Spry Horizontal submenus shift of menu in Explorer bar

I am redesigning my site and manage with spry menu horizontal bar submenus which are compensatory right in Explorer.  They should be aligned vertically. They work properly in Safari, Firefox and Chrome. Also get into trouble with it on the homepage where he won't fall down on the content of my table-bearing.  Any suggestions on how to fix these flaws?  My beta site.

Sorry, I was hoping that the doctype is the problem.

    I am building a Web site that contains a horizontal menu spry with submenus on some of the tabs. On one page of the Web site, there is a flash drive in the upper part and for some reason any IE puts the drop-down list behind the flash player. I guess I need to change the CSS files for Spry menu, but I don't know where to start? How can I tell IE to display all of the Spry elements on top?  Any ideas? • Is it possible to have top-level menu to horizontal top and under menu on the right or the left

    I have a site put in place with the upper level horizontal menu at the top of page.

    I was wondering if it is possible to have submenus positioned as needed - to the right or left side of the page rather than directly in the menus at the top.

    I currently generated submenus as a menu manual separated and placed next to the page.  Would rather all the menus were linked, rather than two separate menu widgets.

    Hope it makes sense.

    Hello

    We cannot achieve this with default menu, but you can try compositions on the page to create the menu.

    For example, in the ToolTip you can use trigger in the horizontal main menu and target in the side menu where users when the mouse hover to main navigation then target appears on the side of the page.

    Thank you for posting.  There is not a way to display this information in the status bar in Windows 7.  You can get the information by clicking on the folder and selecting Properties.  I hope this information is useful.

    I installed the light Advanced CSS Menu of Adjatix but I can't find it in the menu Insert or bar?

    Make sure you've got the Adobe Extension Manager CC Version 7.3.2.39 installed, and Dreamweaver is not running.

    Then go to Ajatix - download Dreamweaver Extensions (Add-ons) and Expression Web Add-Ins and download the correct extension. If you use Firefox, you will get a pop-up window asking what Firefox should do, at what point you should choose to open with Adobe Extension Manager CC (default). Sit and watch it all happen.

    When finished, start Dreamweaver and Panel Insertion search-> Advanced CSS Drop Down Menu Light Ajatix.

  • Horizontal submenus Spry drop not vertical

    Please forgive me if there's a post answering the question of ths.  I went through about 20 posts and 2 tutorials that I thought that it would process without success. I use CS4 with Vista and ie7, I thought that my problem was the Flash video as the menu, but the problem still exists when I deleted the flash.

    I inserted a horizontal Spry menu with submenus, but the submenus drop horizontal and not vertical. (In the design of the menu display has a vertical drop). Take a look at the first and the third link for an example. http://gigharborrealestate.com/dw_question/

    Thank you

    The problem lies here:

    ul.MenuBarHorizontal ul
    {
         margin: 0;
         padding: 0;
         list-style-type: none;
         font-size: 100%;
         z-index: 1020;
         cursor: default;
         width: auto;
         position: absolute;
         left: -1000em;
    }

    You must assign a width for submenus. Otherwise, IE display these files directly horizontally.

  • Another problem of Spry Menu/Internet Explorer

    Firefox and Safari display very well my spry menu. Not the same with Internet Explorer.
    Any suggestions? USCHT

    Hello

    I'm afraid that's not so much a question of spry.
    The spry CSS has been published and there is lack of a few things like having
    some things in the wrong place now.
    There are errors in your CSS.
    There is a problem with your HTML code allowing the problem IE the area in full expansion.
    In addition, to increase the size of the text in FireFox (ctrl + +) and you will see the page
    breaks apart.

    Here's the code broken in your sections
    (Notice the comment ended up between the class and the support and the a tag
    ... missing a cut and paste error?) :

    UL. MenuBarHorizontal / * Menu items are a light grey block with padding and
    no text decoration * /.
    UL
    {
    display: block;
    cursor: pointer;
    background-color: #431F45;
    Padding: 0.5em 0.5em;
    text-decoration: none;
    }

    Go back to the way it was originally and then change the colors in your
    so, it looks like this:

    / * Menu items are a light grey block with padding and no text decoration * /.
    UL. MenuBarHorizontal a
    {
    display: block;
    cursor: pointer;
    background-color: #431F45;
    Padding: 0.5em 0.75em;
    text-decoration: none;
    }

    Then, change this:
    UL. MenuBarHorizontal ul. MenuBarSubmenuVisible
    {
    left: auto;
    }

    Return to:

    UL. MenuBarHorizontal ul. MenuBarSubmenuVisible
    {
    left: auto;
    top: 0;
    }

    Then note how comments say fixed-width, but auto has been used.
    Implement than the back:

    / * Container of menu items are same fixed width parent * /.
    UL. MenuBarHorizontal ul li {}
    Width: 8.2em;
    }

    Then get rid of self again by changing this line:

    / * Submenus should appear under their parent (top: 0) with a higher z-index,
    but they are first the left side of the screen (-1000em) * /.
    UL. MenuBarHorizontal ul {}
    margin: 0;
    padding: 0;
    list-style-type: none;
    do-size: 100%;
    z index: 1020;
    cursor: default;
    Width: 8.2em;
    position: absolute;
    left:-1000em;
    }

    And get rid of the car, once more, by changing this back to:

    / * Menu item containers, children of the position relative to this container and
    are a fixed width * /.
    UL. MenuBarHorizontal li {}
    margin: 0;
    padding: 0;
    list-style-type: none;
    do-size: 100%;
    position: relative;
    text-align: left;
    cursor: pointer;
    Width: 8th;
    float: left;
    }

    Note also the font sizes are changed to 100% on the bar menu li and
    submenu li...
    You already reduce the police to 80% in the main AMT, so using 80% again on
    the elements within the AMT, you essentially said 80% of 80%.
    Who was the tilt things in Internet Explorer. I think it's hard to keep track, but it
    appears to set the offset drop down lists.

    Now, in your CSS change the body and this envelope:

    {body
    background-color: #FFFFFF;
    do-family: "Times New Roman", Times, serif;
    padding: 0;
    margin: 0;
    text-align: center;
    }
    {#wrapper}
    margin: 0px auto;
    padding: 0;
    background-color: #000000;
    Width: 800px;
    text-align: left;
    }

    Moreover, now you can remove all the font family: "Times New Roman"
    Times, serif; throughout your CSS as they will all inherit it body.

    Then, in your CSS, solve this problem by removing the float or giving him a
    direction. :

    #footer {}
    float:
    Width: 800px;

    Then, change this:
    {p}
    do-family: "Times New Roman", Times, serif;
    color: #FFFFFF;
    do-size: 14px;
    text-align: left;
    left margin: 7px;
    right margin: 2px;
    }

    to do this:

    {p}
    color: #FFFFFF;
    do-size: 14px;
    margin: 2px 2px 7px;
    }

    Then, in your code, get rid you of all between them the words in the spry
    menu, such as here:

  • Who are we

  • href = "#" > 2005 USCHT targets

    Tourism Summit

    There is more that I have seen.
    Once they are gone, you will have the expanding box problem in Internet Explorer.

    Now get an overview of the page.
    The menu can be a bit off but which is caused by the amount of text that you are
    try to fit in this field.
    "You can give the different li single width, so that you can make: home ' not as
    wide and then do the '2005 USCHT objectives. "
    Tourism Summit"a large button and so immediately (or simply change of objectives).
    You can make the smallest font size (only not by changing size % in the submenus)
    but by changing the font size in the main AMT)
    Or, you can re - thinking the layout of link.

    Take care
    Tim

  • Spry Horizontal Menu - the width of each individual cell

    First of all, I realize that there is a discussion forum specifically for Spry, but when I checked out, it seems that these questions get very few answers.

    I am currently working on the page is www.missionartisticperformance.com/about.html

    I inserted a Horizontal Spry Menu and I have some problems with it. When this bar is created automatically, each cell is the same width so that if I have a menu name small like HOME', there is a lot of padding on the left and right of that Word, but if I have a name of menu multi word like "WORKSHOPS of THEATRE MUSICAL", the width of the cell is exactly the same, but the height of the cell develops into three lines. How can I adjust cell widths so that they are compared with the content? I don't want more than one height of two rows - specifically with that that I just mentioned, I want to "MUSICAL THÉÂTRE" on the top on the second line line in a cell and "WORKSHOPS". It is also important that the entire menu bar fits on a single horizontal line so I know that I may need to adjust the size of the font as well.

    Second of all I want to center then the menu under the banner bar and I found the instructions on how to do it but I'm unable to determine what should be the width of the bar all.

    Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    If you are looking for good systems menu, ProjectSeven.com has excellent solutions. They are not free, but they are very well made. I'm sure that others will offer alternatives.

    For your immediate problems with the Spry menu:

    • Remove the width property ul. MenuBarHorizontal li
    • Change the size of font in ul. MenuBarHorizontal to 85%
    • Add padding-right: 25px; at ul. MenuBarHorizontal a.MenuBarItemSubmenu

    Once you remove the width fixed menu items, it is impossible to focus. You need to add a left margin on the menu to push it in the desired position.

  • Menu Spry, problems with background images in Internet Explorer

    Hello

    Looking for help from someone more qualified than me with some menus spry.  I have problems with background images don't show is not for some of my items menu in Internet Explorer.  Safari and firefox seem to accept it's ok.

    Here is a link to the menu: http://www.scottbrownwebdesign.com/beta/HTML/index.html

    and here is a link to the spry .css: http://www.scottbrownwebdesign.com/beta/HTML/SpryAssets/SpryMenuBarHorizontal.CSS

    I know that these are the elements that have the drop down or the side of the arrows.  I can't have two background images that I can?

    Thanks in advance,

    -Scott

    My first thought...

                         display: inline;          f\loat: left;          background: #FFF;

    Try declaring the background-image here as well... where it says not to mess with unless you know what you are doing.

    I'm just guessing though. If I had more time I'd look into it further but I do not.
