• My Sony Blu - ray player keeps restarting during playback of a DVD.

  Try to Update the software of the player. If it persists, try to have the player reset to factory default settings. Is the issue only happening on a particular disc?

  If the drive is not found anywhere in Device Manager, then you encounter a possible hardware/connection failure.  Try to turn off the laptop, remove the battery and then out the CD/DVD drive and reinsert.  Then back - turn on the laptop and test it.

  You also need to update your BIOS to the latest version on your software and drivers download page.

  If the device not found rest, either the drive is dead or the controller on the motherboard is bad and will require the replacement or service.

  I want the possible fastest dvd burner right now because I'm a fan of film and keep them in digital memory.

  The problem is when I've upgraded to windows 7 things have changed. I lost my sound, but that solved using a driver inherited Visa as apparently the sound 'Council' on the laptop is for Vista only. The available recording software seems also planned for Vista performance was acceptable. Even the dvd burning software does not work.

  Not sure about this but it could be related to WMP if it appears only using WMP.

  My T410 of annoying the hell out of me! My DVD player starts to turn on and off, every 30 seconds or more. The following message keeps coming back:

  It cannot be seated all the way. Push the release lever. A tab will eject. Pull the tab to release the drive. Wait for the disconnected messages stop. Firmly reinsert the disc and push the tab. There should be a clear click.
