  • Satellite A30 - no sound after installing the audio driver

I've updated the audio driver on my laptop A30 today on the Toshiba site with download of Realtek Semiconductor Corporation, and now the sound does not work. It's my single stereo so I feel really bad. The original driver discs are stored and I'm not very techie so help please...

Thanks a lot for your time, Phill

    Hi Phill,

First of all, I would like to check the sound settings in the control panel to make sure that none of them are extinguished, and that "dumb" is not checked. Also check that the volume on the side of your A30 control is enough at full volume.

In the case where everything is set correctly, I would then reload the driver Realtek of the utility CD and tools of Toshiba. If you do not have access to the CD then you can restore the driver to its original state by selecting the audio device in Device Manager"and roll back driver it.

If all else fails you should be able to 'restore' your system from the last point before your installation of the new driver restore.

  • HP Compaq Presario CQ61 laptop: no sound after installing the Vista SP2

After installing SP2 on my new laptop, I found, on my version check, he did not mention SP1 as having been installed/added.

Then I tried to UNINSTALL SP2, or take the computer to a previous restore point, as the problem of "NO SOUND" (confirmed by a small circle of Red containing a white "x" icon of speakers [IDT High Definition Audio CODEC] located at the bottom right of the laptop screen may have been caused by adding SP2 without previously installing SP1)

    .

I discovered that there is no previous restore point (it's a new laptop) - so I can't RESTORE to AN EARLIER DATE of TIME and I have not the slightest idea how to UNINSTALL SP2 - on windows xp I could have just do it through the CENTER OF CONTROL and ease "Add or remove programs.

    • According to the Sound Devices device manager both work properly i.e. the IDT High Definition Audio CODEC and the Intel(r) High Definition Audio HDMI - although I did not understand why I have two devices here, (maybe cos I tried default return of windowsn na sound?

I guess I could use the back to factory State cd to get her back, once again on my laptop, but I hope that I don't need to do.

Any suggestions please, because I feel a frustrated mite.

    Hi teacher Cheryl

    Thanks for your reply.

However, I cannot locate the page you are talking about.

I seem to have lost in these areas (see * below)

It seems to be all kinds of pages to do with the support of drivers, updates, but do not know which one to use to do a download of the update that I seems to require (assuming that I don't already have).

I found what seems to be the driver of Audio concerned especially for the particular model, but do not know if it is the version of correct i.e.latest of the driver or how to download.

    The details are:-

"The software and the following drivers are compatible with your product and the Microsoft Windows Vista operating system

    ' Pilot - AudioDateVersionPreviousSize' IDT High-Definition Audio CODEC Driver 04 - 20096.10.6159.0 A ' Version: 21,02'

Also, when I click on "Open Volume Mixer at the foot of the screen, it says"no audio device is installed"

    Please check this:

Select Control Panel > under sound select manage audio devices > see if "Speakers" have a green check mark (designates the default setting).  If another audio device is enabled, try checking "Speakers" and set as a default device, then click on apply.  See if it works then using these card drivers the Win7 built-in.

    Hello Rocko

I don't know how to answer them. Maybe you should explain your problem a bit better. For example:
What operating system you are using? Why you installed the sound driver? Is the reason why your own installation of OS or you have had a few problems of her before?

Sorry, but I just want to understand what is happening with your computer satellite phone?

  • No sound after XP Media Ed upgrade to Pro 7 - Board Asus P5N - E SLI and Realtek onboard audio

Christmas Eve, I've upgraded to Windows 7. In the beginning was sound in my small Bose speakers, but attenuated.  Installed Win7/Vista Realtek HD Audio drivers and the sound is not improved.  With uninstall and reinstall, all sounds have disappeared.  Restore to previous state does not restore the sounds. Audio devices are clearly recognized.  Sound Devices show in computer management.

Several respondents on various forums that I need to disable the detection of Realtek of the sockets on the front panel, which interferes with the flow.  However, the latest drivers do not have the icon for selecting the option to disable detection of the jacks of the Panel before (I wrote Realtek on this subject but have yet to receive an answer).

Anyone has a suggestion for how I could disable front panel jack detection in Windows or in the registry?  Are there other ways to solve this?  I tried a number of different solutions were proposed, which none worked.  My last stations are to repair the installation of Windows (will that work?); install older versions of the Realtek drivers until one works or has the icon to turn off the front plug detection; or get the USB speakers or sound card. replace the motherboard.

You know how frustrating these technical things are, but mine is all set up for the reception of Directv2PC and HD TV, so I'd like to get this working.

Well guys, I solved it.  He forgot methodology.  I have a device that allows me to connect the speakers and a headset through on the Panel back.

When the sound disappeared initially, the problem was apparently the Bios to the "façade" as AC 97.  When this parameter was in force, I plugged the speakers directly on the rear panel and had no sound.  So I guess my separator device wasn't the problem.  Later, I determined that the Bios should be modified to be made all the panels 'high definition '.  While I get sound through the speakers, the sound didn't come through the rear panel, but my dispatcher he was not through.  I did not realize the mistake until a few minutes ago.

The technology requires just sort of patience and methodicalness.  It took 8 days for me to understand this, simply because of the trial does not after Bios change.

  • No sound after installing the Vista 64 SP2

Since the 1st time I installed SP2 I lost the sound on my Toshiba laptop. The drivers and settings remained intact, but could not hear through speakers, headphones only. I uninstalled SP2 and it was back to normal. Months later, I tried again, sound was ok, but then some time later it's the same then days after sound returns on its own. I started playing a video and at halfway through the sound disappeared, this happened several times. At this moment I have uninstall SP2. I'm never back.

Furthermore, I did a reinstall of microsoft audio drivers and Toshiba, nothing helps.

  • PC Pavilion laptop: no sound on Pavilion g6 after installing the new battery CMOS

I have a Pavilion g6z - 1 d 00 CTO Notebook PC, model A2F43AV number.  It came with Windows 7 Home Premium, and I upgraded the operating system to Windows 7 Pro (64 bit).

The problem is that I did not sound, either through headphones or the speakers even if the Volume is set at 55. I first noticed the audio problem after replacing the CMOS battery, as the laptop is 4 years old and he gave me intermittent wireless connectivity problems.  After installing the new battery CMOS, I noticed the wireless driver was missing and downloaded/installed.  Everything was fine except the audio.  Then I reset the BIOS but nothing there as the BIOS version is v.49, and it is the most recent.

I have also downloaded/installed the driver audio and rebooted the PC.  Still, there is no noise.

Finally, I have checked the audio drivers and the reporting system they work without any problem.

    What should I do next?

    Thanks, Terry

    Thanks for the reply,

I was under the impression that these links would take you to guide step by step, however, it seems that they do not work,

However, I have provided details below:

To perform a hard reset on a computer equipped with a removable battery, follow these steps:

    1. Turn off the computer.

    2. Remove the computer from the docking station or port replicator.

    3. Disconnect all external devices from devices such as USB, external displays storage devices and printers.

    4. Disconnect the power adapter from the computer.

    5. Remove the battery from the compartment to batteries.

    6. Press and hold button power for about 15 seconds, remove any residual electric charge capacitors that protect memory.

    7. Insert the battery and plug the power adapter into the laptop, but do not connect peripheral devices.

    8. Press the power button to turn on the computer.

    9. If a boot menu appears, use the arrow keys to select start Windows normally and then press the Enter key.

    10. After you have reconnected each peripheral device, run Windows Update and HP Support Assistant to update all device drivers.

To perform a hard reset on a computer equipped with a sealed or non-removable battery, follow these steps:

    1. Turn off the computer.

    2. Remove the computer from the docking station or port replicator.

    3. Disconnect all external devices from devices such as USB, external displays storage devices and printers.

    4. Disconnect the power adapter from the computer.

  • After installing the latest updates, my screen on large icons, screen too big for my moniter

the only way of difficulty was to uninstall updates.

After installing the latest updates, my screen on large icons, screen too large for my moniter the only way of difficulty was to uninstall updates.

Sounds like something in the update causes a conflict with your video driver or change the resolution settings.

The first thing to do to solve the problem is to try to install each of the updates one at a time instead of let Windows Update do several updates together.  If you're lucky, the problem can not ride again.  If so, you'll know at least update is the cause of the problem.

If the problem persists, try right click on an empty area of your desktop and select properties to open the display properties dialog box.  Select the settings tab.  Look to see if the screen is correctly identified and if the resolution seems correct.  If you spot something wrong, change to the correct setting.  If everything looks correct, you can try to change the resolution to see if that can solve the problem.

You can also check the website of the manufacturer of your graphics card to see if they have an updated display driver.  Updates of the operating system only sometimes work correctly if you have the latest version of the drivers for the various components.

If all else fails, you can uninstall the update one that is causing the problem and mark do not show you this update again in Windows updates.   Doing so will be considered a last resort - especially if the update in question is one of the security updates.

  • Installed the Audio but not Audio drivers Realtek Sound Manager or Dell!

    Hello

I reinstalled the audio driver for my computer dell laptop: dell inspiron 15 3542 since the user interface audio dell was not not display properly, so when I re-installed, I can't find any sound Manager!

Hello. If you have reinstalled your existing driver rather than download a new copy of it, I'll try to download a new copy.

First remove the existing driver. [Open Device Manager and expand the sounds...] Controllers section. Right click on Realtek High Definition and select uninstall. Put a checkmark in the option to delete files, click ok. When you restart, Windows either will install its own native driver or a Realtek driver if there was other versions on the hard drive. Then go back to Device Manager and look for a Realtek driver. Keep the uninstall & reboot until Realtek no longer appears under his... Controllers and "High definition Audio Device" appears in its place. "High definition Audio Device" is the name of the native Windows audio driver.]

Then go to the Inspiron 3542 html page and scroll to the Audio category. Download the Realtek driver for your operating system. [WB means that it is for Win8.1 and WT means it is of Win10.]
