SSD drive to complete due to video rendering?

Hello. My apologies for what will probably be a stupid question, but I'm not as savvy as many of you here in computer science.

Basically I film games of hockey on ice for my local team and product highlights a week for YouTube. I have change the images by using the first Pro CC and then import this project after effects CC to add in the little effects. I then rendered using Adobe Media Encoder.

All these filed is saved on my hard drive (D :) However I noticed that after my drive SSD (c) process is quickly fill and I don't see why. I have Windows 8 and is filled with my folder of drive C: 100 + GB user still when I open the folder and add the total of its content, it is little more than 16 GB. I'm sure it's related to video editing, unless it's a pure coincidence that I noticed it only after completing each set of highlights. No doubt a temporary file folder so that I can not locate?

Any with any suggestions I would appreciate. I don't know I'm missing something obvious here.

Your a lot.

C drive space http://forums.adobe.com/thread/1007934?tstart=0 see answer 4 for the parameter that you must manually change... and then delete the old temporary files

-Check C:\Users\\AppData\Roaming\Adobe directory for unnecessary data

  • Why this video rendering takes a long time?

OS X Mavericks, Photoshop cc 2014, 2011 core i7 3.4 imac with 32 GB of ram, 256GB ssd drive work, 2 GB video card.

See images for the configuration of the layers, etc. and export settings. Each 'shift' is a jpeg of a MB placed as a smart object. Each lower third is about 2 MB, placed as a smart object.

Rendering takes about 24 hours to complete. Why is it so much to take? I tried this on other machines, but they're all around the same time. Is there a better way to do it? Thank you, in advance, for your help!

How long we video clips and I see at least one you have added a camera raw smart filter.   I don't know how a smart filter works on a video clip. However if Photoshop need tenant one full frame for each video frame and filter each image frame with ACR then encodes images in a video stream to mp4, it could be a very time consuming process for nearly 170 000 frames.  Have you tried encoding mp4 without using the smart filter ACR adjustment? Also, you do not show the range of the timeline.

  • Installation internal SSD drive and storage of documents on external hard drive

    Hello!

I have an older iMac and I want to speed it up by installing a SSD drive.  Currently, my internal hard drive has 2 TB of storage, and I don't want to pay for one SSD of this size.  I consider the use of an external drive for my files and using the SSD internal applications and the operating system.  Can this work?  What is the internal SSD of minimum size I should get, more or less, according to my number of apps?   The documents will open at a decent speed?   It is up to me to use an external hard drive with a Firewire instead of USB connection?  Thank you!

    Hi Dan:

Apps it really depends how much you use and what types of data you want to keep in vs SSD HARD drive.

120-128 GB SSD: USD price: 60-70 price range.

for 250/256 GB SSD: about USD: price range of 80-90

for 500/512 GB SSD: about USD: price range of 130-150

An external 2 TB drive: for laptop (USB bus-powered - usually 2.5 "HDD included): 90 us $, for the largest 3.5" Office style HDD: 90 USD

    For me:

I store all my music on the external network drive (RAID 1 configuration, 2 TB, and 50 percent full this time), all my documents/pictures are still in my 500 GB SSD.

I don't have much video projects on my SSD.

I used about 200 GB in my internal SSD flash drive

Good luck finding your best solution.

Having a few issues with the victory 8 DVD pro included with my laptop.

BIOS is set as UEFI + secure boot, win 8 pro dvd starts and I can start recovery, after a while, he asks disc 2 and starts to recover win 8.

After completion and reboot, it does not start and shows just the toshiba logo.

Factory hdd with SSD OCZ VERTEX 4 is replaced by the bios.

    What could be the problem?

    > Drive HARD factory is replaced with SSD OCZ VERTEX 4 recognized by the Bios.

You have the same start-up problems 8 win using the original HDD equipped Tecra R950?

From my point of view, it would be possible that this laptop does not start successfully because of the new SSD.

I recommend you check the previous HARD disk.
If the laptop could start correctly, the problem is related to the new SSD drive.

In some cases, it would be possible that the SSD firmware must be updated.

The answer would be 'YES '.  The procedure, parts, video and are explained here.

I have a link only as an example.  If your cloning the original HD, you must follow the steps by the cloning software. Be aware of the differences in the original size of the HD, I would keep side (to protect your OS system) after the installation of your SSD. If you want a secondary data drive, pick-up a new HD.

I just bought qosmio g30-137 of the Germany. My laptop had a German version of windows and I installed winXP PRO Greek edition. I have a problem with the graphics card driver. I downloaded from the TOSHIBA site. While I do Setup search the driver files that does not exist and I can't complete installation. I would like to know if anyone knows where I can find a driver to complete the procedure or if anyone knows what the problem is and how I resolve?
Also starting from TOSHIBA site some installation instructions that explain how to do the installation with the appropriate sequence. Also, I would like to know where I can find the chipset driver?

    Hello

Have you installed the Windows from the original CD of Microsoft?
Why you suggest that the graphics driver has a malfunction?

I guess you can not complete the original installation of the Win operating system due to the RAID driver and graphics driver. This unit has been delivered with RAID function and you need to install the RAID driver at the beginning of the installation of the OS.

In addition there is also an instruction and installation utility chipset on the Toshiba driver page.

  • Conversion of SSD drive for the reader to boot on m7 with Win8

I just bought a new m7-j020dx (product code E4S19UA #ABA) with Windows 8 from Best Buy.  Unfortunately, it came with a standard hard disc (HDD), and I would like to install a Solid State Drive (SSD).  I have an Intel 320 and 530 series-reader.  But I was not able to get a bootable from that disc.

The first thing I tried was cloning the drive to plant on a new disk of 530 series using AOMEI Backupper.  I got an error writing on the partition of the third.  I thought that maybe the drive was bad, so I tried again with an Intel 320 series SSD drive.  Same mistake.

The next attempt was to clone the disk to another disk of 1 TB (connected via USB), reduce the main partition with MiniTool and clone of the 320 series SSD.  The cloning went well.  However, with the new installed SSD, the computer will not start, and I get "Error0x0000225", something about a file not found.  Disable "secure starting" in the BIOS setup has not helped (I did after the clone).

So I thought I would do a clean install of win 8.  I generated a recovery on a 32 GB USB SanDisk player disc using Win8 recovery disk generator (as indicated on the site of HP).  I then ran the program of recovery out of the USB drive and after a few hours of software installation driver and several reboots, I get a message from HP, indicating that the installation was not complete.  Reinstall did not help.

I don't know what the problem is.

What the recovery disk USB one made from the original bad HARD drive (we get only a single shot at it)?  Do I need media of the order of HP on disks?  Are there problems with the use of SSDS on those computers?  Should I not a BIOS settig correctly (UEFI)?  Is there some Intel storage drivers clutter it?

I think my next step will be to create a disc Image and place it on the SSD drive.  But I doubt that this solves the problem with the start to it.

Another option might be to build fresh using Win8 media, then download and install each driver from the HP website.

Any ideas out there in the land of the experts?

    Thank you, erico, for advice.

I tried this with 320 (160 GB) series and SSD 530 series (120 GB and 240 GB).  Actually, I have not tried on the 240GB again, just two other. . The 240 GB SSD is the best candidate. During cloning, using a larger SSD is the best for worms down the road when other programs are installed.

So far, I've done everything suggested this that caramel:

-Updated the BIOS for later: F.43. 03/01/2014 (HP support site).

-Installed Intel Rapid Storage Technology v. 12.9.0.1001 (taken from the Intel site).

-Updated the firmware of the 530 series 120 GB using Intel SSD Toolbox v2.0.10 of 06/20/2013 (from Intel).

-The series 160 GB 320 firmware was up to date.

-Installed the Data Migration Software Intel v. 2.0, dated 29/04/2013 (taken from the Intel site).

-Updated environmental Support UEFI v5.3.3.0 dated 26/09/2013 (on the HP support site)

    -Enabled secure boot.

Even using Data Migration tool Intel did not work.  Before Support UEFI environment, data migration tool would go to the step to reset but does not start what whether manually or to another.  Support UEFI environment, the software says simply "Operation failed." Following the manual data migration softwarecan be a bit tricky. There are a few things about the bootind of the Acronis loader * which must be carefully designed for the operation to succeed.  Intel also has a forum which can help as well.

When I hit F10 and in the Configuration of the system, the Intel RST is not available.  So I suspect there is something not right here. The suggestion of updating the BIOS of caramel didn't across before it was made. It was not necessary and therefore not a good plan. I suggest that you use the Diagnostics UEFI and rollback to the previous BIOS. If you need advice with those just let me know. I have a few images that should show you what you should see.

A number of things, I noticed I did upgrades:

-The site of HP support for my computer has Intel Rapid Storage Technology 12.0.7.1002 v, dated 30/06/2013 is earlier than on the Intel site.  Maybe I should roll back. That must be rolled back to the version shipped by HP. I see you introduced makes as stated in a previous post.

-The HP support site has two distinct "RST", storage technology products a quick and a quick start technology.

Intel has "RST" next to their rapid storage technology, so I might be confused.  I have installed the driver of the technology of quick start on the HP support site so if it is not already on the computer, perhaps it is not running and is the "RST" which is the missing piece.  In fact, same caramel said I need fast boot technology driver and then linked to download Rapid Storage Technology driver. Do not pay attention to what it says caramel.

Here are two of the same?  Support site of HP with two drivers and version numbers, I suspect not.   Any ideas would be useful.  They are indeed different.

The Intel Rapid Storage Technology softpaq sp61600.exe driver provides NCQ (native command qeueing) features for the SATA controller.

The Intel Rapid storage Technology driver softpaq sp61325.exe is supposed to improve the SSD or mSATA consumption of hibernation and also imrove the resume from hibernation.

You can't even consider installing either softpaq to clone the drive. It is always better to keep things simple.

The SATA cable USB you use has two connectors usb at one end?  It is necessary to provide enough power for the SSD for data migration is not. Connect each usb connector to a different usb port.

  • Replace merge with ssd drive, cannot be done?

My hard drive of my iMac 27 ", end 2012, is running out. It has a fusion of 1 TB drive.

I asked the service guy how much it would cost to replace the 1 TB with a 512 GB SSD drive.

He said that one cannot do. He claims that the only thing that can be installed is a 'disk original Apple', given that she is a fusion player, he has several sensors that a regular disk or an ssd, does not.

Is this true? I thought drive merger was only a software technology "pair" a small disc with an older hard drive ssd.

Of course, it is possible, but understand that the HARD drive in the computer has a special sensor used for the detection of the temperature and the fan control. In addition, what you ask is probably not an Apple authorized the change. A Fusion drive uses the features of Mac OS X CoreStorage to create the Fusion drive and manage. However, in itself a Fusion drive does not require any special equipment unless one you have used flash PCI-e instead of a real SSD memory.

If your computer is no longer under warranty and complete loss of any future Apple support doesn't bother you, then you can make the change yourself.

    3. is there an official Universal SATA drive 2nd HARD SSD Caddy drive for CD / DVD-ROM optical Bay of HP, and is it safe to install no hp caddy on my new laptop computer.

    Kind regards

    Here is the Service Manual:

    Manual

It is a 9.5 mm optical drive. See page 63 for removal instructions. You can use any optical drive SATA 9.5 mm hard drive adapter tray. HP is no 'official' part, so you must use a version of alternative, and they are widely available. Try jacobsparts.com.

However, the SATA interface for the optical drive is slower and will not support booting from the hard disk into the adapter. So I advise you not to put a SSD in one of these adapters because it will not run at full speed.

The optimal configuration is an SSD as main boot drive and a mechanical drive in pure storage adapter.

Unfortunately, access to the hard drive inside the laptop is a little difficult and potentially void the warranty if you mess up anything in the process. The manual contains instructions to access the hard disk (p. 88), and these videos show the removal of the top cover (on a closely related model) which is the hardest part:

  • M6-1035dx Pavilion: clone SSD drive cannot locate the recovery Partition

I recently bought a HD 500 GB of SSD to replace the original that came with the laptop.  The SSD drive I bought is slightly smaller than the original one.   I used the cloning software is Macrium.  Partitions, I am interested in cloning are the HPTools and recovery.  Stand have been cloned successfully by the software.  I put the active recovery as well.

After swapping the drives, the system starts the HPTools immediately, but the options for the restoration part are "grayed out".  I can't access it.  I tried several times, and this is where I am stuck.  It seems that the recovery partition is not detected by the cloned HPTools.

I do not have the recovery DVD, but I have the original HD with partitions intact and they work just fine because I recently test the recovery process.

I missed well to clone the original HD somehow that the SSD is unable to detect the partition?  Maybe I missed a step?  The difference in the size of the hard drive causes a problem in the recovery process?  How can I remedy the situation and use my new SSD?

Thank you for all your advice.

Try the complete sector-by-sector disk cloning.  If you use Macrium, you will need a paid version. The free version just do enough for the advanced cloning procedure you need.  See the following web document to compare versions.

    http://www.Macrium.com/reflectfree.aspx

BTW, an SSD detects nothing. This is the BIOS and the operating system that detects hardware, firmware and software.

You can use HP recovery media successfully on an SSD or not, that has at least 160 GB of capacity. Your 500 GB SSD certainly has enough capacity.
