Standard Dell keyboard and mouse

Can the standard keyboard that comes with an 8700 (not special edition) be plugged into a powered hub?  What is a peripheral USB 2 or 3

All dell usb mouse and keyboards can be connected to a hub.

HOWEVER, it does not meet F2 or F8 or F12 when you do this.

This document will show you how to sync mouse wireless and keyboard if they connect buttons.

You don't need to turn off the wireless mouse. If you have problems with the batteries run out frequently, it might be useful, but I've never needed to do.

Two different sets of wireless mice/keyboards are not usually a problem. If there is a conflict, go through the process of connection of each game.

No, it isn't.  That's why the dongle is mapped to the specific keyboard. ITS NO BLUETOOTH and IT is NOT universal.

  • G11 keyboard and mouse G9

    Hello

I have a DELL Inspiron 1720, G11 keyboard, mouse G9 and vista32 home.  Every now and then some programs or games freeze.  If I unplug the keyboard and mouse and their connection back (USB) program work impeccably.  All the drivers are up to date.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you!

    Hi bjenk007,

To help solve this problem, you can start Windows Vista by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

The following link has steps showing how to perform the clean boot.
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135

    (1) perform the clean boot (check the link to perform the clean boot)

    (2) enable half the services

    (3) determine whether the problem returns

    (4) enable half of the startup items

    (5) determine if the problem returns

    (6) repeat the steps above until you find out which program or service is causing the issue

After you determine the startup item or the service that is causing the problem, contact the manufacturer of the program to determine if the problem can be solved. Or, run the System Configuration utility, and then click to clear the check box of the element of the problem.

Note: Please make sure that the computer is configured to start as usual by following step 7 of article
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/92913 5

    Hope this information is useful.

Let me know if it worked.

    All the best!

  • Keyboard and mouse PS/2 tv_ConfigMgrErr24

Whenever I bring my hibernation of the keyboard and mouse desktop PC take a long time to begin to answer - usually only after disconnection/re-plugging them a few times.  In other words, that it can take 5 minutes or so just to the connection which can be a little frustrating.  A diagnostic report of systems (from reliability and performance monitor) pointed out two errors:

The unit, PS/2 Standard keyboard, reports "tv_configMgrErr24"...

The device, mouse PS/2 Standard, reports "tv_configMgrErr24"...

The advice is to update drivers - but when I do this via the Device Manager it tells me that both drivers are already installed and up to date.  I am reluctant to uninstall devices (as specified by the System Diagnostics report) that I don't want to take the risk to lose them and have then no HIDs!  Is it a risk?

Any help and advice you can offer would be much appreciated.

  • PowerEdge 840: USB keyboard and mouse not working not.

    Hello everyone.

Yesterday, I pursached a used Dell Poweredge 840 to function as a backup server, I'm having a few problems with it but I can't understand.

I installed the server with Windows Server 2003 x 86 edition and downloaded the drivers on the Dell site. It works perfectly, except for one problem:

USB keyboards and mouse refuse to work.

PS/2 works fine however, but any USB keyboard or mouse will not work.

Flash USB drives read very well, therefore I used to recover some files on the machine before, but it was connected to the network, USB keyboard and mouse do not work.

They are not recognized at startup and do not allow to enter the setup of the BIOS after Windows has started, that they are not always recognized. Windows displays the device as unknown device.

I tried to boot from a live CD of 14.04 Lubuntu, in which the USB keyboard and mouse do not work either. Only PS/2 wants to work.

I have tried different types of USB mouse:

    • Microsoft mouse
    • Acer OEM mouse
    • Mouse laser Logitech M-U0007

None of them could work, although they work fine on my laptop, the main file server which is a model of HP and Dell Optiplex desktop computer.

I tried a few different USB keyboards as well, but they refuse to work.

I ended up borrowing a pair of keyboard and mouse PS/2 to configure the server, but I want it to work with my USB keyboard and mouse.

Just for the record: the USB flash drives do not work very well, it's just the keyboard and mouse is not working.

Anyone know how I can get there?

    Thanks in advance,

    Dominique

    Hello.

Unplug all devices connected to the USB and PS/2 ports. Unplug the AC power cable, wait about 1 minute and then press in and hold the button for about 15 seconds. Reconnect the power and power on the server. Connect the keyboard and mouse to the USB ports and try again.

  • Keyboard and mouse not working not not after resetting Windows 10

I have a Dell Inspiron 530 on win 7 now upgraded to win10 1 to August 15. All good until a few days ago, when my wireless keyboard and mouse began paying up, keys not giving the correct characters or symbols. I found a site that offers to win 10, that I did a reset and now I have a PC that looks perfect on the monitor, but not on keyboard. I can't control or use the PC. I plugged my old KB & mouse USB but still no controls in Windows, I tried searching the keyboard and USB settings in the BIOS but can only find switches to change the speed high or low speed USB, tried two and no change. I can't find any advanced settings.

I tried to find a way to get into safe mode to make changes, but I can't find how to do this without KB or mouse.

I would appreciate any help with this problem

    Hello

Thanks for posting your query in Microsoft Community.

This could be due to problem of incompatibility with the keyboard and mouse drivers. I suggest you use another computer and download the latest compatible keyboard/mouse drivers with the latest operating system (Windows 8.1 is). Download the drivers in the flash player and then install the same drivers in Windows 10 machine and check.

If the problem persists, install the same driver in compatibility mode for an earlier version of Windows.

    a. do the driver installation file right click and select Properties and then tap or click on the compatibility tab.

    b. check in the run this program in compatibility mode for: box.

    c. press or click the menu drop down and select a previous operating system, and then tap or click OK.

    d. try to install the driver and verify.

Please refer to: make programs more compatible with this version of Windows (information is good for Windows 10 institutions)

Hope this information is useful. Please feel free to answer in the case where you are facing in the future other problems with Windows.

PC runs, but does not start. Monitor, keyboard and mouse with no signal. Pretty much. And when you want me to remove the battery of the bios, or whatever, it seems tight and hard to get out because it is surrounded by other elements.

All fans work, the power/battery or anything that works I think that, since there is a fan on the right where it is and it seems to work. I remember what happens before, I don't know, but before that, there are many gels. This error below was made before all this happened, but I managed to run f8 and then run normally until it freezes again. Then, after that, it runs but does not start. No beeps etc. The best fans will have plenty of vouches and Bravo to wherever you like me to vouch or maybe send the great service that you provide to administrators if that's even possible, haha.

    Thanks in advance.

It is a sign of a lack of food.  Looks like you have a desktop computer?

Power supplies run about $50.  It is a rectangular box at the corner of the system in which the power supply will from the outside.  It's a pretty standard form in most of the PC and with a little investigation thorough replacements can be found.

It is usually held in place by 4 screws and can be held in place with a spring clip.

Most essential, is that you need to buy a replacement with the right number of straight plug forms to adapt to your PC.

This seems more complicated than it really is and takes about 5 to 10 minutes to do the replacement.

Look at the power output of the power supply failure and buy a new, more powerful.  New desktop PC usually come usually with a diet under size and what are the causes these failures is too strong a request for devices you have connected.  So, buy one with a higher power rating.  Usually about 500 Watts does the trick.

If you do not feel upwards to this task, a technician should not charge you much like this.

  • Uninstall the usb keyboard and mouse

I am swapping a USB keyboard and a USB mouse for a combo keyboard and mouse Logitech MK360 wireless on my Dell Optiplex gx620 desktop (Windows 7).  Do I pull up the Device Manager, go to the properties for the keyboard and the mouse and click on uninstall BEFORE or after HAVING physically remove connectors USB keyboard and mouse to the USB ports on the Office?  Should I use before removing connectors USB Safely Remove Hardware?  Thank you

USB keyboard/mouse can be disconnected without using the icon "remove."  In fact, I would be shocked if they were still on the list safely remove at all.

But to answer your first question, which depends on whether you want to keep pilots autour for future use.  If this is not the case, go ahead and uninstall the device before unplugging.

This is equivalent to the old rule of iron of computing: If you have important files on your PC, then you need to back up an external medium regularly. Problem request not do or wait until you have a major problem. Fortunately, Windows 7 gives you a loop hole. Here's how it works:
    1. get a disk external 2.5 "in a USB case.
    2. connect it to the PC.
    3. set your BIOS so that it uses the DVD drive as its primary boot device.
    4. start the computer with the Windows 7 repair CD or with your Windows 7 installation DVD.
    5. press a button if you are prompted to start from the DVD.
    6. When prompted, select "Safe Mode Command Prompt".
    7. connect as administrator if you are prompted.
    8. Select repair when prompted.
    9. Select command prompt.
    10. save your files or folders on the external USB drive (or a flash drive).
If you are not familiar with the commands of copy in the command line environment, ask a friend gifted in computer science to help you.

After solving the problem of keyboard and mouse, do you a favor and use the USB disk as backup media. On a regular basis.
