SR520-FE-K9

So I have this 'great' product and I am trying to configure it as a router secure on our network.

Problem is that I don't want to act as a DHCP server put I can not disable the function.

BTW, I use the small Buisness Pro Setup help

Hello

Sorry - I forgot that the CCA maintains this pool as a reserved setting.  There is a work around using CCA property:

1. click on routing > IP addresses and set up the default VLAN (1) with your default LAN IP address (if you really want to use your LAN subnet 192.168.75.0/24, change the address used for VLAN 75 first something else)

2. go to switching > Smart Ports and change each LAN port roles to the desktop using native VLAN1.  In doing so, I recommend the following steps:

(a) change the role of the three ports you are not currently logged in and apply this configuration

(b) close the CCA (don't worry save anything at this point)

(c) exchanging your PC connection to one of the ports that you simply reconfigured

(d) statically configure your PC with an address in the subnet that you used in step 1

(e) raise the CCA and connect to the IP address that you configured in step 1

(f) the role of the port that you were connected initially and apply this configuration change.

3. go in security > NAT and parameters of removal/re-enable to ensure the VLAN1 is now included

4. click on security > firewall and make sure the VLAN 1 is included as a trust interface and apply.

This process, although a bit long, should ensure that you can continue to use the CCA without problem in the future.

If you really want to use CLI, you should just be able to run:

config t

No ip dhcp inside pool

I don't know if CCA will complain of it being missing / try to replace in the future however.

Hope that helps,

Andy

  • issue of nat sr520

Hi, I have configured the sr520 using the cca.

Basically I have a device connected to the sr 520 wireless with the IP 192.168.200.160.

The SR connects to internet via adsl and pppoe.

I have configured NAT to the unit for a number of ports, but it does not work.

I enclose an excerpt from the configuration, all the ideas I have a hurt

    Instead of...
    type of policy-card inspect sdm-inspect-voip-in
    class type inspect SDM-inspect-staticnat-in
    Pass
    Could you do
    type of policy-card inspect sdm-inspect-voip-in
    class type inspect SDM-inspect-staticnat-in
    inspect
I think that will fix the problem.
  • SR520, ping response

    Hello

Not very familiar with the ZBF on the SR520, can anyone please provide me with a configuration allowing the SR520 send ping reply´s.

    Concerning

    Eivind

Zone firewall configuration can be confusing, especially if one is used to the old configuration of the CBAC-type FW.

Your best resource for this problem is the

Design of the area Guide of Application and firewall policies

    http://www.Cisco.com/en/us/products/sw/secursw/ps1018/products_tech_note...

Annex B has an example configuration that would allow ping responses.

There are four basic steps to set up the firewall.

    (1) define areas

    (2) define the class cards to identify traffic between zones

    (3) create a strategy map that defines the action to be taken in terms of class

    (4) set up the pair area and apply the policy

In Annex B, you'll see the class map specifying which traffic to inspect. The names of the class map and policy-map could be anything.

    class-map type inspect match-any L4-inspect-class
    match protocol tcp
    match protocol udp
    match protocol icmp

The policy map here indicates what action to take, and in this case, the only action is to 'inspect'.
If it was 'drop', the connection would be denied.

    policy-map type inspect clients-servers-policy
    class type inspect L4-inspect-class
      inspect

    Hopefully that helps!

    SR520 #.

OK, I heard about this once before, where the default basic configuration has been changed at the beginning of the life cycle of this product and WAN access problems were solved using a newer base from config.  Depending on your router, I have attached the default config, you can start with (or compare to yours).

I'm not sure what has changed (I'm sorry)

    https://www.myciscocommunity.com/docs/doc-5167

  • By default the SR520 impossible

I can't the router to work at all. I want to default. CCA leaves me no default configuration for this router for some reason any. The box reset config is missing.

I backup upward configs using tftp and then copied the config to factory V9 to the router.

I made a flash copy start then the new mem config then wr

When I reload the router an automatic backup and copy the operation during the start-up

So I did the process again and then made a copy start run and had all kinds of errors.

What exactly is the default method of the router

I'm really starting to think that you should go directly to the TAC. Looks like you had 3 separate issue with this SR520.

Your other post, it seems that we have:

    (1) SSL VPN connectivity problems

    (2) port forwarding problems

    (3) Config reset problems

I'm looking what whether in the common COUNTRY assessment that could contribute to the problem here, but I don't not nailed all the answers yet.  (and I hate the idea that you're waiting on something useful here and it does not come fast enough)

    I'm still digging.

  • 'How to' set up a VPN between a UC540 and a SR520 with remote IP extension

    Hi all

I need help in establishing a link between a head office UC540 and a distance SR520 I want to use a PC and an IP phone in. This remote site is the first of many.

I found several examples of IPsec VPN site, but none with references to some VLAN voice and data, should I worry or the phone will only work.

All the tips and suggestions accepted with gratitude,

    Jerry

Here is an example of configuration LAN-to-LAN VPN between 2 IOS routers:

    http://www.Cisco.com/en/us/Tech/tk583/TK372/technologies_configuration_example09186a0080194650.shtml

    Assuming that your example:

    VLAN 1 - data - 192.168.19.0/24

    VLAN 100 - voice - 10.1.1.0/24

    And on the other side:

    VLAN 1 - data - 192.168.20.0/24

    VLAN 100 - voice: 10.2.2.0/24

    The crypto ACL would be:

    access-list 150 permit ip 192.168.19.0 0.0.0.255 192.168.20.0 0.0.0.255

    access-list 150 permit ip 10.1.1.0 0.0.0.255 10.2.2.0 0.0.0.255

Crypto ACLs on the other side are the following:

    access-list 150 permit ip 192.168.20.0 0.0.0.255 192.168.19.0 0.0.0.255

    access-list 150 permit ip 10.2.2.0 0.0.0.255 10.1.1.0 0.0.0.255

(SR520-ADVIPSERVICESK9-M), Version 12.4 (20) T6. Later, I found that it does not support

Protocol PNDH, which constitutes a basis for DMVPN feature and speak-to-speak of VPN tunnels.

I guess that the problem is in the IOS version that comes with the router.

Tell me please, if you know, is the problem and the IOS version which should choose?

Should I take later (12.4.24T6) or some special release?

    Thanks in advance,

    Vladimir

    Hi Vladimir

Support DMVPN on SR520 was indeed only added 12.4 (24) T so I suggest you go for the last, which is 12.4 (24) T6.

  • DVP-SR520 how to unlock the lock on DVP-SR520P

    Hello

I cannont find SR520P manual on Sony support, I need to turn off the child lock, I tried the procedure described in the manual of SR510P, but they do nothing. Its a surprise that the owners manaul is not on the site of sony, taken in charge is limited. In addition there is no support for DVD title, posted under blue-ray, assumed that sony are not interested in the technical support of the products back.

    Hi scotty1511,

While the player is on, press and hold the RETURN, ENTER and POWER button on the remote control to open the drawer.

  • Vs SA 520 520 SR

    Hello

What is the diference between the family series SA 520 and SR 520 series family?, technically of course.

    Thank you

    Rolando

Here is a list of major differences between the SA500 and SR500 series:

    • SA500 series and the SR520-T1 are considered Small Business Pro products, while the SR520-ADSL and SR520-FE are considered traditional Cisco products.
    • SA500 platform based non - IOS-, while all the current models of SR500, including SR520-T1, are based on IOS.
    • The SR520-ADSL models SR520-FE are supported by the traditional TAC and SMARTnet service is offered on these models, while Small Business Pro services are offered on the SR520-T1 and SA500 series.
    • SR520-ADSL, FE-SR520 and SR520-T1 models are designed to be configurable CCA, but have characteristics that are not configurable of CCA. SR520-ADSL and SR520-FE models have made improve the features which are not available on UC500 series / SA500 series (but which are available on ISR platforms). On the other hand, the SA500 is not configurable in CCA again (even if the basic configuration of the SA500 has been added to the CCA 2.2.1 and later versions).
    • The SA500 supports QuickVPN and SSL VPN, while the SR500 series supports easy VPN, AnyConnect VPN SSL technology and the Web SSL VPN.
    • The SA500 supports ProtectLink Gateway, and the SR500 series doesn't support ProtectLink Gateway.
    • The SR500 (and UC500 and ISR platforms) supports the routable IPsec VPN tunnel interfaces, while the SA500 does not have routable IPsec VPN tunnel interfaces. However, the site-to-site VPN are always supported on the SA500.
    • SSL VPN on the SR520 series (and the ISR platforms) requires a separate VPN SSL license, while the SA520 is bundled with 2 licenses of SSL VPN client (Extensible to 25 licenses of SSL VPN via a license update) and the SA540 comes with 50 SSL VPN client licenses.
    • The SR520-T1 is supported in the CCA multisite Manager, but the SR520-ADSL, SR520-FE, SA520 and SA540 are not yet supported in the CCA multisite Manager.
    • Whereas the SA500 platform had known bugs and was unstable at the time of its release, the platform based on IOS SR520 tends to be more stable. There was even some first SA500 customers who were planning on trading in their SA500s to the traditional products of Cisco because bugs found in the SA500 firmware release of SA500 versions. Bugs on the UC500 platform tend to be in the communications unified in the characteristics and safety components.
  • Replacement for an AM200/RV042 configuration?

My trusty AM200 modem died and it apears it is no longer available.  I thought that the AM300 looked ok but I can't one of these no more, at least not in Europe.

I have it used to power the internet to my RV042 and then on my WRVS4400 and a few of WRT54GL and it was awesome.  It is difficult to try to find a replacement.  I tried a D - Link DSL-320 b, because it resembled a similar product, but it does not work.  In the United Kingdom, the modem needs to do all so we only PPPoA authentication.  The D-Link will do but if DHCP is activated it automatically falls in half-bridge mode but the RV042 won't work with it in this mode.  I used my AM200 half-bridge, just for try earlier but did not like the fact, became invisible on the network, so it could not be easily given but I don't know how it should work.  The DSL-320 with disabled DHCP does not give the RV042 port WAN IP to MAC cloning should fix it, is not so I am stuffed as they say.  Also, if you Google DSL - 320 b, PPPoA, routers and UK ISP you would not have bought one in the first place.  Fortunately, it was cheap!

My work is about using a Netgear DG834PN with wireless off and DMZ active (with active DHCP and functioning properly to give the RV042 a WAN IP address, but without interfering with the RV042 the DCHP) feeding the WAN port.  It works well but does not give the same speed of line like the AM200.  Also, he loses the lock from time to time and must be restarted so that is a temporary solution.

It doesn't seem to be many products out there, so I'm open to suggestions.

Furthermore, the Forum configuration has changed since my last message for the Linksys one, so if there is a better Forum for this question please suggest what he.  Thank you

    Graeme Smith

    Graeme,

This forum is specific to the Cisco Small Business product range, like the RV042 you.  In the closest Cisco Small Business portfolio, we would have to the modem AM200 ADSL is the Secure Router 520 (SR520), model ADSL (SR520-ADSL-K9).  There is also a wireless version of the router that should be required (SR520W-ADSL-K9).  I'm not familiar with the AM200 personally however the product match nearest you, we in small businesses is the SR520.  To read the the SR520 line sheet, click here!

    Hope this helps,

Someone at - it helps me to get the part number on the AC Adapater and reference numbers we AC adapter power cable to the router SR520? I have a client who has both "lost" and needs a replacement. Any help is appreciated. I searched all over the documentation for Cisco for the part number, but couldn't find a CAB - AC2, which seems not the adapter power cord only.

  • Router Cisco 877M ability to use UC technology?

    Hi all

Router Cisco 877 M can cause functionality or the ability to use VOIP technology or UC?

    See you soon,.

In the Cisco Small Business portfolio, we offer Smart Business Communications System (SBCS), which is a suite of products providing small business with UC.

This includes remote teleworkers, namely SRI 871W and the SR520, if you need ADSL interface.  This includes the management GUI and configuration using the CCA (Cisco COnfiguration Assistant).   This suite of products have been designed and tested to work together and supported that was as well.

You can introduce other products and attempt to interoperate, but you will drift away from the value added by sticking to patterns and best practice deployments, we recommend you.

    Hello

I'm on a UC540 that I installed the customer of the United Nations and it would like to be able to block access a certain web sites and instant messaging applications type live Messenger.

I think pour ca url blocking should happen at the level of the ACl but is not at all an expert I don't know she procedure put in place to achieve this. Idem pour applications.

I saw that by switching the FW from one level to the other, it blocks certain services or not but I do not know what create or modifier.

If someone has an idea, I want although it me informed because I think that this is a request that is not unique, and so I will have to reproduce on other facilities.

    Thanks in advance,

    Roman

    Hello Romain,.

Yes, url filtering is not available in the UC. However it is available the of SR520 and with VAC.
