  The original fix told to look for "Windows setup" in Add/Remove programs - I have not this to be listed. I searched my computer whole looking for 'sol.exe' does not exist. It must have been removed for cleaning upwards, I have no other games. Who knows, it is an old computer, I give my people JUST TO PLAY SOLITAIRE. Any other ideas?

  Solitaire game is built into Windows XP, you can install it via Add/Remove Windows components in Add / Remove Program:

  (a) Insert Windows XP CD

  (b) open the Control Panel

  (c) open Add or remove programs

  (d) on the left side of the window Add or remove programs , you will see Add/Remove Windows components.

  (e) click on Add/Remove Windows components , it will open Windows Components Wizard.

  (f) double click on Accessories and utilities it will open window utility and accessories.

  (g) games -double-click and select the box checkbox on Solitaire.

  (h) click Ok and Next to reinstall the game of Solitaire.

  If the check box is already selected for the games, you can try if you deselect and rechecked the games area, then check if it helps.

• Close a non-LabVIEW with the LabVIEW program?

  I have two programs running on the same computer.  One is a 3rd party software that collects data from a sensor and generates files.  The other is a LabVIEW application that analyzes the files before deleting them.  (The 3rd party software is written in LabVIEW, but closed source).

  I want to stop the 3rd party software automatically whenever my LabVIEW application stops.  If someone stops the LabVIEW application without stopping acquisition of data on the 3rd party software, hard drive fills up with files in one day about.  Not good!

  Is this possible without turning off the computer?

  "kill Task" in command prompt will help you achieve what you want? Use systemexec in LabVIEW to do this. After the back if this is not what you want.

I have included a parameter field in the sql script to allow the entry of a value to determine the number of days prior to the script. The script runs correctly in SQL * Plus, but when I try to record it as a competitor Oracle program I get the following errors below:

  You can try one of these approaches-

  1. replace '& days' in your script with "& 1"- or-".

  2. Add the following to your script at the beginning

• Problems to open the Web Application host with only IE comments

  I'm running a Windows 2008 R2 using VMWare Workstation 7.1.5 prompt.  The customer has an installed web application which is only compatible with MS Internet Explorer.  The guest network is configured to use NAT.

  When my host is connected to the local network of my company, I can use Internet Explorer to host to access web applications of the customer without any problem.

  When my host is not connected to the local network of my company (completely disconnected, or connected to a different network) I can't use Internet Explorer of the host to access web application of the burst.  But I can use the host Chrome or Firefox to access the customer applications.

  My company has my locked host IE while I can't make changes to it.  Is there something I can do with my network settings to get IE think it is connected to the local network of the company?

  It wasn't a DNS issue since I knew that I was able to connect using Chrome.

  It was a restriction of IE, but I was finally able to work around this problem.  My company gave me access to a local account on the machine that had full administrative rights.  Since it is a local account is not all corporate policies pushed to him.  In case you're wondering, I created a shortcut with the following command:

  C:\Windows\System32\runas.exe/user:\administrator "C:\Program Files (x 86) \Internet.

  Runs like a champ.  You will be asked for the password for the local account and then you are able to IE without restrictions.

  You don't need the old installed software but it takes the serial number of the old software - this will be asked as "qualifying product".

  Probably (but not necessarily) find that the installation removes the old version.

  I am writing some software that depends on various java installed files properly in bin and lib/ext files files from the latest version of the java runtime installed.  I would like to be able to check if these files are in place and give an error message in my LabVIEW code if they are not.  However, the path to these files may differ on different machines depending on the version of java installed and the version of windows being used (for example C:\Program Files (x 86) \Java\jre7 vs.)  C:\Program Files\Java\jre6).  I use the 32-bit version of LabVIEW and the system Exec.vi to all my calls to java.  Does anyone know of a way directly from LabVIEW or command in Windows, I could use the system of Exec.vi to find these paths?  Thank you.

  Use the LabVIEW functions in connectivity > access to the Windows registry (thanks Yamaeda)

  Access "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\JavaSoft\Java Runtime Environment" (thanks TiTou)

  You can specify if you want to only 32-bit or 64-bit with Key.vi register open (no need to deal with the Wow6432Node in the Windows registry, LabVIEW manages)

  If I do not install device with LabVIEW drivers can I still change any given LabVIEW program created with this version?  Or do I need to install device drivers if I'm editing a program that uses these drivers?

  What you reinstall? The dll is part of the traditional DAQ driver.
