Static redistribution

Hello

When I redistribute static electricity in OSPF, made the process also redistribute the default gateway 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0?

Is there any other command for it?

Any link ORC welcome.

Thank you

Matteo

  • ASA VPN routing

Hi all. I have an asa 5510 connected to a switch 3750 with RIP, routing between the two devices. I have problems passing the VPN subnet via rip to the 3750. I probably do not understand how the routing table is filled on the asa so patient with me. I noticed that the routing table is filled with the VPN subnet, when clients connect. So, for example, I 192.168.1.1/32 client 1 connects to the routing table of asa. I then put static redistribution in place through rip on the asa. However, the 3750 never receives the rip update of the asa. All other channels are exchanged between thin devices. Any suggestions?

OK good to know that all Saran works fine now for you!

If you want to RIP through the POOL VPN, you must enable IPP on the SAA, would be to inject the pool VPN in the routing of the ASA table, which makes the ASA see it as a static route, and then you move forward on your type of RIP "Redistribute static" process The ASA would pass it along as a well known road of his table.

Believe me, I went through the same thing as you are now, a few years back! It was a pain in the neck but finally had someone who helped me with it! It took me almost 1 month to get help. On the side VPN seem ok, but I couldn't reach my home network. I was told to do what I mentioned at the top.

Regarding the graphics integrated circuits in the network, they seem ok to configure and ask them to do the work for you, but if not well thought to before implementation, you could probably yourself shot in the leg with her on the road. For me before I understood of IGP I very well understand the static. That helped me understand the routing protocols.

    I'm glad you're OK.

    Have a good one Phil

  • Static/OSPF Redistribution fails for specific Routes

    Hello

I have an ASA which is redistribution of static routes in OSPF with a standard access list and a roadmap (seq 10). For the most part, it works very well, however I have a problem where some networks will not redistribute.

I have a network summary, 172.16.0.0/16 which is redistributed. Another network 172.16.1.0/24 will not redistribute. Other networks like 10.0.0.0/24 will redistribute without any problem.

I tried to add a list of prefixes to the Roadmap (seq 5) as a test, with 172.16.1.0/24 as the only authorized route, but there is no change.

When I look into the ospf on the peer OSPF (Nexus 5 k) database, the synthetic route is present, but the more specific route is not.

I do not use any route filtering and no route-maps / ACL / prefix lists are set to deny.

Is there a reason that the ASA redistribute a more specific route in OSPF?

    Thank you

    Hello!

Share your config of ASA, its IP routing table and content LSDB please. In general, if you have redistributed summary, the specific routes referred to in this summary are not required to be redistributed and/or announced.

  • Redistribution of static routes in OSPF

    Hi all

It seems that the static routes can still live even if the designated interface went down.

I added a description for this problem file.

    Stephen,

I don't know why the distribution list did not work. Did you include the permit all at the end of the access list? Without it, you wouldn't get the external routes, as you journey.

I have just re-read the documentation for the ip route, 12.2 and 12.4, ' cos I wasn't aware of the useful form of the command that Rick suggested. Here is an excerpt:

Specifying a next digital jump which is on a directly connected interface will prevent the router to use Proxy ARP. However, if the next hop interface breaks down and the digital next hop can be reached by a recursive route, you can specify hop and the following interface (for example "ip route 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 Ethernet1/2 10.1.2.3") with a static route to avoid the roads pass through an unintentional interface.

Which describes your problem exactly, I think. He comes:

    http://www.Cisco.com/en/us/products/SW/iosswrel/ps1835/products_command_reference_chapter09186a00800ca75a.html#wp1018065

Therefore, the interface specification that force the static route to use only a local next hop.

    Thomas,

When the flight director is not accessible in the EIGRP topology table, the router does not use this EIGRP route in its routing table.

Probably, the road is overridden by any other routing protocol that has the lowest administrative distance.

Could you please share the routing table?

    Thank you.

    Thanks in advance.

    Neil

Add "internal to redistribute bgp' in your bgp process. By default, iBGP redistributed in a PGI. The reason for this is simply the amount of roads that can receive a bgp router can overload an igp very easily, if you want to filter routes during this operation.

After adding this, disable your bgp neighbors and you should start to see roads.

  • Instructions for managing macs w ARD on the internet (no static IP address)

Please excuse me if it's asked all the time, but I searched and can not find detailed instructions for this.

I need to manage more than one Mac, on connections to the internet, the devices will not be on the static IP, they will constantly be moving around.

All the videos I have found online seem to show how to connect and manage Macs on LANs w ARD.

    Details:

    ARD v3.8

    All Mac on El Capitan

    Very appreciated for any help!

This question is not particularly related to Apple Remote Desktop; for ARD.  This is a configuration of generic firewall and networking question, so good enough instructions for your specific firewall will work here, as long as the firewall can redirect ports - port TCP 5900, in this case - or if your particular firewall has a VPN - Firewall Server average range and high-end frequently - or if you can implement a VPN server behind your firewall and configure the firewall to forward the VPN protocols (different ports) and ports necessary for the particular VPN.

In general...  I would suggest three ways...   1: set up your firewall to port before port TCP 5900 to the client target.   Maybe TCP 5988.   Or set up a VPN server in your firewall and connect to that and use ARD via a VPN.    If you want to access more than one system on the target network, you will need to either use a range of ports to forward to specific systems behind your firewall and happens to be a problem with many customers - I don't know immediately off-hand if the ARD client allows even to select different target ports - or to set up and move to a VPN.    2: creation and configuration of the VPN server in the firewall allows access to all systems on your network target - a VPN connection makes your local system as it is directly connected to the target network.  3: If you have the VPN server running on a target system and accessible through the firewall port forwarding, this target system must always be available, and all VPN traffic is routed through this system.   It is more complex and can also be a bit difficult to set up.

If you directly expose ARD ports to the Internet via port forwarding, you'll want to either restrict the available source IP ports (to reduce the magnitude of the attackers), and you'll want to be very careful about passwords on target systems.   Ports of the ARD are detected very fluent, and several people and botnets will attempt to access the system password-baited; trying to guess the users and passwords on the target system.   Once attackers have a login and a password, they will then try to spread throughout the rest of the network.  (It's part of why I prefer to use virtual private networks).

Sierra of MacOS support PPTP VPN, so I wouldn't go with any configuration of VPN that you considered it.   I'd probably use L2TP/IPsec, because the customer is generally available in most of the other operating systems, Mac OS and iOS.

There is information available on the network ports used by Apple devices.   If you enable VPN port forwarding, there are discussions on the ports and protocols required to according to VPN you use posted around the ' net and not all firewalls is particularly good to port-forwarding, the protocols and ports VPN. "  Low-end older firewalls and firewalls tend to have problems here.

To locate on the networks of the target systems, you get to use dynamic DNS from client devices or other means to identify the public IP address that is associated with the target customer.   If customers are roaming on disparate networks and not simply roaming IP addresses on their private networks (these addresses can be fixed through DHCP configurations, too) and if you don't have access to intermediate firewalls, then you will probably have to rethink the entire approach, unfortunately.    Connection to mobile systems distance arbitrary is not especially it is possible, he must do something on the client that "tags" or "ad" its network metadata to your own server from tracking client or server monitoring of some other entity (for example messages to the DNS servers used by the dynamic DNS providers), or the management connection must be initiated from the client.    ARD does not support these mechanisms.   Discussions here can get pretty complex, too--in terms of network configuration, both in terms of security for the clients and servers.

There are a few related discussions this general topic in the forums. See here, here, here, here or here.

  • Airport Extreme - static IP configuration question

Question: AT & T has us on a range of public static IP address xx.xx.xxx.33 - 38 (six addresses). I already put in place with the gateway, subnet. But I need the Airport Extreme to provide more than just 6 addresses to support all of our devices. Is this possible and if yes, how I have set up?

Attempted solutions: I tried to expand the DHCP range manually in the settings of the utility. I changed it to 10.0.214.33 - 38 (which was the default range) to 10.0.214.30 - 39 to see if this helped more devices, but she did not.

Help, please! Our business leaders are coming and I need to have this resolved.

    Thank you

The key is that Apple routers are designed for general public use. They don't have many options when it comes to commercial applications. You better get a router that provides these additional features. I recommend that you consider the research in routers of professional level provided by Cisco (or similar) for this purpose.

None of the available options, provided by AirPort Extreme, will be able to satisfy your needs network entirely.

For example, you can use the network > router Mode to 'DHCP' option only This would use a public ISP IP addresses for the base station and to distribute the five for customers... other required network, but you will not be able to use this setting to distribute IP addresses private network customers remaining, as this option disables the service NAT on the base station.

Will on the other hand, using the NAT and DHCP option would take care to provide for the remaining machines, private addresses but allow only one device is accessible with a public IP address by placing the appliance in a DMZ. Apple calls this a "default host".

  • After update 10.11.6 (15G 31) electric guitar Garageband has static fort

    Hi all...

Not sure if it's my audio interface or the recent software update to blame, but this morning, I used my electric guitar with garageband perfectly without any problems. After that, I installed the 10.11.6 (15G 31) put day and after that, electric guitar Garageband a humming noise entry very loud as very intense static. My audio interface is Scarlett Solo that does not any drivers only, it connects via USB and works. If this update wouldn't have happened I could have blamed the device, also the microphone input works fine it's just the presets for electric that give me the question.

Anyone else have problems with electric guitar in Garage band after this update?

Thanks in advance for your time

problem solved. Apparently the fact that the update and the time where the question arose where it's just one of those unfortunate coincidences. It turns out it's the guitar cable. I replaced the cable and everything is back to normal.

  • A split screen device would hold the part of the static web page and allow you to scroll through the rest, it is possible?

I would like to be able to hold part of a static web page while scrolling down, more often if you follow a tutorial on the screen for setting something with 8.1, (unusual).
This feature would be similar to what office programs such as excel.
Is it feasible, or if I should open the same web page in several windows?

    See if it still works.

  • Version 29: Address bar is filled with static icons to Firefox. Impossible to type the URL in the address bar.

I have never seen anything like this before and can't find a solution in support or in a general Google search.

We have a user who has an address bar has filed with the static icons in Firefox (there's a screenshot if there is no way to predict that). If the user clicks on them, they aren't going anywhere (they shouldn't be here anyway, no?). This user is unable to type in the address bar, either. Not sure if there was an auto-update to version 29 of the next day or not, but Firefox has been uninstalled a sweet version of installed 29 - reasoning that he could be an installation problem. The question remains. This user is not having the same problem with Chrome. Have not tried to breed with another browser on that machine. Have not heard complaints from other users in the Office using version 29.

Is there a setting being ignored with version 29? Is this a bug? Should we try to install version 28 and see if it's a question of versioning, or maybe something else? Try to eliminate possible problems and move to the next set of solutions.

  • Static Fort at random

    Hello

    I use

Mid 2014 Macbook Pro retina 15'

Always work off OS X 10.9.5

    Logic Pro X 10.2.2

    IO: Avid Fast Track Duo

KRK Rokit 5 and low KRK subwoofer

So whenever I use logical just to do everything which, in perhaps the second time all my audio coming out turns into a (very) large static/white noise; stronger than I can even turn my USB interface. Nothing shows through the master or any other track specifically and as long as I keep logic open all the other audio (from ITunes) will be also distorted white noise. Whenever I bounce things this white noise never arose.

I checked the Avid knowledge base and I was directed to update my drivers... which unfortunately did not work. I have increased my IO buffer size all the way upward as well. The only other thing to note is that whenever I stop the track of the logic of the game, I can hear signals the reverb or the liberation of several instruments creeping, as usual, but distorted.

The only way for me to give it a temporary solution is to stop logic and then reopen logical and all is well, for another hour or two. I only heard one or two people on other external forums having this same problem which were never fixed to my knowledge, or have been fixed by increasing the size of the buffer. This is not only boring but very dangerous for my audition. Several times on different accounts, I hear my ears don't ring only after a half a second of this static. Any help would be appreciated.

    Thank you

    Kalebh

I don't know why he made this terrible sound but try uninstalling logic and the update to the new OS X. reinstall logic and try again.
