  I just got my new BB bold 9900. Has updated the OS to v7.1.714. Now I see not a helmet on the homescreen icon when I plug the headphones of BB. Although I get sound when I plug from the 3.5 mm plug.

  Another issue is when I receive a call I am not able to hear the call, ringing on the headset, rather that I hear from the speaker as I would when no headset is plugged.

  I heard that it is a common problem when an upgrade of the OS is made. Is there a solution? Help, please!

  Thank you for your question about the helmet on the BlackBerry 7.1 software feature.

  The headphones icon should only appear in within the phone application and not on the home screen when connected and on a call.

  The ringtone will also go through the speakers of the device and not on taking 3.5 mm connected headphones. This is normal.

• BlackBerry Smartphones IM icon (yellow globe) home screen page doesn't GO AWAY

  It drives me crazy.  I don't have any apps downloaded on my device with the exception of BBM IM.  I don't have a message from blackberry in traffic but there is a yellow globe with a '1' beside him, right next to the time stamp on my home screen.

  I removed the battery and rebooted my phone.  I called customer service of bberry and they are of no use to me.

  Someone please tell me what to do!

  A round yellow icon, probably not an Instant Message icon.

  Go to your Messages folder > Menu > view folders > and look the WAP PUSH MESSAGES in your folder.

  Find message and open it, read it or delete it.

• Accounts of Gmail 2 Smartphones blackBerry on my BB. One works, the other does not work why?

  I thought it was a matter of BlackBerry initially, but now not so sure. When I add another GMail account, it works very well - so the problem seems to be something wrong with my original Gmail account. However, I compared each visible setting between the two accounts and can find no difference!

  Here's the question: when I get a message on my Gmail account on the BB, notification indicators all work fine, but when I open the icon "envelope" it does not show the Inbox. It shows a folder named 'All messages' instead, and it is empty. The continuous unread message indicator show that I have a message but nothing is there. I realized that if I select 'filter' in the menu, and then select the Inbox, it will take me in the Inbox and the message is there. All goes well until I put down and the next message arrives. Same thing every time. It's as if the default view is somehow summer past "inbox" to "All messages" and I can't find any setting to fix it.

  Looked like a BB problem at the beginning, but I've sent books service, deleted the account of the BB rebooted, added the account back, still no change. When I tried to add another Gmail account, it worked fine. Went back and added the first account, same problem.

  It's embarrassing to admit, but I am a IT consultant and I'm working on things like this all day. I've never seen a problem like this before and I'm stumped. Does anyone know of a way to make Gmail account icon on the BlackBerry default in the folder "Inbox"? Or anyone knows what might be associated with a Gmail account, which could cause such behavior on a BB

  BlackBerry 9000 "BOLD" v5.0.0.1067 with enhanced Gmail plugin - the most recent version.

  Problem solved! Finally, I deleted the icon of the envelope of this Gmail account on my BB and it prompted - "do you really want to delete the Gmail improve plugin? I've selected Yes and allowed him to restart. The message icon is still there after, but everything works fine now. If these problems similar witjh: do not reinstall the Gmail plugin... Just delete it.

  Excellent... using the timer you have done is usually the best approach (2 days is excessive IMO... but will work). You will still need to worry about the reconciliation of items deleted from your BB... when Outlook deletes the server (2nd day), you can expect to be removed from your BB... unless you disable sync OTA of the elements removed (in your configuration of BIS).

  One of my colleagues got just his BB and indicating the device simply synchronized or him remove the profile. Lack of contacts, emails were gone, schedule meetings missing etc... I have connected to our BES server, set the password activation and pushed to the device. I have connected since in the device, recreated his e-mail account of company and all seemed to have finished initializing. Noticed that the zone has taken time to initialize loooooong. I checked the time and date and both were correct. I checked his contacts, schedule meetings and everythin seems due back again all its e-mails are not returned. I sent many emails internally within our network of e-mail and outside my test hotmail account and unit did in fact bring but only after the re-initialzation I did this morning. Whatever it is before today was not returned.

  It is likely that his unit ran down on the memory and delete the data. But there is no "unsync" from the server. When the unit is short of memory it will erase the data in order to continue to run.

  The reason for which old emails did not return when you activated on the BES is this feature only works when you add a new device (new pin code) on the account, or if you delete and re - add the account. If you simply re-enable the device even on the BES you won't get old emails filled again. If you Google the mail in question you will find there is a solution but, if I remember it's kinda a hack of the BES to operate.

  I have a Curve 8310 and just downloaded the new version of the device 4.5 software. Since that time, the calendar in the BlackBerry doesn't send new appointments to the office. When I go in the Options of the calendar and click on the default device, the wireless sync option is marked 'No' and I can't change it to Yes. Any thoughts? Thank you.

  If I were you I would contact the IT admins. Among them, there will be some BES admins who work is to make synchronization work for all its users.

  You can "get rid of it.
  The only change you can make is the 5 bars can be changed by the numbers by pressing ALT + NMLL (instead of the signal bars, you see the actual level in dBm)

  I did a soft reset on my phone as I do from time to time when my provider has had problems since I have need of you reconnect and so on.

  When she came back, on the screen was one of these application permissionmessages you get when you load on an application asking if you want to allow the application - in this case free Phonelocate to receive the sms_receive_messages? Nothing was unusual that come on except it would not turn off, it would not allow me to scroll or more of this message (or even in this post by the way), no calls cannot get through, no warning, no nothing. He is stuck on this message and I can't use my blackberry at all.

  I tried to do a soft reset several times, tried to make a double soft reset, tried to take the battery for an extended period of time. I tried to connect to the computer to see if I could reload the OS and see if that would help, but while the computer and blackberry Device Manager it recognize the blackberry software is not and continuously says connecting until it times upward and asks me to try again.

  I can't do a wipe handheld because it requires me to be able to use my phone and I can't.

  So if anyone has any ideas I would be very grateful.

  OK, the "last" to you may not be the 'last' to me, or others. But I know that you get to this screen if you can't go past the permissions screen when you start.

  Try this, initialize the device a traction battery and when this permissions screen, press the ESC key once... that's the key to the right of the trackball. It should disappear.

  I don't think that moving to the iPhone will get apps loaded on your BlackBerry.

  Some developers to provide the files *.cod/*.alx for office facilities. Some do not.

  If the apps that you want to download the above files on your computer, use the Desktop Manager > AppLoader and move forward.

  the only way I know to date to define a symbol personalized in the ListBox uses the Invoke node, so I need to run my code to store an icon in control, once it's done I can remove my reading PNG file, invoke the node and keep coding. Subsequently, I can assume that the custom symbols are stored in the control and display them correctly by setting an index in the property node...

  Is there a way to do this without running the code? Just using 'Import from clipboard', or anything that could be done at the time of editing using the menus of LabVIEW?

  Oh, there's a way, using an invoke node to set the image and symbol, and then set the symbol.  Attached is an example recorded in 2011.

  EDIT: Sorry re-read the post and realize that this is not what you are looking for.

  Hi. I recently installed Windows 7 and everything is ok, but I can't set the time, like I always do.

  You do know that Windows has the set time as "Hh: mm" (a short) and "HH" (a long) by default. I love the 12-hour format, and I always change... But on Windows 7, I put it as "hh: mm tt" and 'SS tt' and 'h' and 'h' do not appear (example: it looks like this--> "07:23" when it is 19:23). Windows is not return an error when I put like that (if I write to you, for example, "hh: mm tt" return returns an error).

  I think it is a bug of Microsoft... any ideas? If I'm right, how can I report this to the company?

  By default, Windows 7 displays the time in 24-hour format, so if you want to get the AM/PM symbols, then proceed as follows:

  1. click on start, type intl.cpl and press ENTER, then the region and language dialog box appears.
  2 here, click the additional settingsbutton that loads the Custom Format window.
  3 now click on the timetab in this window and set the long and short time of hh hh: mm tt.
  4. click on the apply button and your system clock displays now AM or PM (if it is applicable at the time).

• BlackBerry Smartphones new icon has appeared

  After 2 years with my 8330, this morning, I received a new message icon.  It shows a 'happy face' with the Red Star indicating that something is there and the figure '1', indicating that there is one of these things.  The problem is that I have no idea what that something is.  It doesn't seem to be an email, an SMS, or anything else I use.  And the manual is silent on this icon.  Any help?

  I understand later.  Blackberry Messenger, with a troll, is trying to contact me.  All resolved.  Thanks for the idea.

• E-mail of all Smartphones blackBerry icons lead to SMS messages - so where's the emails?

  Hi all

  OK, first post and I can not solve a problem. My apologies if the answer is somewhere, but I searched for centuries with no luck.

  This is my father phone I'm having a problem with (I'm an Android man myself and it seems much easier to troubleshoot!)...

  Last week when he got on the phone, I added a 3 of his company on the phone POP3 accounts and Hotmail and they have seem to work very well. Each account appeared in the form of icons on the home screen and when I sent test messages to each that they were correctly received with the little star signs a new email on the respective icon.

  Then, when you tapoterez icon for each account, I would have taken in the Inbox for this account.

  Went to his place tonight and went a bit weird! When you click on icons email account I'm caught up in the 'messages' folder that contains only text messages. There is no way to access the emails in one of its accounts 4 e-mail.

  When a new email arrives now, there is a notice at the top of the screen at run time and is the only way to view an email. No way to access all existing emails.

  He has obviously done something, but I have no idea what.

  So all people ideas BB?

  Do a simple reboot on the BlackBerry this way:

  With the BlackBerry powereddevice, remove the battery for a minute and then reinsert the battery to restart. A reboot in this way is prescirbed for most the gltiches and operating system errors, and you will lose any data on the device doing so.

  Now, return to your main message folder > Menu key > Options > Inbox management and all e-mail account you want to separate, make sure it is disabled to NOT appear in the main folder of Messages.
