SSD in acer aspire m5811

Hello community,

I recently bought an SSD for my PC (one aspire M5811), because I wanted my computer to become faster. It is also a good time to reinstall Windows. So I installed the SSD and I can see it on my computer, but when I put in the recovery disc I made when I came to the computer, I can't choose my SSD to install Windows on. Is this possible with recovery disks, or do I need a clean windows CD.

I searched all day for this problem and can't seem to find a solution for this.

Thanks in advance

EDIT: I also changed my graphics card to a GTX560 earlier. It works fine, no problems at all.

The installation of the OS is simple: just that the SSD is plugged when you do that. After the OS is fully installed, stop and connect Platinum.

That all of your data and documents on Platinum:
Open your C: drive and navigate to the Users\YourUserName folder. Copy down all the folder names.
Open your flat disk (E: on my system) and create a users folder. Then create a folder yourusername statement. Then create all the folders you copied down in the votre_nom_utilisateur folder. Close to everything.
Open your C: drive again and return to the Users\YourUserName. Right click on the first file in there and choose Properties. Click the location tab, and then click on move. Find the first folder that you created on the flat disc (probably E:\Users\YourUserName\Contacts), and then click Select a folder. Answer Yes.
Do this for all folders (Documents E:\Users\YourUserName\My Documents C:\Users\YourUserName\My, etc.). Now, all your documents and downloads will automatically record on Platinum.

You will need to manually select the flat disk as the installation directory (I use E:\Programs\ProgramName) for each program that installation when you install it.

  • Adding an SSD for Acer Aspire VN7 - 591G - 70RT (need help)

    Hello

I have an addition an Acer Aspire VN7-591 G-70RT with a slow 5400 RPM 1 TB WD Blue that creates a bottleneck in my laptop.

I checked on Crucial to see if there are compatible SSD for my laptop which recommended:

MX200 crucial m2 Type 2280 (Single Sided) 250 GB internal SSD

I was wondering, do anyone know if this information is correct? I was having mixed information online, 250 GB wouldn't cut my storage needs, if I could only get a 2.5 SSD "so my intention is to have an SSD 250 installed and my 1 TB HARD drive.

Also, if the SSD was not the main drive would I still see the benefits of installing games who him? As in would be the existing WD blue always be causing a bottleneck?

Any help with this would be appreciated!

I have the device works now, I installed the MX200 Crucial m2 250G without any problem. Here's how.

    WEAR AN ANTI STATIC BAND:

Step 1) remove all the screws on the underside of the laptop

Step 2) use spudger or credit GENTLY lift a gap between the keyboard and the base, then use the credit card to slide slowly into the space to jump open clips, NOT FORCE.

Step 3) (OPTIONAL) remove the keyboard connectors by moving clip and gently remove the cable from the Jack. However the HARD drive slipped in for me without necessary to detach.

Step 4) unplug original WD HDD blue reversing the clip and disconnect the cable

Step 5) close laptop together and boot with Windows 10 USB install

Step 6) install windows on new SSD (for me windows automatically activated via the BIOS/UEFI) if it doesn't happen for you, simply re-attatch the original HARD disk.

Step 7) if the activation is successful, again set HARD drive and original format. I have kept all the original ACER RECOVERY and Partitions (Healthy) in case I need to restore factory default, but formatted primary partition.

  • Hi, install SSD on Acer Aspire VN7 - 591 G-70RT and setting for the primary boot device?

    Hello

I have an Acer Aspire VN7 - 591 G-70RT that came with a Western Digital blue 5400 RPM HARD drive which is limitation of my performance of laptops. I contacted Acer recently to ask for upgrades that might be made and they confirmed that I could build an SSD 256 GB and up to 16 GB of ram.

I bought an SSD now and install, but I wanted to ask how I could continue on the definition of the SSD as my main drive.

At this point, I guess I could install the SSD, then select it as primary boot device in the BIOS by pressing F2, and then install windows 10 via my USB. If this should be good to reboot or the existence of windows on my current HARD drive causes a conflict?

    Thank you

  • Addition of SSD on Acer Aspire E E5 - 573 G - 52 3

    Hi all

I bought a laptop Acer Aspire E E5 - 573 G - 52-3, it comes with a 1 TB hard drive and no optical drive. I would like to know if it is possible to install an SSD in the Bay for optical drive with a shopping cart. I just need to know if there is a connection for her at the back of the optical drive Bay, because this model does not come with the optical drive already I'm just not sure.

It won't be easy, enough to tell when it happens, just remove the cover of the bay and look for and see, but I want to go ahead and order the drive and caddy if it will work so they will arrive at the same time.

  • Acer Aspire V15 Nitro replace SSD HARD drive

I bought this laptop in March 2015. This laptop comes with 1 TB of HDD.

I wanted to replace the HDD SSD but I called the service center (Service of Highpoint), Acer technician told me that there is no way to replace with SSD because the port is different, any SSD can also compatible with this laptop HARD drive port.

This make me very confuse because I search in google, replace with SSD is quite possible.

So I'm here to ask for advice. Hope can get a response. Thank you.

    Published:

My laptop model: Acer Aspire V15 Nitro Black Edition (VN7 - 591 G)

    -Core i7 4710Q

    -12 GB OF DDR3 RAM

    -HARD DRIVE 1 TB

    -NVIDIA GeForce GTX 860M

you have 2 options on your laptop:

    (1) switch for one SSD 1 TB HARD drive

    (2) add an SSD on form factory M2 on its location (top-left, near the fan), so you can have installed SSD and HDD

the second option, other users have done so, and sometimes they have had some problems during the recording of the SSD as first boot device (or window Boot Manager), since the BIOS tries to boot from SATA port.

You can force it by pressing F12 at startup and select the appropriate boot device.

    It is up to you.

  • RAM and SSD for my new Acer Aspire R7 752-5893

Suggestions for the type of RAM and SSD memory for my new Acer Aspire R7 752-5893? TX in advance.

You will need RAM SO-DIMM 204 format pins for your laptop. DDR3-1600 (PC3-12800, also known as) should work a treat.

Your SSD should have an MSATA interface, so depending on what is here right now, you can place in a Plextor M6M disc.

There are a few live hidden on the chassis of R7 - you can take a look here and see how to open it, and then you will know what players and the RAM slots you have available.

My question is if I can remove the HARD drive of 1 TB of the laptop and put in this 1 TB of Samsung SSD? The laptop comes with 256 GB SSD already installed inside, so I was wondering if I could rock with this SSD and the Samsung TB 1 one as well.

  • The warranty will be void if I upgrade the RAM on the Acer Aspire Timeline Ultra M3-581?

The warranty will be void if I upgrade the RAM on the Acer Aspire Timeline Ultra M3-581? I read that one of the slots of RAM is expandable to 8 GB. Also some of the models M3 have SSDS, according to my specifications mine is not, is it possible to put my own in?

    Thank you.

    Nice day

    1. regarding upgrading to SSD and memory size max, please send me the part number of your machine or your serial number and I will advise you with accurate information.

    2. with regard to upgrading the ram, you can do it, BUT if damage you no matter which component while improving the security, then the warranty is voided. Also note that if you upgrade the ram, Acer will only cover its own warranty parts. If the ram you add becomes faulty, you will need to return the ram to the person / reseller you buy.

    Kind regards

  • Laptop does not start: error BCD on Acer Aspire M3-581

    Hello

Acer Aspire M3 581PTG my son has stopped booting.  At the start, immediately after the Acer logo, it now shows a blue screen with the message:

    Recovery

Certain required information does not appear in the data of Configuration startup file. File: \BCD Error code: 0xc000000d

He then refers to using the tools of recovery and the media, but we cannot locate Acer recovery disks and do not remember if the laptop came with everything.  I started by using a normal 8.1 Windows installation CD and tried to use different repair options, but nothing worked (perhaps because Acer has a SSD and HDD so need a specialized repair utility?).

We contacted Acer but just received a generic response to do a factory reset.  If anyone has encountered this error or is able to offer a solution?

    Thank you.

    Try this:

If you still have problems starting, I suspect a hardware failure at this point, maybe the SSD or HARD disk.

  • Acer Aspire switch 10 - Boot USB / Windows 8.1 installation of USB

    Hello
I recently bought Switch 10. As it has only 32 GB SSD cut into 24 GB of windows and 8 GB partition for recovery, I tried to merge these partition to get rid of the recovery and have only a single partition SSD. Longbstory short, I failed and got a blue screen, then a restart and now I have this:
    http://i.imgur.com/NmAkhgO.jpg

I have Windows 8.1 the official site of Microsoft, I have orginal CDkey (not OEM Acer's). The version I downloaded is a 32/64-bit Installer (I think, but it can be 32-bit only)
I tried to configure the BIOS by myself, but it always puts me the blue screen of windows (with error 0000225).
I provided the BIOS with the default settings screens: http://imgur.com/a/jtyN2

I prepared the USB stick to a .iso image with a program called Rufus, GPT partitioning system.

Then I changed the BIOS settings to allow non-secure startup and boot from USB HDD first, and when you start, I hit F12. But I still get that: http://imgur.com/yE48diG

-What would I do? Be able to start Windows 8.1 installator, clear all partitions on SSD and make sure that you have a 32GB with windows.
-What I need? Help, because I can not boot from USB and run Windows 8.1 installator.

I found the solution, everything works fine.

To do this, you must keep two things in mind:

    1. you may not use Microsoft official .iso for the USB program - it does create a bootable USB stick for UEFI bios, the official downloader for Windows have the ability to create USB bootable .iso downloaded, but it is not able to do.

You must create bootable ISO using software of Rufus (type simpy rufus in google or LINK), then all you have to do is to make sure that you have selected GPT partition scheme for your bootable usb key and the FAT32 file system.

    2. the most improtant thing which is our Acer Aspire Switch 10 supports ONLY 32-bit Windows, just all the instalators Windows that contains the version 64 bits are wrong. Conclusion is simple, you need only 32 bits instalator, the 32-bit/64-bit custom works (like only instalation of 64-bit that is obvious)

    Hope this has helped.
