Start screen flashes constantly

Original title:

Windows 8 installed in Dell Inspiron does not open properly.

Hi all

I have Windows 8 is installed on my Dell Inspiron laptop. I use for a year.

But suddenly, Mozilla Firefox no longer works . It's why I upheld the same in Windows Firewall List. Then, I restarted the PC.

Then came the real problem.

Problem: After restarting my laptop, screen of apps is coming, then a few seconds that it is endangered. He continually made this process. At least I can't uninstall the mozilla also to solve the problem.

Please help me solve this problem.

Thank you.

Hi Jaanuadi,

You can perform a restore of the system to a previous point when everything worked well. This will cancel the changes made to the list of Windows Firewall and will allow you to work on the computer without problems.

Because at the start normal, the splash screen does not perform any action because of the flickering screen, I suggest you to boot to the Windows recovery environment using the installation disk of Windows 8, or if your laptop has a built-in recovery partition recovery partition boot and restore the system from there.

  • Equium A60: display screen flashes constantly

My A60 is not so old and after 20 minutes after ignition, the screen flashes constantly for about 10 minutes then stops then starts again. I thought that maybe it's something to do with the computer over heating, but its not even hot and the fan is not blocked. Any Suggestions? Also seems to take ten minutes to load up, which seems to long for a 2.8 GHz machine or is this normal?

    Any help would be appreciated

Hi aleeg81, it sounds like the power of the backlight may be suffering from malfunction any or there is a loose video connection. Have you tried to adjust the options and the brightness of the screen to see if it improves things to save energy? If the problem persists and your laptop is under warranty, I would recommend send to Toshiba for investigation. Twinkle is not normal and should not be tolerated if your laptop runs hot or not. Windows should not take 10 minutes to load or perhaps you need to remove and change a few things to improve this, see: http://forums.computers.toshiba-europe.com/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=8355

  • Screen flashes constantly on iTunes store

When I play my iTunes on my Windows 7 computer, that is fine, but as soon as I connect to iTunes Store, the screen flickers constantly, I've never had this happen before and I was wondering if it was a problem that I can sort?

You should be able to solve this problem in re - download iTunes from http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/ 12.3.2.25 and re-install.  The iTunes Store/flickering screen flashing was present in the original version of this release (since 9 December), but Apple slipped out a re - build (unfortunately and wrongly with the same build number) on December 23/24, which seems to fix most / all users.

There is another question - peut-related - which affects display iTunes on very high resolution screens.  Everything first, that appears in iTunes 12.3.1 but is not fixed yet, although it may be mitigated by reducing the size of the iTunes window.

  • XP start screen flashes then restarts the computer (usually start in any mode, restarts just instantly)

    Hello

My xp computer has stopped working completely for some unknown reason. Last Friday I took my girls login Thinkpoint virus successfully. Nobody is using the computer since then when my daughter connected today it froze after a bit of use. It restarted, and now it won't start at all. It shows the BIOS loading but then flashes the screen and loading XP restarts. If I try to reboot safe mode or use the last known good config that the computer still does not start XP.

    I already did the following:

    Check disk

    Bootcfg/Repair

System recovery (the one where you will install a new XP (with OS CD started from) but hitting R instead)

I am at a loss about what to do in addition to do a format/reinstall. There is no document import on this computer, but it would be better to do not reinstall.

P.S. It's a Dell Precision 390. And he has a strange video card, DVI dual nVidia Quadro NVS 285. Ive never seen anything else like before.

    Thank you

  • Start screen flashes on all applications in CC?

I have a new laptop of Lenovo P50. When I start one of the applications of Adobe CC, the splash screen just flashes white... its normal content does not appear. If I hover the mouse on the screen, it stops flashing and is just a grey area.  I can close the box and then use the application without any problem.  I was wondering why he is doing this.

What CC, the new laptop, Windows 10 or something else?

    Any ideas?

  • Screen flashing right at the top of my screen (Windows 8)

Hey everyone, I have a question about my monitor/screen on my laptop. My laptop is a Compaq CQ58 running Windows 8. Whenever I'm on my laptop (especially of office) there is this thin white line on the top of my screen flashes constantly. Sometimes it is imperceptible, but sometimes it's really, really bad, (covers at least a quarter of my screen).

I have no warranty, and I wonder if this is an issue that can be fixed easily without hassle.

    Thank you.

  • When I start Windows XP, my screen flashes, a help option is displayed in the taskbar and my audio and video have disappeared.

After I start my system (XP) my audio system works very well. After some time the HELP screen flashes option appears on the taskbar and my audio and video sounds have disappeared. I can hear system sounds. I downloaded Fixit from Microsoft Support for its repair. But when I run it I see a runtime error 80040402. 2-3 days back, I had installed Avast 6.0.100 to get rid of a deadly virus that infected my flash drives. Since then, I have this problem. I would like to point out something that you may not realize: Windows 8
has two interfaces; the modern/Metro Interface (which may be all the)
you have looked at) and the traditional desktop Interface. You can use
one or both. This traditional desktop Interface is almost
identical to the interface of Windows 7. the biggest difference is that
There is no Orb start clicking to bring up the start menu.

But note that you can get the ORB start by using one of the many
third-party programs, are free or very cheap (the classic interface
    http://classicshell.sourceforge.NET/ and debut8 to
    http://www.stardock.com/products/start8/; my personal preference is
Debut8, but they are both very good).  And goes from an interface to
the other is very easy; There are several ways, but simply by pressing
the Windows key is perhaps the easiest.

Just install one of these two and using the traditional desktop computer
interface may be a better choice for you than going to Windows 7.
I use Windows 8, almost exclusively with traditional workstations
the interface and with 8 Start installed. If you were to look at and use
my computer, you may have a hard time realizing that it is not
    Windows 7.
I also recommend to read "how to make Windows 8 or 8.1 watch and.
    Want Windows 7 "to http://www.howtogeek.com/elk/298/45121/4206
I can't address the issue with your games, except to say that
whenever you move to a new version of the operating system, some of
which is used to run on the former does not work on the new. And it's
much more likely with utilities and games with companies
    applications.

  • Some applications Windows 8 will not be open and constantly return to the start screen

Some Windows 8 applications (calendar, Photos, Messenger, etc.) do not open and return to the start screen. I updated the computer, so the apps worked during this session.  However, after that I disconnected and re-connected to the laptop the next day, the same apps stopped working again.  This continues that occur on a regular basis.  How to solve definitively the problem?

Note: I noticed that others have this same problem, and I tried the troubleshooting suggestions (i.e., to download the troubleshooter of the modern user interface, cache cleanup, etc.), but none of these suggestions has definitely solved the problem.  I bought my new laptop two months ago and have been facing this problem since.  I want a permanent solution.

W8 comes with built in AV from Microsoft (Windows Defender) solution. You do
not actually need a third party.

Update Windows 7 10, (last night). My laptop screen keeps flashing and I can't use the computer at all. How can I uninstall Windows 10 & back to 7?

I suggest you only start Win10 in safe mode. Because you screen flashes the only way to do so is in the password screen. When you're at the password screen, click the power options in the lower right. Hold down the SHIFT key and select restart. This will get you to the troubleshooting page. Once you're in safe mode, you can return to Win7. I suggest you google "Win10 starting in safe mode" and "return to Win7 from Win10. It should provide you with screenshots. I hope this helps.
