Stereo to mono track? Elements 9

Software non-linear as Avid import all the sounds in the form of mono track. Adobe is not, for some reason any. Instead, everything is in the stereo form. I need someone to explain how to change the stereo track on two separate mono tracks. This action is possible in Premier Pro via a parameter. Elements is not clear about this.

I have a wireless microphone and a camera microphone simultaneously record sometimes. I need this noise in the form of mono track to avoid ambient noise. Otherwise, when you turn down the volume of the track it affects them both.

Duplicate the track to Audio_2 Audio_1. Then use the "fill right" on Audio_1 (this deletes the existing left channel sound and it duplicates the right channel sound). Then use "Fill left" on Audio_2 (this deletes the existing channel sound right and it reproduces with the left channel sound). You have now two mono audio tracks, which will give you a mono output.

See you soon,.

  • Pierce the stereo track on two mono tracks

First 12 items. iMac. I have records with mono on a stereo track, the other track is empty. How to divide the track stereo to mono sound on both stereo channels? By using both channels on my video camera for different sounds, for example two people talking with separate pickups is a normal way of shooting. But the audio ends up as a stereo track when they are imported into Premiere Elements, and I have found no way to separate the tracks so you can work with them individually.

Go to the effects / Audio and use effect or fill right or left to fill in to spread the mono track on both channels.

  • How to put two mono tracks in the usual stereo display in the edition of Audition 3 mode?

    Hi guys,.

Previously, I had no problem simply using Adobe Audition 3 for simple recording and editing of a stereo stereo power not from mixer... well almost no problem... :-)

Today, I'm having a bad day, or maybe it's because I'm used to be retired... :-)...

Query: How can I put two mono tracks in the usual stereo display in Edit so they both display correctly there?

    • Put simply, I have two mono wav files. Let's call them Left_wav and Right_wav.
    • I can't seem to get imported into a new clean Edit (Normal stereo track route) view that Left_wav is half top and Right_wav is on the bottom half.
    • Whenever I try, I just get either Left_wav or Right_wav taking up the whole of the edit view. that is, it shows just a track.

Anyone who is familiar with hearing 3 help kindly can? I'd appreciate a simple step-by-step... I can't see where I'm going wrong, and it's driving me bananas :-).

    Thank you

There are different ways to do the Audition 3. Here is one.

Open two mono files separately in the edit mode. Then convert Left_wav in stereo by going to the types of samples to change/convert then under stereo channels with Mix of 100% left and right 0% mixture. This will give you a new stereo file with Left_wav on the top channel. Then go to the Right_wav and copy it to the Clipboard using edit/copy. Return to your new stereo file and activate right channel change only in the right channel Edit Channel/edit/change. Then make sure that the cursor is at the beginning of the stereo file and paste Right_wav into the channel at the bottom of the new stereo file. Finally, save as.

    Hello

I ve had a few clips with a Sony EX3. CH1 was the Japaner and CH2 my external microphone.

I worked in first Pro CS 5.5 and I went Audio on a clip to 2 Mono tracks instead of its original 1 stereo track. I brought in the Source monitor, and then on the timeline.

Then I realized later that I wanted to switch the sound to 1 stereo track instead of the 2 Mono tracks.

It is possible to do this? In the affirmative. How?

  • Stereo to Mono

    Hi all

I've recently been conversion former years 60 tracks from stereo to mono CD, do I have to use the EQ button at all? Any help would be appreciated as this is all new to me

    See you soon

    Paul

Difficult to answer this question completely, sometimes with the hardware of the 1960s recorded in 'stereo', when you reduce it in mono by adding tracks, things disappear! Basically it's the same and out of step in each channel, it cancels the when added together. And I've heard some really weird to happen over the years.

But the direct answer to your question is that by nature, you don't need EQ anything . If you do not like the sound you have, then of course you can change this with EQ if you want, but my experience is that usually, it does not help with this stuff; If it sounds crap, then when you have EQ'ed, it sounds like crap EQ'ed - if you see what I mean...

There is more, you can do some of this material, which is sometimes useful - but I don't think that this applies to convert to mono - it's more to do in obtaining more reasonable stereo images.

  • Change audio from stereo to mono I have 14 items!

Hello world! I have a problem that I really need help!

I just changed my first Pro CC for first items 14 and I'm using a Windows pc.

Due to a sound problem, I would like to change the audio from stereo to Mono, due to a problem with noise of crackling on portable devices using micro RODE NTG - 2. (for more information on the problem of mic check this video Audio problems using a Rode NTG - 2 condenser shotgun microphone. - YouTube). This problem is solved through audio from stereo to mono installation and I did it with success on first Pro CC by hitting shift + g key and then to change to mono - I followed by reading this comment (below) on a video about this problem...

Use the right to fill with the left or left fill with right audio effect. This will take one of your stereos and apply it on the two channels.

  • Audio stereo and Mono - why?

I tink a feature the more annyoying of the first is the way it handles the audio tracks.  I'm curious to know if it's just me or if someone else out there he is disturbed by the same thing.

I work on show a mini with a lot of music, sound effects and often 4 different microphones for actors at the same time.  Given that I have record 2 microphones on each cam (R and L), I like to import everything as mono clips so it breaks to the top of my audio and I can label that is on what layer/track.

Sometimes, I find myself with 20 different audio tracks.  Not because I NEED 20 layers, but because some of my SFX and stereo music and others such as mono and I cannot put a mono-clip on a stereo clip, and vice versa.  This is the part that drives me crazy.  I might need to add a second 1 swoosh SFX for some text coming and I must go to the layer 12 (scroll down way), when just below the video, there are 11 empty layers 'available', but cannot be used because they do not accept the placement of this track because it is in stereo when the clip is mono.  Make sense?  So, really, instead of 20 tracks, I could EASILY shoot with 10 first HAD a way to not be so fussy on the question of whether a track is stereo or mono and capable of handling just everything you dish it.

Premiere Pro finally got away with format-specific effects.  Now, instead of 3 fill effects (mono, stereo and 5.1), it is fair to fill, and it works on any track.  It wouldn't hurt if PP is went even further in the next version and went agnostic on the tracks themselves.

Make ' em all mono, with a right of option 'direction' in the header.

So, I'm bad to think 5.1 sequence option is what you wanted. I'm sorry. You want to separate the 6 channels. Then with your initial configuration, your Audio Track mixing table appears as the posted screenshot?

  • In the first 11 elements, can I convert a stereo, one mono audio track?

The microphone that I use on my digital SLR when video recording is a mono microphone (Canon 5 d MkII dslr, Hama lapel MIC). When I import video in first items 11, audio playback in mono - is there a way I can convert the audio in stereo?

    Thank you.

    Tom

    Welcome to the forum.

In fact, you cannot convert a mono source in true stereo, because it requires two microphones., but you can convert it to 2 mono channels. The difference is that you have the same signal on both channels, unlike stereo ture, where signals differ according to the micro system.

According to Steve, you can fill out to the left, or fill right, or you can just drag another Instance of your Audio Clip to a different Audio track mono. In the Audio Mixer Panel, you can pan to the left and one right.

Also, just like pre your mono 2 channels output mix, it will give you 2-Channel Audio signal even in the two ways, if you let the Pan toward the Center.

    Good luck

  • How to complete the two channels of a stereo track in a mono track?

I have recorded on the L channel a stereo recording with the interviewer and the interviewee has recorded on the channel of a. I applied the two fill 'right' and 'left fill' to the runway, then cut and switch between the two, when appropriate. However, when they are all two talk, I'd like that the two channels to be active, but not as a stereo track (because otherwise the sound is actually mono) and turning on the two "fill right" and "fill left" at the same time seems to feed each channel at 50% instead of 100%, at least that's what I guess since there is a significant drop in level.

    Any suggestions? I'm on CS6.

OK, here is the solution I've worked.

I created a new track to mono submix at the bottom of all my songs. In the Audio Mixer Panel, I remapped my stereo audio track to go to the mono submix track before going to the master. This forces all the audio out as that mono the end, which is exactly what I was looking for.

For what it's worth, one track stereo padding right or double left audio and is stronger then the railway normal stereo, even if she plays two audio channels, they don't add to the intensity of the double mono. I just applied a + 4dB gain stereo sections to compensate for this.
