  I just recovered from a web browser hijacking. The process of cleaning with antivirus, Spy Hunter removed all my Firefox profiles, including the Manager of my profile.
  How can I reinstall Firefox?
  I always get the message "not found profile missing or deleted".

  It makes me crazy.

    I have tried every suggestion from what seems like everywhere to remove this pesky thing...but still it remains.  From uninstalling it from Control Panel (it's not there) ...uninstalling it from Add-ons/Plug-ins/Extensions (not showing there either) ...to using Bit Defender...Malwarebytes...and now (finally) Spy Hunter 4.  Have also  tried resetting Firefox to default.  Absolutely nothing works.  Is this programme now resilient to every attempt to remove it?

  . From point of view of a layman, both of these intrusive programs appear not in the Panel, or as an add-on/extension etc.

    What a shame they can't be prosecuted under international law...

  I have a HP Probook 4520 s (Energy Star), operation, Service Pack 1 32-bit. Windows 7 Professional laptop

  Recently I have had several minor problems and made one before the start system diagnisis and got the following result. Can someone tell me what mean these error codes and what I can do about it.

  I went to www.hp.com/go/csr, as recommend it, without success.

  HP customer analysis online support gave me 8 downloads but all except one have tried to install older updates than I already had.

  I checked for the security issues with Avast, Malwarebytes, clean of Adware and Spy Hunter and with the exception of the PuP 4 nothing major was found.

  My 3 year warranty expired a few months ago! I have the disc to install windows 7 Pro but guess it is not on the hard drive?

  Any help or advice will be greatly appreciated.

  OK in this case, your hard drive is in the point of fail'n... If you can still go to windows... Go ahead and take a backup of your data and if you have not created a recovery disc that also create... you will need to reinstall the operating system on the new HARD drive when you reinstall.

• DeskJet 2050 does not

  I use a HP Deskjet 2050 with a laptop Asus SonicMaster under Win 8.1.

  I used the Spy Hunter software because this laptop has been seriously infected with the pirates of browser and other malicious programs. The anti-malware software has done its job and the laptop is free of infection. Recently, I noticed that when I clicked on the HP Deskjet shortcut icon, nothing happens. Even when I go on the program itself, nothing happens. I can't call the HP printer/scanner software at all. I tried to uninstall, new download of HP software and reinstall. Unfortunately, it did not work. I've used several times HP Print Scan Doctor 4.5 and the test print and scanning test to get positive results. I can not even call software. Help!

  Thank you for visiting the Forums HP's Support and welcome. I read on your HP Deskjet 2050 printer and it does not not at all functions.

  Have you tried to temporarily disable your antivirus and try the functions?

  Protection against the Virus could block the printer communications. You can try to uninstall the software and reinstall it. This could help.

• Windows 7 continues to write thousands of jpg files on c:\windows\serviceprofiles\networkservice\appdata\local\microsoft\media player\art cache\localmls subdirectory in the form of system files.

  Let me describe what is happening. I used the 'get info' in iTunes to add various jpg work at the individual level of CD (i.e. selecting song at the same time) multiple.  ITunes displays the work very well and works very well. Over a period of time, I noticed deterioration in system performance and when I tried to create a disc using CMS Bounceback Ultimate image has noticed that the number of files on my hard drive had increased from 250,000 to about 1 000 000. After much research and a bit of luck, I determined that Windows 7 has written these JPGs repeatedly in the subdirectory cache\localmls of c:\windows\serviceprofiles\networkservice\appdata\local\microsoft\media player\art. These are the same files jpg, I added in iTunes. When I discovered, there are about 700,000 of these small files in this subdirectory in the form of system files which are hidden files. I was able to remove these files first reset file attributes (attrib s h - r *.jpg) and using the del command. Unfortunately, the system continues to write the same files in the same sub and a few hours, I have thousands of these files written again. I checked the system for virus/malware using the latest versions of sophos, malwarebytes, and spy hunter. There is no malware reported by one of these programs.  I also stopped Sophos and tried again but the problem persists. I have also rebuilt iTunes library by following the steps described by Apple, but this does not solve the problem. Any suggestions I can try next?

  If not, perhaps, you create a batch file to run at startup or schedule tasks to remove *.jpg files that appear in this folder?

  An approximate example of a batch file would be in this sense. It would be created in Notepad but recorded in a .bat file.

  This is only a rough guide and may need a lot of amendments by you that I'm not familiar with batch files, but it shouldn't be too hard to do.  The batch by operating manually or in scheduled tasks file would need administrative privileges or the localmls access permissions set properly for the user.

• Buzz during playback caused by svchost.exe (swprv)

  During playback of any kind, if the streaming, playing a CD, listening on iTunes, using any multimedia player, etc., I get an occasional buzz that lasts only a second or so, but it is very troublesome during the reading of the symphonies, etc.  After trying the drivers of different devices, mobile wires and all sorts of other fixes, I finally watch this process were underway on the CPU during playback and discovered that whenever the buzz happens suddenly appears out of nowhere, POPs to the top of the list of running processes "svchost.exe (swprv)" program and then disappear or fall to the bottom of the list as soon as the buzz disappears.  This happens any reading device - speakers or headphones - or the form of audio playback I use.  The problem is clearly caused by this svchost process.  She also is not using a lot of CPU when it arrives.

  The process is an essential copy of Microsoft program and cannot be removed from the system.  How to make this stop?

  I had the same problem as you and drove me crazy.   I tried everything with malwarebytes, Microsoft Security essentals antivirus analysis and software spy hunter all to nothing does not.  Installed the latest important and recommended updates windows always annoying random humming.  Disc clean up and remove all of the recommendations. The only thing that fixed it and I'm now free buzz was a defrag of my c drive!  My machine was only 1% fragmented, but now I can happily listen to any audio player via media, youtube, etc without any buzz.

  I hope this simple defragmentation solution works for you also.

  Hello cypressmd, as the link in the second answer of John99 said, the problem is probably an installed extension, try Firefox Safe Mode to see if the problem goes away. Safe mode is a troubleshooting mode, which disables most of the modules.

  (If you use it, switch to the default theme).

  • You can open Firefox 4.0 + in Safe Mode holding the key SHIFT key when you open the desktop Firefox or shortcut in the start menu.
  • Or open the Help menu and click on the restart with the disabled... modules menu item while Firefox is running.

  Once you get the pop-up, simply select "" boot mode safe. "

  If the issue is not present in Firefox Safe Mode, your problem is probably caused by an extension, and you need to understand that one. To do this, please follow article Troubleshooting extensions, themes and problems of hardware acceleration to resolve common Firefox problems .

  To exit safe mode of Firefox, simply close Firefox and wait a few seconds before you open Firefox for normal use again.

  It's a false alarm or a Windows malware attachment in email (a common occurrence for most users of e-mail). No one can hurt you, and you don't need to do anything. Just do not pass to someone else.

  I have a Satellite P870 I just upgraded to 8.1 of Windows and a game I play called theHunter launch now.

  When I run the launcher it comes up with an error saying "No. appropriate display Modes.
  It worked fine on Windows 8.

  TheHunter support has not been very useful and well try a number of different things, I can't seem to solve this problem. I have also contacted Microsoft but got a call in as soon as they have been busy!

  Any suggestions as to what could cause this problem and how to solve?

  I don t play this game and cannot say what may be the problem. To be honest, this message is not unclear to me. I use Win8.1 too, but so far I n t see on my laptop.
