. Except that I was told by people to remove the battery and run the laptop with AC power, but that will of course do my laptop more prone to the consequences because I do not trust electricity here in my place.

I'm not a pc game right now because of some problems and I probably guess that I won't in the future, what do I do?

    suggestions are appreciated.

    Kind regards.

Of course it is.  Plug the AC adapter all in game.  N ° it won't ruin the battery. All you have is to ensure that you go through a charge discharge cycle once a month or more. My laptop batteries last me usually about 4-5 years. It's a little longer that most of the people get out of them.

That's what I do when I have the game on my HP omen product loan.  There is a member of HP who designed the Voodoo PC back before being bought by HP and integrated into the fold. We discussed a similar problem and it does the same thing I do when the games on a laptop.

  • Slow performance HP Pavilion laptop problems

Very recently, I bought a laptop HP Pavilion. It has Windows 8 and arrived in the mail, no more than a week ago. The first thing I did after that the mandatory installation process was to restore the files from my old laptop (which broke) via ClickFree (currently I have 625 677 GB free) and once that was completed, I installed several programs (office, Vipre, Photoshop, etc.). Apart from that, I did very little about the real hard disk of the computer, since I save everything externally on my ClickFree.

My problems started occurring rather suddenly, Wednesday morning. In Firefox, I opened a tab for go on Facebook, and scroll the RSS seemed pretty gloomy. I closed the tab, but the slow pace continued in the other tabs, I had opened and then spread to the programs not involving is not the Internet. These problems have worsened gradually.

On the Internet, the performance is particularly slow. I gave up video players like Netflix, because they freeze the browser to the point of crashing. Page loading is very delayed, even typing this message experiences freeze, despite the fact that I have nothing else running in the browser. There is warning of frequent messages in scripts and plugins does not (although, ironically, these messages are often unresponsive until I finish the script or the offending plugin). It is difficult to do anything on the Internet, such as the loading of pages and tabs of switching may take several minutes. Just clicking can cause the browser to freeze for minutes at a time.

Off the Internet, programs load extremely slowly, often freezing. Opening files sometimes, with an increase in frequency, translates into a green loading bar at the top of the screen. Sometimes this bar gets stuck and cannot finish, and I can't access the contents of the file; This happened when I tried to open the Panel, to get more specific information about the computer to include in this message. Sometimes programs, such as video players, open without actually playing the video file, or they open at all. Often these programs freeze and sometimes hang; the desktop and the Explorer bar at the bottom of the screen (with the start menu, etc.) are not likely to freeze or disappear, for varying degrees of time. When I came to the computer, CPU utilization averaged about 4-6%, but now he's averaging 40 to 60%.

Start the computer became too long and hard. The last time that I restarted, I entered my password only to get a completely black screen for at least half an hour; My office and the icons have appeared when I pressed Ctrl-alt-delete. After that, I stopped to turn off the computer (it was not a long time ago). This morning, I opened the laptop to connect, but received only a "Please wait" while the computer has tried to load the login page. It took 10-15 minutes, and then I was finally able to enter my password.

These issues are getting worse, and I'm sure I'm forgetting several, but I think that what I've included enough to illustrate my problem. This is a new laptop, but it works almost as bad as my old laptop, which became unusable recently and had to be replaced with this one. I can't imagine what is the cause, but I really wish she was fixed. I installed a program called Fix - It Utilities (the installation disk supplied with the notebook) to try to improve the performance of the laptop, but to no avail. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello ValentineKills. I understand that the computer is slow. I will do my best to help you!

This can be caused by a hardware failure or a software/driver/virus conflict. However, we won't know until the diagnosis is made.

I'll provide a few official documents that provide information on how to speed up the computer. I want that you follow all the steps in all documents. In this way, if the problem exists, it will restrict the root cause. Here are the documents that I want you to try:

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/2746761

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c03460887

Since you're under Windows 8, I have a further suggestion: complete all updates to Windows, and then upgrade the computer to Windows 8.1. While the operating system is upgraded, try to use the computer and see if the speed is any different.

Please reply when you have finished troubleshooting. I'm only here to help!

  • G72 laptop: black screen

The screen will turn black when you move the cover forward or backward. Sometimes I have to hit the cover of the screen lights up. What would be the most likely cause?

    jimcra47

Welcome to the Community Forum of HP.

Crushed connection or in bulk to the display?  Just a guess, of course.  Something is loose or not making the connection properly at some point along the way.  Opening and closing of the lid are put to the test "whatever" and causing the display of snap to.

You might stop to move the lid if you want the connection stays in place - at least until you have your data backed up critics.    You could, of course, rely on an external monitor if you lose the use of the display on your portable computer.

Could be the screen itself - I think that spending would not such an effect if that was the case.

Depending on your skill level and the real root cause, you might want to take a look inside:

HP G72 Notebook PC Maintenance and Service Guide

    Can be an easy fix...

If you do not wish to disassemble your laptop on your own - and a lot of use are not computer bits spread out on an office - you could take the laptop to the local House of reliable repair.

You want to have backed up your data before doing this - and, more important still, you may want to remove all personal and private data from the laptop before allowing anyone access it.  Make sure you have 'extra' backups of critical data - maybe for a Cloud backup and/or a USB.

  • Satellite L350-24U: how to clean the keyboard after having poured orange juice

    Hello out there.
I spilled my L350-24U with Orange juice.
    Now, I have 4 keys to self-retaining :-(

Can someone tell me how to clean the keyboard without damaging the laptop?

    Thanks in advance.

Hmm, it's still a stupid situation
Usually you can remove the keyboard of the laptop very easily.
The keyboard is fixed with screws hidden under thin plastic cover near the line of F1 - F12 key.

If you would remove plastic this cover then you would be able to remove the screws as well. Then you could lift the keyboard carefully and could disconnect the flat cable of the keyboard and the motherboard.

Notes; two small latches on both sides of the connector must be moved in order to disconnect the cable.

Then you could remove the keyboard and could clean it with a damp lint.
PS: the caps can be removed too.
But be very careful. You must raise the CAP to get it for free.

    Jimmy, welcome to the forum.

You must connect the monitor to the laptop and go to control panel / sound.  You must make sure that the speakers to the monitor are set by default.  If you do not use the monitor all the time, you may need to do this every time you connect it.
