  • Startup after installation of McAfee security poblems

After installation of McAfee security I get say Windows blue screen not not close properly and have to restart in safe mode, then back to the previous state. I can then use Windows in normal mode. I tried to reinstall McAfee several times and each time get the same problem. Is this a problem with my laptop (Toshiba satellite) or security software

  • Blue screen on startup after installation of service pack 3

Original title: big problems with Windows service pack 3

My pc runs xp edition media with a processor intel dc. I had to reformat using recovery discs cleaning all ok using microsoft update until after that load successfully and the installation of Service pack 3. Start theres a brief flash of B.S.O.D. then it goes straight to load the page option of safe mode. Startup journal raises a whole series of errors. drivers of not start tearing my hair on it!

If there is a problem starting, XP is configured to automatically try to start again and you can stuck in a loop not being able to go beyond the screen boot options, or none of these startup options you choose will work only.

Sometimes, when XP has a problem starting or falls down and tries to start again, it will give you a "short" menu of boot options and none of them will appear to be good to get your system going again.  You have tried them all!

The options are similar to the Advanced Boot Options menu XP, but the only option that you need (disable automatic error system reboot) are not offered, because XP went too far during the boot process and offers a limited number of boot options.

If this is the case, you must call Options menu advanced boot yourself until you do not see the option:

Disable the automatic restart in the event of system failure

When you get the XP Advanced Options correct start menu you want to see, he has options on it like these:

    Safe mode
    Safe mode with networking
    Safe mode with command prompt

    Enable Boot logging
    Enable VGA mode
Last good Configuration known (your most recent settings that worked)
Directory Services Restore Mode (Windows domain controllers only)
    Debug mode
Disable the automatic restart in the event of system failure

    Start Windows normally
    Reset
    Return to OS Choices Menu

You need to choose in this menu is the option:

Disable the automatic restart in the event of system failure

Then if XP does not start normally, you will see an error screen with information and clues about the problem and then you can decide what to do next.

If you do not see the automatic restart on system failure option turn it off, you must reset your system and start typing the key F8 on the keyboard until you see her disable automatic restart on system failure option.

If you miss the window of opportunity F8, you must try again and start tapping the F8 key with more urgency (earlier and more frequently) until you see disable automatic restart on system failure, and then select.

You must keep trying the F8 menu until you see disable automatic restart on system failure option, and select it.

  • I can only start my computer in Safe Mode - system hangs on startup after installation of updates

After the download and installation of updates on my desktop Gateway (FX7020) the computer freezes on me and was forced to shut down hard. After a few attempts to start the computer, I was able to get into safe mode. After some time in the exploration of the event viewer I tried out and re-start of normal BONE. I was unable to make it through the boot sequence and had to shut down hard again. I waited a while and it made back in safe mode, but this time after 25-40 sec. Thanks any help will be graciously appreciated... RA

    Hello

    Method 1:
You can try restoring the system to safe mode and check:
Note: When you perform the system restore to restore the computer to a previous state, programs and updates that you have installed are removed.
You can consult the links for:
    System restore
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/what-is-system-restore

    Method 2:
If the problem persists, you can refer startup Repair in Windows Vista, which is a recovery tool that can fix certain problems. You can check the link:

  • HP Pavilion HPE h9-1100 Phoen: computer hangs during startup after installation of 970 GTX

    The problem:

So here's the deal. I bought a new EVGA GTX 970 and installed in my office (after you have uninstalled the drivers for my old AMD GPU). When that I start it freezes on the BIOS screen. Press a button and the screen goes black; It is still frozen. Fan works in beast mode, until I turn it off.

    What I tried:

    • I checked for if sure it was well installed in the x 16 PCIE slot and connectors double checked.
    • Checked to see if my motherboard supports UEFI (it does)
    • Using another monitor using vga instead of as before display port.
    • EVGA called and suggested they updated my BIOS on HP site (I think I'm already on the latest version)?
    • Called HP and they said I have spend $250 to have a technician to work on it. (I'd rather not pay nearly as much as I paid for the card to install it if I can avoid...)
    • Remove the battery on the motherboard for 5 minutes then replace and powered with the new graphics card.

None of these things had No effect. (with the exception of the money payer which I have not yet made). I put the old card (Radeon 7670) back in and it started late.

I'm kind of grasping at straws at this point. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Model: h9-1100 (A5U16AV #ABA)

    OS: Windows 10 Pro (64-bit)

    Motherboard: Gigabyte 2AC8 (970 (RX980) + SB950 chipset AMD)

    Processor: AMD FX-8150 (3600,0 MHz)

    BIOS: Ang_716 (05/04/2012)

I would like to know if there is relevant information, that I left out.

    -edit

I tried to install the card in HP h9 1300 t friend (he also recently installed the same card) it worked fine, if the card is not defective. Then we installed his gtx 970 in my computer. Same results as before. Startup freezes on the bios screen.

Sure that I narrowed down it to a compatibility problem with my motherboard. I ordered a new one, the ASRock 970 M Pro3 AM3 + / AM3 AMD 970 + AMD SB950 6 x SATA 6 Gb/s USB 3.0 Micro ATX AMD Motherboard (bite). I'll post here once again with results once it arrives here in a few days. I cross my fingers.

    Hello

The level of the BIOS of your PC is not compatible with the video BIOS in the NVIDIA GTX 970.   You need a BIOS to version 8 HP which is not displayed for your PC.

BTW - A replacement of the card mother not HP will require a new license of Windows.

  • Black screen on startup after installation of the wireless router

I recently installed a Netgear Wireless - G Router (WGR614) on my computer vista HP laptop and since then, I have experienced a few problems. One day my computer was working fine. I stopped it and when I went to leave the next day morning, the screen was black with a bunch of small lines. It would not load anything so I stop and tried again. It's the same thing. I turned on and close my count, and when I opened it upward a few minutes later the screen was beautiful. Then, I have lived the "Blue Screen of death" 3 times. I researched what the problem might be and thought that I might need to update a driver. I went to HP Health Check and there were a couple of updates on a wireless adapter and a card reader, so I installed the updates. I have not experienced the blue screen since then, but I still have problems with the black screen when starting upwards. If I leave the computer open the black screen turns to a white/blue color and nothing loads. But if I close it then after a minute or two everything is. This could be the cause?

    Hello

Start with the wireless router is not the cause of the problems. It is a stand-alone device that simply provides a network connection for your system. Offhand, I would say that you experience a hardware failure, and perhaps the time is simply coincidence. Knowing what was the error message stop can help to indicate where the problem lies, but your description of the problem is quite indicative of a hardware problem. Solve it will probably require involving a technician (contact HP if it is still under warranty).

  • PC crashes and a blue screen on startup after installation of updates

My pc stops and restarts a blue screen when there is an update to download and install. It is well after I installed the update. Is there an automatic Start Up in the "Local View" app that I can start

    [Original title: updates Crash]

    Hi William,.

If the PC crashes and displays a blue screen whenever you try to install an update, then it could indicate some other underlying problems in the computer. What was the error message displayed when the computer has started a bluescreen?

Alternatively, you can refer to this article for more information on blue screen errors:

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-CA/Windows-8/resolve-Windows-blue-screen-errors

Get back to us with the exact error message with any error code displayed in the blue screen, so that we can understand what caused this problem and help you accordingly.

  • My effect after installation problem!

Please help me my Creative could have no effect... and when I try to download it from " " https://creative.Adobe.com/products/AfterEffects "he still will not download starting but other works suitable as well as downloads, but just after the effect not! Please see the vedio to publicize my problem!

Your computer will not work with the current version of After Effects

    (version 12).

It will not work with the previous version either.

    Or the version before that.

Since CS5 (version 10) of After Effects, it has been the 64-bit software. You

cannot run it on a 32-bit system.

In addition, you don't have enough RAM.

See the system requirements for After Effects here:

  • Dual monitor boot problem with Windows 7 Professional 64 bit after installation of any graphics program like a game.

I have built this platform with the help of the owner of a store of 4 cumputer teir 2 years ago. We initially put Windows Vista 32 bit on the system to Vista 64 bit unstable atm. For 2 years, the computer worked like a dream. Last week I made a clean wipe of windows vista and windows 7 professional 64-bit installed. The system has two monitors. The primary monitor is a sony bravia with 26 "led and secondary for watching movies is that a 55 '' led Samsung 1080 p 240 Hz. The graphics card is a geforce GTX 295 nividia. It has 12 GB of Ram and the CPU is an i7 965 @3.20.

The problem I have is this. After the installation of any game average to work with windows 7, the screens to reset their resolutions automatically more than a few times as they are confused. Sometimes, I have to return the screen to its correct resolution after installation in full. Most of the games and then run fine. After installing the game or any game designed for win 7 startup of computers is all messed up for the monitors. After starting hand 26 "sets its resolution and then after about a second 30 pause the computer makes the sound (the double) that it is resolutuons to reset monitor again? After that this second reset about 1-2 minutes the computer is good to go, unless it sets the res evil. The problem is the computer has never done that with vista and it is very annoying say the least. It still freezes the installation of some games. The only way to resolve what I found is the restoration of the system. The computer starts normally and screen ground is defined once she has always been. The only problem is when you install another game, the problem is their new. This problem is worse in some games.

The latest nvidia drivers have been installed. There is no conflict in the device with the exception of an old printer Manager. The two comes is set to 60 hertz. I searched all over the internet and there seems to be a problem with windows 7 without solution. I am at a loss. Any other information that you need let me know and I'll post it. Thank you!

    Hi ancientone618,

It sounds almost as if there is a Windows update that is in conflict with your NVIDIA Driver Installer.  I would say to disable automatic updates of Windows to see if it might help:

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/turn-automatic-updating-on-or-off

In addition, please see the article with some useful information:

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/work-and-play-better-with-multiple-monitors

    I hope this helps!

    Hi gerhards34108030,

I'm sorry that you are having a frustrating installation. You receive the prompt to download the Advisor because a previously installed Adobe app has been incorrectly removed. You can use the Adobe Creative Cloud cleaning tool to resolve installation problems.

If this does not resolve your problem, we need additional information to solve problems. What is your operating system and which version of elements are you installing? This is Photoshop or Premiere elements?
