  One of my clients uses VMware ESXi 5.5 on their HP BL465c Gen7. They have no driver problems.

  Now, as they migrate to the ESXi6, they think its OK to go with as before ISO instead of the one customized for HP servers.

  Anyone could shed some light on this.

  I guess it worked because the server was in ESXi HCL.

  Is there something beyond pilots to use ISO standard HP.

  What is VMware recommendation when it come to support.

  Yes, go with the RESUME on ISO measure as Hardware drivers and firmware are interdependent with OS ESXi and secondly if you try to upgrade the ESXi then yes HP image will be more advantageous in regards to the latest firmware and drivers.

• ISO vSphere does not start

  I try to install vsphere on a new system with a card mother Gigabyte GA-X58A and I don't get too far at this point...  The situation is that when I try to boot from the DVD that contains the standard iso esxi, nothing happens.  I have a fast blink, no screen change, nada.  I am able to start a Win7 disc from the same machine and I am also able to load the iso (disk mounted) esxi in a VM and windows startup.  So I confirmed the iso esxi is functional and the system with the Gigabyte card starts a dvd but I am at a loss of what be it further.  I'm a noob to virtualization (if it isn't already obvious enough ) and I would appreciate any input from more experienced.

  You will need to find a piece of software to burn the image on CD/DVD. Copy of the ISO file will not work. Check with the software that you did the DVD with to see if there is an option to "burn Image". If this is not the case, there are a lot of freeware tools that you can download. A google search for ISO image to burn is expected to increase much.

  You cannot mount the USB in the ESXi console, but you can do the following

  (1) on your PC management, get your hands on the ISO file and then copy it into your ESXi host (right click on the data store in the vSphere client and select Browse - you will see an icon to transfer files)

  (2) once the ISO on the host, change the properties of the virtual machine.  Select the CD and change it to use a file to store data and then navigate to your ISO file.  Make sure you check the 'connect at power on the option' before starting the virtual computer.

  (3) turn on the virtual machine and it should boot from the ISO image.

  You can also mount an ISO image on the PC where you use the vSphere client, but in the running of the store of data from the host is a little easier.

  My son has a ton of pictures (and videos) on his iPhone 5s. There are currently on IOS 8.x. I want to upgrade his phone to the standard ISO 9.x. If I connect to iTunes and do a "backup", everything on the phone (including photos and video) gets backup upward? I know that when I connect my iPhone, the Photo app opens asking me to download my pictures from my phone. I know that it is a good idea as well, but if I skip that step and JUST do the iTunes backup, I know where I have to erase and restore the backup? I will answer all my photos as well?

  I intend to improve my hdd of 750Go of laptop(dv4-3138tx) to a new 120 GB SDS. Before you begin, I created a set of HP recovery discs using HP Recovery Manager. To make sure that disk works, I tested the recovery DVDs on my laptop original 750 GB hard drive. Unfortunately, the recovery disk 2 of 3 failed. Now my laptop cannot start. I intend to do a fresh install, but now I don't have any installation media. I tried to download a copy of the standard iso Microsoft win7, but was not allowed to use my oem license key. I understand that downloading iso is reserved for retail customers.

  I make this separate post so that you will notice.  I hightly suspect the recovery disk set would not work with the new SSD, even if he had worked on the with the original hard drive.  If the recovery partition is still intact, you can run it to restore everything as if the set of recovery disks was run.

  You mark the partition as active recovery, (search for GParted) and execute the recovery of the partition manager.

  So is there a function canned for Web Services from reading to the format string and the converted data native timestamp type?  An example VI with a conversion like that works but I know that the timestamps in chains can be a difficult thing, and I didn't know if my method lost another information are attached.

  Personally, I'd say you're pretty sure to do as you are. The timestamp in the string is a standard (ISO 8601) that is unlikely to change.

• What are the minimum requirements that make a particular CD recognized as Bootable?

  I'm not really interested with BIOS problems, I am aware of those.  I think more in terms of file systems and files required on the support.  Just still not been curious to know what brings a CD bootable and other CDs.  Only, I could get freeware of course to make the CD bootable for me, but I prefer to understand and make myself.  I am a former computer science and software engineer, a small terminology won't hurt, but looking more to just understand the basics.

  There are a number of different formats of bootable CD - it's not like floppies, where a sector start-up and a certain group of files copied to the disc would make it bootable.  Microsoft uses a bootable Linux CD bootable configuration more use another, there are configurations of start-up owners and same files to boot Windows 9 x can be used to create a bootable CD.  I recommend to use Google or Bing to search standards ISO-9660 CD as a good starting point.

  I put a new 80 GB of HD in my probook 6560 b.  When trying to install Win 8 of win8 standard ISO DVD it is not the disc.  I installed the latest version of the BIOS.

  Windows 7 installation works fine, sio I know the HD works.

  Extract the files on a usb flash drive.

  With the flash drive and the installation of W8 media plugged into the machine, boot from the installation of W8 media.

  After selecting the install now option, select the training - Advanced menu, Options and select the option load a driver.

  You should now see the storage driver files listed.

  If you check the box, it only includes the compatible driver.

  Follow the prompts and see if the W8 now detects the HARD drive and installs.

• very slow laptop, formatted several times, always slow

  My laptop used to work perfectly and quickly. However, lately it has been running terribly slow. I have reset the software to factory several times - still slow. I received a new standard ISO MS, (X 17-58997), cut on a dvd, reloaded the o/s.

  It takes several days to load the o/s. Also, it took several attempts for a reason any. I had to delete all partitions, including the HP ones (sigh) stock, to get it in French - last night. However, it is still being slow extremmmmely. I removed the ram and tried different sticks - same thing. This may not be a software problem - can it? It must be hardware.
