• Integration of EBS with SSO/OID/OAM

  People - I did not understand if this is the right forum to post.
  
  We run 12.1 E-business - and have enabled SSO using the normal route of authentication OID/LDAP in AD from a server Linux X 86 - 64
  
  While we run E-Business on linux Z, the SSO/OID instance is running on a stand-alone server for x 86-64 linux.
  
  My question is this - is being replaced by Oracle Access Manager (11g) SSO?
  
  Also the application server is being deprecated in favor of Weblogic server for forms and reports in the E-Business Suite for future versions?
  
  If I'm level OID 10.1.4.3 to OAM 11 g, everyone sings the steps successfully... There is a lot of information available on 1304550.1, 876539.1, 975182.1 and 1286596.1. These documents, however, take you in circles...
  
  Can someone who has just experienced a succesfull install and integration in E Business Suite, point me in the right direction?

• Integration with existing SSO/OID infra existing EBS.

  We have an EBS existing 11i (11.5.10.cu2) with users, accounts, and we are looking to implement SSO.
  We use environmental SSO/OID current servers related to the "Apex Applications", OID is populated with Microsoft AD. We have like 10% of users_ids of OID and FND_USERS shift. We can use e-mail.
  
  We seek to extend our SSO/OID to our EBS courses.
  I went through most of the documentation and I was unable to find our implementationscenario
  
  Our SSO/OID is done and working.
  
  But how to validate this environment vs. EBS?
  Is there a document for the steps we have to follow?

• vSphere 5.0 and 5.5 SSO design question

  Hi all

  Currently we have a configuration with two virtual center servers installed.  One at our Production site and one on our site of Dr.  Our site of Production and the location of the DR are in a different location in the city, they are currently on a dish network, but this is subject to change to treat us like a totally different place.  We also currently do not use vCenter Linked Mode because we don't have two vCenters and like separation, however if its requried we can install it.

  The plan is to upgrade the DR site first to iron out everything before the upgrade of the production, with that said we where thinking about install SSO as such:

  We think where to install the first SSO on the site of DR and when completely modernize us our production site install an another SSO as another site to keep the replcatio SSO in place aka option:

  I wanted to just a few oppinons on this choice and if this is the best way to go with what we design.

  I mean, this is Option 3 will be necessary if you want to use related modes.

  With regard to your questions:

  1. Yes, you can keep the two separate vCenter and a simple installation or see option 1 install both

  2 linked Mode requires option 3 works. But you can still use Option 3 without related modes if you want to have the replication of single-domain SSO (means that if you create a user in SSO VC1, it is replicated to the other SSO).

  Let's say you do not use option 3 for your second vCenter, subsequently if you decide to use bound mode, you must uninstall and reinstall SSO for your second vCenter to shape Option 1 to 3 Option replication of your first vCenter

• Integration with Active Directory or SSO OID?

  We seek in our options of single sign-on integration with OBIEE Oracle EBS 11.5.10 on top. Currently we have MS Active Directory and Oracle Internet Directory with our users synchronized upward in both.
  
  Can anyone recommend which is better for the OBIEE LDAP/SSO integration and provide the pros and cons of each? Thanks in advance

  If you have any OID then use with AD, you also an external table if you want to be able to define groups, CheminPortail etc. Groups and users can currently be imported, ad, only authenticated against it. It works fine but OID should be admin much more straightforward.

  I have a case where a user did not updated in OID when his account was changed to IOM. This led to an inconsistency of data between OID and IOM.

  What field? Is the value on the profile IOM you want to propagate in lookup which contains triggers from the table of the usr?

  I have the following question
  
  1 OVD so I understand can make AD and OID look like a single LDAP. But I have a question that OVD can replace OID?
  is it as a way to avoid the replication of data between AD in OID implementing TPM? This means that user data in AD synchronize directly with the ERP database.

  You can use OVD before DIO, but not for the EBS SSO scenario. In this case, go directly to the OID.

• Remove the OID if cannot contact the server?

  I have an instance clone of our Production system which is now in a different environment. I'm trying to register SSO/OID and not able to make such a body OID is recorded as it was before. When I try to unregister the OID I can't because the server could not be contacted. How to remove the old reference or force the OID to unregister?
  
  I'm unable to open a session because of SSO is not approved. If I register SSO, then when I login I get errors on you do not have permissions to do any account I try so I'm not able to enter programs to check the settings.

• How the portal is mapped in the schema of the database database?

  How the portal is mapped to the schema of the database selected in the user profile of portal to the database? It is my understanding that each user connects to the database as a 'Portal' that is configured by default in the dad under PlsqlDatabaseUsername. How the database schema selected in the portal user profile come into play?

  Oracle Portal users are not defined in the database. They are defined as inputs in your LDAP server (Oracle Internet Directory) below the tree defined as a basis for research of the users in the Oracle Portal:

  Portal generator > Administration > global settings > tab: SSO/OID

  Therefore, there is no mapping between users defined in Oracle Internet Directory and the users defined in your database.

  To connect to the database, Oracle Portal uses the authentication of the Proxy (http://docs.oracle.com/cd/B28359_01/java.111/b31224/proxya.htm). Connections are made mainly by the user PORTAL_PUBLIC (who is often mentioned as part of the database schema in the user properties). The schema of database in the portal user profile defines the schema that is used to perform the procedures in the database of Portal metadata repository. Theoretically, you can use a different schema than Oracle Portal, but I have not seen all cases where this has been helpful.

  We put under profile option at the time of the implementation of SSO in apps: -.

  SSO Type application: SSWAw/SSO
  SSO Login typical applications: the two
  Auto Link user SSO applications: activate
  SSO, LDAP Synchronization application: enable
  Enable SSO OID identity applications add event: activate
  User Applications Link with OID user with the same username: activate

  Check these values in your env, first option 2 profile should be like the others, it can change depending on your configuration.
