Hi Juan,

If the PuTTY screen just disappears, the reason might be that telnet is not allowed to switch. You can try to use the same parameter but connect via SSH?

Another thing, you may want to try, puts the VLAN ID on your network card. To do this, go to the properties of your network card, then click on the button "configure" next to the network adapter you are using (the material specification) and then click the Advanced tab.

You will see a "VLAN & Priority" setting, set it to "enable VLAN & Priority"... Click 'VLAN Id', and then set it to 2. Click OK to save your settings. And try to ping the IP address of the switch.

Let me know if or the other of these solutions work, ok?

Best regards

  • DNS Server 2008 issue

My Windows Server 2008 VMs does not automatically create the DNS records, but will update them if I manually create them. Here's the break down. I have several servers in my area, virtual and physical with static IP addresses. Records from 2003 and 2008 server create and update DNS physical server running as they should. I have several Virtual Server 2003 computers that also work well with the DNS system. The only problem I have is with Server 2008 running on a virtual machine. What I have done for all virtual machines 2008 is manually create DNS record and change the permissions so that he has edit rights to the record. Does anyone have any ideas of what can be the problem?

    Hi FlingDog,

    Welcome to the forums!

I doubted much you have a specific question from VMware here. It seems that your DNS permissions are not quite right.

If you you remove the manual entries in DNS, re-seems-t-it if manually save you it from the server performed? Try to run the following in a command prompt: ipconfig/registerdns

As indicated at the end of the command, the DNS records must be updated, and if not the best place to look is the event viewer on your DNS and your server after 15 minutes.

Post back if you still have problems.

    See you soon,.

You have activated VT settings in the BIOS of your host? If this isn't the case, you must do.

  • Designer of the app connectivity DB in SQL Server 2008 issues

I have a new created databasse called 'PSDMO1' (cloned from existing 'Demo'). This database is on PT 8.51.08. In the same machine, I am able to connect to the database 'Demo' successfully. I am trying to connect to this database using the App Designer. But it does not work.

I have studied and found that the login to the people itself fails (App Designer Trace below). I worked with the DBA here and concluded that, "the connection is does NOT in the database". So, it looks like problem ODBC.

('' People '' subsidies are already provided).

However ODBC will display correct system DSN and also - Test connection is successful.

It seems that Peoplesoft is unable to speak and ODBC database.

  • Could not find the keys to license RD

    Hello

I would like to reinstall RD CALs on my Standard 64-bit of Windows Server 2008 R2 server. The keys have been installed by another technology, but a game has been installed by the user and the other by the device. I have two options: (a) change the by button on the device to user or (b) to reinstall the two 5 client access licenses. Either way works for me, but I think that option b is the way to go because it would eliminate some of the headaches by associating the user account with the ID, instead of devices.

Windows 2008 Server R2 Std - question BPA
I built a new Windows 2008 R2 Standard Server and configured as a domain controller. When you run the BPA I get the following error, which I can not solve:

    Question:
The default domain controllers policy is not in force on the OR OR = Domain Controllers, DC = WRIGHT.
    Impact:
If the Group Policy settings that are defined in the default domain controllers policy are not applied to domain controllers, Active Directory operations may fail.
    Resolution:
Link the default domain controllers policy to the ORGANIZATION OR unit = Domain Controllers, DC = WRIGHT

The default domain controllers policy is linked to the domain controllers OU. I dun dcdiag and the only failure is NCSecDesc but I don't plan to add an RODC to the forest. When I run the resulting strategy game I can see domain controller policy has been applied.
