Graphics BIOS Z580

Hello

Some owners of Z580 may help me? I intend to buy a Z580.

The Z580 BIOS has an option to choose separate graphics cards (i.e., dedicated Nvidia card)?

Some models include a choice in the BIOS only between UMA and switchable graphics (Optimus).

Other models have 3 choices in the BIOS; UMA, discreet and switchable. I want to know if the Z580 comes with these 3 options.

Thank you.

Hi jaray,.

do you mean some Lenovo models come with three options or that some models Z580 come with three options?

In any case, here is a picture of the BIOS Z580 lenovoservicetraining.com options

  • Switchable graphics BIOS

    Hello

In 5458 Inspiron BIOS there is the option to disable switchable graphics.

What will happen if I disabled it? The Intel video card intel will be disabled or is it the other way around?

    Thank you

It would be a new option - latest Inspiron is not a material for hybrid video installation control.  If this is the case, disabling switchable video must run the nVidia GPU all the time (at a cost for the duration of the battery and more heat and therefore activity fan, of course).

If this is what is happening, post back - it would be a novelty for Inspiron, who, in recent years, have been entiredly muxless (software only command).

  • Graphics card on Satellite M40-197 (PSM40E) does not work properly

    I have a portable Satellite M40-197 (PSM40E) with ATI Radeon X 300 graphics display.

The problem I have is when the laptop is turned on, until windows XP THAT starts, the screen is black as you would expect.

But there are also about 12 lines on the screen. Each line consists of (from top to bottom) 4 pixels of different colors. The rest of the screen is as you would expect.

Once Windows XP is running are several broken lines (color lines, depends on the color of office) through the screen at all levels up and down the screen.

I updated the BIOS of the laptop and installed the latest ATI drivers.
    This made no difference.

Anyone know if it is a faulty graphics card (is the adapter on the system board or it own map). Is it possible to update the graphics BIOS? Any help would be appreciated.

    Thank you very much.

    Hello

This really sounds like a hardware problem, I had the same problem some time ago with my Satellite 5200 903. They said to the servicecenter
me, that the graphics card was defective and they replace. After replacing everything will work perfectly again.

Thus, it would be important that your platform to a local servicepartner for a hardwarecheckup.

Here´s a good place where you can find the nearest the servicepartner in your country:

  • Where is the graphics card FireGL V5700?

When I bought my Lenovo ThinkPad W500, one a few months ago, he a graphics card from ATI Mobility FireGL V5700 on the order/invoice.

However, when I look under display cards Device Manager all I see is 'Mobile Intel (r) 4 Series Express Chipset Family'.

This suggests I received an incomplete order?

There are two graphics in the W500, is the integrated graphics card Intel, while the other is the ATI one. You must have some how past to the built-in graphics BIOS option, try selecting discrete.

    Hello:

You can use the drivers for W7 to the G2 to 250 HP on your model, except the audio, graphic, BIOS and firmware files.

64-bit drivers are 32-bit driver files too.

    http://h20564.www2.HP.com/hpsc/SWD/public/readIndex?sp4ts.Oid=5449369 & swLangOid = 8 & swEnvOid = 4059

Graphics: Download, unzip and run the setup.exe file.

  • TouchSmart IQ506 video problems in Windows 7 Ultimate edition.

I installed Windows 7 Ultimate without any problems, but my screen flickers all the seconds (20 or more).  It is extremely annoying, and I can't install the drivers, I have download from nvidia.  She telling me that this driver does not support this video card.  I checked with GPU - Z and it signals a 9300M GS and the pilot for the series 9xxxM says that it supports.

HP, does not support Windows 7 yet, so I can't use that option and using the Windows 7 update of the generic drivers is not clear upward flicker no more.

Someone at - it their system works properly with Windows 7 yet?  Please do not force me to Vista!

    -= Mark =-

I posted this the other week, found I had the same problem - but my message has been moved by one of the host - don't know why cause not specific to the IQ PC...

    http://h30434.www3.HP.com/PSG/board/message?board.ID=TouchSmartPC&thread.ID=1759

All you need to do is search for your drivers Vista x 64 drivers HP...  Here are the drivers for your PC:

    http://h10025.www1.HP.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareList?OS=2100&LC=en&DLC=en&cc=us&lang=en&product=3752245

You must download the exe from the HP driver and extract with winrar (right click on the exe Driver HP and select "extract with winrar") then run the extracted setup.exe manually from the src subdirectory.

You'll want to install "summer 2008 Original NVIDIA Unified Graphics Driver" first and then followed up with the installation of the "NVIDIA GeForce 9300 M GS graphic BIOS and Driver Update"

You also need to install the sound card driver (to get your microphone working), the keyboard driver, the OSD menu and some of the function keys, if you have a TV tuner, intall originally was 2008 and also update driver...

Your PC will work like a dream with W7, no need to go back to Vista - enjoy!

Is what I also suggest go back HP drivers after October when Win 7 RTM is officially released, I would say that HP will have updates the driver available for Windows 7 x 64 I hope to here here.

  • HP 15-r005ne: Windows 7 driver for HP 15 - r005ne

    Hello

I bought the laptop 'HP 15-r005ne". There isn't any OS or a CD with the drivers. The site doen't provide also all the drivers. Where am I supposed to get drivers for Win 7 32 bit?

    Hello:

Use the W7 64 bit drivers for the G2 to 250 HP, except the audio, graphic, BIOS and firmware files.

    http://h20564.www2.HP.com/hpsc/SWD/public/readIndex?sp4ts.Oid=5449369&swLangOid=8&swEnvOid=4059

The 64-bit files have 32-bit drivers.

For the graphics, you need this driver... the first file listed is the automatic installation file.

  • Grey flicker LCD screen

    Hi all!

I have a problem that I suspect that some of you might have known. I have an Acer Aspire V5 - 573G for a little over a year now. Yesterday my LCD started flickering of colours grey and white. He normally gets back to normal as soon as I gently tap the screen. A half hour ago, the screen went totally crazy as you can see in the image below. Taps did not help more and I had to stop and restart in order to get back to normal again.

So how is this problem caused? I saw many people wrote about this on other ACER models. Are different views on what is wrong (backlight, cable, graphic, bios). Do you know what is really the cause and how it can be fixed?

I'd appreciate some info really, because this notebook is vital for my work.

    Thanks in advance!

    Hello Philippe,

Watch this video. The connector is located behind the inverter. This is probably your problem.

  • Win7 64 bit and computer Pavilion Elite

I have a Pavilion Elite 9753uk with a NVIDIA Geforce GT220 graphics card that willl not work with win7 64 bit, latest drivers are suitable, but it needs a graphical BIOS update which does not always have to be made available, Nvidia forums full of unhappy people!

He will have to buy a new card, not in the game, but would need a duel monitor setup, suggestions please for a card that won't break the Bank, works with Windows 7 and 64-bit.

Thank you for your sensible suggestions.

After a verey frustrating weekend of research into the problem, I find that there is no solution to the incompatibility of the HP Pavilion / 220 Nvidio (N11071) and 64-bit win.

Not wanting to spend money on a new map to see the same error occurs, I'll now wait for win7 SP1 (ormaybe even 2) in the hope that a workaround is provided.

    Thanks for your help

    Derek

  • DV6-6c65el: it is not possible to restore to factory condition

    Ciao
My pc has this problem: "it is not possible to restore to factory condition.
    Noteboock HP Pavilion dv6-6c65el
    OS: Windows 7 Home Premium 64 - bit SP1
    CPU Intel Core i5 - 2450 M CPU @ 2.50\3.10GHz hd3000 integrata
    Radeon HD 7690M XT 2Gb GDDR5 graphics
    BIOS brand Hewlett-Packard
    Version F.12 Date 10/26/2011
    Hard drive (C) OS + (D) Recovery + (E) HpTools.

After "reset to factory condition" (with HP Recovery Manager), I noticed the anomaly IE9 32-bit.
In addition, the absence of other software pre-installed (missing: Hp Hp setup-documentation-IE9 64-bit).
When I tried a new reset, HP Recovery Manager for the recovery of the system voice (factory State) told me:
(disabled: to restore the system, use recovery media)
Using Recovery DVD (in excellent condition), you receive the following error message:
"windows has encountered a problem communicating with a device connected to your computer, this errorcan be cause by one umpluggin
device for removable storage such as an exsternal usb drive while the appliance is in use, or faulty hardware such as hard drive or cd-rom drive
"' which is a failure all removable storage is well secured, and then restart your pc" status: 0xc00000c9 Info: an error I\O untimely that occurred. "
The same thing happens with the F11 key at startup. Reset the error.
System restore of Microsoft is not resolved.
In Windows, everything else seems to work and the hardware of the laptop has no problem.
The original dvd drive has been replaced by a compatible; reads all discs supported.
Install only MSE (I only use portable software).
There is no virus or another malaware.
I performed the formalities in support of hp but nothing has changed.
    You can find a solution?
    Ciao e grazie
    Lecce2

I have no ' answer because my computer had crashed full.
    I apologize.
    Order media why?
If the disks created the first time the PC will not work. I guess this does not solve the problem discs hp (I also read on a problem like mine. "This problem was solved with the media purchased by HP).
I turned the web weeks and I finally found the proper procedure.

Please can someone guide me what is happening here. My battery is dead. nothing to do with the parameter? is it related to the upgrade to windows 7. I just bought my system in June.

I changed the built-in graphical bios and disable the ATI graphics because I heard say that windows 7 do not support switchable graphics. My problem is solved and I new more than 6 hours of battery life.

  • U330 Windows 7 drivers does not work

    Hello

I was recently in the process of updating all my drivers on my u330-2267EU for the latest versions of Windows 7. I was waiting for this update on the site of drivers for a while since I was able to get Windows 7 installed before Oct. 22 release. I'm running Windows 7 64 bit and I'm running into some trouble with these latest drivers doesn't work does not correctly.

    (Using Win 7 64 - bit Versions) U330 driver download site: http://consumersupport.lenovo.com/en/DriversDownloads/drivers_list.aspx?CategoryID=16

Switchable Graphics: there are 2 new Windows 7 drivers related to the video I downloaded. One referring to the ATI graphics card discrete address and the other to the Intel Graphics Media Accelerator. After installing these two, for switchable graphics BIOS setting and run the switchable graphics program from the desktop after startup, the menu desired with the ability to switch the GPU to gpu performance of energy saving. When I click on the button "gpu high performance ', the screen flickers and fades to black momentarily as it should, but when the screen comes back and then wait for a few minutes, no switch, it just stays in the powersaving gpu. Suggestions?

Power management software: I also downloaded Energy Management Windows 7 Lenovo driver for the u330. After installing the software, I was initially able to bring up the menu to change power options, but the options I chose would not involve no apparent change. After you install the program, it actually, my screen unable to change its brightness using the 'function + arrow' key combination. Also, more is when I change my windows default power supply options she adjusts the brightness of my screen. It remains just the same no matter what. The only way that I can now change my display brightness is by going to the Intel GMA graphics settings and change the settings there, but it's a completely horrible way to have to do that.

So now that you have it, after all this waiting I have always to use switchable graphics, or properly use the Lenovo power management software. Oh yes, and I can not adjust the brightness of my screen. I have re-uploaded and re-installed the drivers several times to try to make them work correctly, but so far no luck.

I would greatly appreciate any help on the subject or at least have the knowledge that someone at Lenovo noticed these problems and a fix will be available soon

    Thank you!

  • HP Pavilion P6 2055sc: Cant enter BIOS because graphic card problem.

    Hey!
So for the moment, I try to turn on virtualization, I m able to boot the computer into windows but do not enter network boot (anti-spam f10 key before the HP loading screen) but because of the past problems, I struggle to get into the BIOS.
It all started when I got a new (Asus Geforce GT740) graphics card and this caused my computer not being able to start, without forcing in the network boot.

But like I said, when im trying to get into the BIOS, it gets to the screen where it says "Press Escape to access the Boot Menu" which, at that time, it ignores when I press ESC.

I tried holding it, I tried all the keys F1 - F12, but nothing makes a difference, so im wondering if there is a way for me to get into the bios and work around this problem.
I looked for so updates to the BIOS, but I couldn't find one so far.

    @alilleland, welcome to the forum.

The reason for which the computer would not start with the GT installed 740 is, it requires UEFI in the motherboard instead of a standard BIOS.  If you always use the GT 740, I suggest to withdraw to see if you can enter in the Boot Menu.  You can do that by typing the ESC key as soon as the computer begins to start.

  • Graphics memory more after upgrading BIOS on Satellite A110-195

After update BIOS spécifiée for 1.30 to 1.60 available crahpic memory: 64 MB, must be 128 MB.

After the update or it my mistake?

I think it's your mistake. Graphics memory you will have if you use more RAM. As far as I know use this device comes with 512 MB of RAM, but you can improve it up to 4 GB.

  • Satellite C55-A-16Z - graphics card does not work after BIOS update

    Hello

I have a portable Satellite C55-A-16Z with windows 8 and a Nvidia geforce 740M graphics card.

Last week he asked me to update the version of the bios at 1.30.
    The bios update was successful.

However when I restarted my laptop I started having a BSOD dgxkrnl.sys.
Correction of the error and restarted for an another BSOD Windows, and after the second solution, I stopped making BSOD.
But now, I noticed its games running, if not use the dedicated card, but use the 4000 Intel.

In the settings Nvidia dedicated card is configured to be always on.
It seems that my card is missing, but it appears in Device Manager.
I tried to delete, update the drivers and the default factory reset, but nothing helped.

Also, when I go into Options power the Intel card is listed and when I disable the card intel in the Device Manager it starts to use the graphic viewer for windows.

How can I get my Nvidia card to work again?
    Any help is appreciated.

    Thanks in advance.

    Hello

After the BIOS update the BIOS should be set to default settings.
You can do it in the BIOS.

In addition, you mentioned that Windows 8 is still installed on your laptop.
8.1 to win has already been published by Microsoft and I highly recommend that update you the system of 8 to 8.1 Win Win.

Before you start the upgrade to 8.1 win, you should check and read the instructions step by step for Toshiba: http://www.toshiba.eu/innovation/generic/windows8_1-message/

I guess that after the Win 8.1, nVidia graphics card upgrade works well also.

Your comments would be greatly appreciated.
