• HELMET No. Smartphones blackBerry icon when I plug in the BB Bold 9900 helmet. Help, please!

  I just got my new BB bold 9900. Has updated the OS to v7.1.714. Now I see not a helmet on the homescreen icon when I plug the headphones of BB. Although I get sound when I plug from the 3.5 mm plug.

  Another issue is when I receive a call I am not able to hear the call, ringing on the headset, rather that I hear from the speaker as I would when no headset is plugged.

  I heard that it is a common problem when an upgrade of the OS is made. Is there a solution? Help, please!

  Welcome to the BlackBerry support community.

  Thank you for your question about the helmet on the BlackBerry 7.1 software feature.

  The headphones icon should only appear in within the phone application and not on the home screen when connected and on a call.

  The ringtone will also go through the speakers of the device and not on taking 3.5 mm connected headphones. This is normal.

  Hi all

  OK, first post and I can not solve a problem. My apologies if the answer is somewhere, but I searched for centuries with no luck.

  This is my father phone I'm having a problem with (I'm an Android man myself and it seems much easier to troubleshoot!)...

  Last week when he got on the phone, I added a 3 of his company on the phone POP3 accounts and Hotmail and they have seem to work very well. Each account appeared in the form of icons on the home screen and when I sent test messages to each that they were correctly received with the little star signs a new email on the respective icon.

  Then, when you tapoterez icon for each account, I would have taken in the Inbox for this account.

  Went to his place tonight and went a bit weird! When you click on icons email account I'm caught up in the 'messages' folder that contains only text messages. There is no way to access the emails in one of its accounts 4 e-mail.

  When a new email arrives now, there is a notice at the top of the screen at run time and is the only way to view an email. No way to access all existing emails.

  He has obviously done something, but I have no idea what.

  So all people ideas BB?

  Do a simple reboot on the BlackBerry this way:

  With the BlackBerry powereddevice, remove the battery for a minute and then reinsert the battery to restart. A reboot in this way is prescirbed for most the gltiches and operating system errors, and you will lose any data on the device doing so.

  Now, return to your main message folder > Menu key > Options > Inbox management and all e-mail account you want to separate, make sure it is disabled to NOT appear in the main folder of Messages.

  I have a brand new Blackberry Bold 9700 - just he started upward.  I have configured the synchronization with Outlook and everything went well.  The Device Manager log shows that the data Memo Pad has been transferred to the device.  But I can't find the Memo Pad icon (or the task icon or icon search...)  I've looked everywhere.

  Read the other posts, it seems that I might have to reinstall the operating system of the device.  Is this the case?

  If so, it's pretty discouraging to have to do with a whole new BB.  What could have caused this?

  Hi and welcome to the Forums!

  Might have moved the icons in a different folder - search anywhere.

  You might have hidden icons - view all of the icons and see if they are there.

  You might had a theme which removes the icons - fall back to the default theme and see if him reappear.

  Look in your list of installed applications - if the apps are there, then they are installed and one of the two above may apply.

  You should not have to perform a complete reinstallation - you should be able to add these applications via the Destkop Manager program (if they are not installed).

  I went to the configuration of email - connect to BIS - BB Menue - Service books.

  any print-screen would be great... icon star as notifications that you are referring... must be somewhere in your Inbox... it just go into it & click on the letter 'U' on your keyboard... It should show you the unread messages...

  Are those who pushed the icons take very little space., 4-7 KB each and make no real difference in space not used. Just hide them. While they can be removed in fact through service books, they'll turn up eventually.

  Go to Options -> Advanced Options -> service book and remove all the email ID of the previous user. You must remove the two [CICAL] and [CMIME] coming next to the identification of email you want to delete.

  I found to change the color of the goto Menu, Options, theme icons, and select Precision T-Mobile, which makes the current selection. Icons are rearranged in color.

  On my old bb, it always says that I got 3 unread messages, but I've looked everywhere and could not find them. I just got a new bb today and then all my data obtained, my other says now that I have 3 unread messages. I deleted all the old messages, emails and voicemails. I also removed my e-mail account of my phone and it is still there. I don't know what to check or how to get rid of. If someone could help, I would be eternally grateful!

  Too bad... I guess that I had saved some messages that I forgot, and that's what the icon was for!

And now I have this globe looking for icon/symbel on this area and I have NO idea what it means.   Well, open a folder of messages and press the BB menu button. Select view folders. Have a look through those of the evidence of the offender.

• State of Smartphones blackBerry 8530 on indicator

  I just bought my first BB yesterday, and I'm a little confused on a status icon in the banner.

  I use the theme Zen comes preloaded on my Curve 8530, and the banner of the home screen, just under the WiFi icon, there is another icon, I can't find documentation on that.

  It looks like a circle with a cross through it, with three curved lines along the right side.

  It is not listed in the status indicators in the guide book.  I looked through all of the documentation that came with the phone and explored the site, and I can't find it.

  Can anyone point in the right direction to find it?
